I was at this show. It was my first time ever to Mexico. My entire Spanish vocabulary is contained in this song. LOL. I found this band a couple of years ago. I am a Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera kind of guy. Have been all my life, but The Warning speaks to me in a way no other band has. One thing I find unique, is I know people that are fans of classic rock, or fans of metal, and even some that are more pop fans, yet they are all drawn to The Warning. At the time this video was shot, they were 19, 17 and 14 years old, with an EP and 2 full albums in their catalog. This was a single released the night of this show. They are just about ready to record their third album. They are going places.

Dust to dust sounds like 90's rock like sistemof a down or so, QOTMS sounds like 70's rock like Judas priest, This is the end sounds to me like the 80's girl band "heart", Psychotic sounds like: the Offspring, Sinister Similes sounds like early 80's pop rock etc.I LOVED IT!!!
I'm 53, and one of those people that leans more towards pop and rock than metal. Growing up, my favorites were the Beatles, The Cars, Prince and Cyndi Lauper. My tastes could range from easy listening like Dionne Warwick to Disco, to 70/80s rock with Kiss, Styx, Journey, etc. to rap from people like Young MC, Hammer, and Eminem. I was never into the hair bands like Poison or Motley Crue. Never into the grunge like Nirvana. Other than an occasional song like 'Enter Sandman' I wasn't into metal. I used to joke that Van Halen was as heavy as I wanted my metal to be. Yet, I have been completely drawn to the talent, dedication, energy, and music of The Warning. All because, in 2018, someone I don't even know slipped their 2014 Enter Sandman cover into my Facebook feed, with the description saying something like "watch these little girls cover Metallica" and it sounded like it would be cute. After being blown away by the talent displayed by such young girls I had to look them up to see what they had been doing since that 2014 cover. I've been amazed and pleased by all their work since. Both the earlier covers and all the originals. In 2020... The Warning ... my favorite band.

They are independent band and dont want to sign with a label because they don't want to be turned into a band that they arent. They have control of their bright future

The Warning started making music very young Paulina and Alejandra at 3 and Dany 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to UA-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2013 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 20 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!. Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. After completing Berklee The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. The Warning a Pop Band? You girls just threw a dagger at TW and their fans heart. They're no pop band. They sing Rock music. Both their albums are Rock. They even said they like pop music, but not to write or play. They like playing rock music. They write and arrange all their songs. They were on the Ellen show 5 years ago because of their youtube video where they played and sang Enter Sandman. They have had more than a few opportunities to sign to a record label but all the labels wanted to change there music and water it down to the pop crap you hear on the radio these days. One label asked then if they wanted to play to 12 people or 12,000 people and the girls said we will play to 12 people if it means we can keep our artistry the way we want it. They walked out and never looked back. Since then they have opened for Def Leppard twice and the Killers twice to 15,000 fans each night and performed a festival that roughly 15,000 fans showed up just to watch this band play as there was nothing else scheduled before or after them. These girls are on the rise and are making a name for themselves!

Mis recomendaciones para otras reacciones de The Warning: *Survive* que también es bastante rock pop pero no deja de ser muy buen tema (el video de su presentación en TEDx Talks acaba de superar el millón de vistas) , Si quieren algo más heavy sugiero *Dust to Dust* y *Dull Knives (Cut better)* , también recomiendo *Shattered Heart* que recuerda a rock setentero y *P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C* que es su lado punk. This song was basically a middle finger from the band to all their detractors who were criticizing the band for only writing songs in English. They did an outstanding job.

I think maybe the reference to pop might be because The Warning does use pop elements in songs, along with classic rock, metal and other things. If you have to put them in a genre, rock is the best fit, but labels can be confusing. But their songwriting skills are at a higher level than most and that’s why there is a lot of variation in their sound.
The majority of these girls fans are 50+ guys raised on *REAL ROCK* and not the crap that we hear today. For us this is almost like the return of Christ. 🤘😎🤘

The drummer is not the lead singer. She just is on this song and a few others and is sometimes joint lead. The guitarist is the lead singer about 80-90% of the time. The bassist sings lead every now and then, often when the main lead is feeling under the weather. But I'm guessing she'll probably do more lead as her confidence grows (she's the youngest and a little shy - like me in fact). Anyway, in your own time, there are 32 more original songs (in English) you can react to! In terms of genre, I'd describe them as catchy, melodic hard rock, but you will sometimes find pop elements, sometimes metal, sometimes punk. The Warning is The Warning!

You should react to Otro Día Para Ser, by Hermetica. For me, the most influencial heavy/thrash metal band in Argentina, and one of the best in latin america for sure. Filled with social meaning and sistem critizes, heavy metal in argentina since them and V8 (another metal band) is something for the poor class and the lyrics are mostly social wise. The Warning are the only Latin rock band in history to have signed up with a major US record label. Go down the rabbit hole. Check their 1st cover of Enter Sandman in 2014 that has garnered more than 24 M views till date. They were 14, 12 & 9. Personally this is my least favorite The Warning song. It is catchy yes, it could even sound in any comercial radio station but I would not say it sounds like RBD or Belinda. This three young ladies were 18, 16 and 13 I believe when this concert happened. They are great musicians and trained in clasical music since they were very little. They only have two spanish songs but the rest of their songs are english and some are actually heavier. If you do decide to keep reacting to this band you should do the Lunario concert in which they play their second album Queen of the murder scene, the first song on that concert would be Dust to Dust, in which Pau the drummer also sings. Even though all three can sing very well the main singer is Daniela the guitarist. Also, this band has opened for Def Leppard and The Killers.

They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues.
In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. The Warning is totally fan funded through Patreon, UA-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because[a] they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... They have had more than a few opportunities to sign to a record label but all the labels wanted to change there music and water it down to the pop crap you hear on the radio these days. One label asked then if they wanted to play to 12 people or 12,000 people and the girls said we will play to 12 people if it means we can keep our artistry the way we want it. They walked out and never looked back. Since then they have opened for Def Leppard twice and the Killers twice to 15,000 fans each night and performed a festival that roughly 15,000 fans showed up just to watch this band play as there was nothing else scheduled before or after them. These girls are on the rise and are making a name for themselves!

This song was basically a middle finger from the band to all their detractors who were criticizing the band for only writing songs in English. They did an outstanding job.

I think maybe the reference to pop might be because The Warning does use pop elements in songs, along with classic rock, metal and other things. If you have to put them in a genre, rock is the best fit, but labels can be confusing. But their songwriting skills are at a higher level than most and that’s why there is a lot of variation in their sound.
The majority of these girls fans are 50+ guys raised on *REAL ROCK* and not the crap that we hear today. For us this is almost like the return of Christ. 🤘😎🤘

The drummer is not the lead singer. She just is on this song and a few others and is sometimes joint lead. The guitarist is the lead singer about 80-90% of the time. The bassist sings lead every now and then, often when the main lead is feeling under the weather. But I'm guessing she'll probably do more lead as her confidence grows (she's the youngest and a little shy - like me in fact).
Anyway, in your own time, there are 32 more original songs (in English) you can react to! In terms of genre, I'd describe them as catchy, melodic hard rock, but you will sometimes find pop elements, sometimes metal, sometimes punk. The Warning is The Warning!

May want to check out Madball and/or Raised Fist. Some of Madball's stuff is in Spanish. Raised Fist is mostly (all?) English but they're Swedish. Both are Hardcore.
Totally missing out by not reacting to more of their stuff. Anything but pop. Queen of the murder scene needs to be done in order with a little research on what the story is about. Plus their other songs are great. They can't be classified by one genre. They have so many influences.

You should react to Otro Día Para Ser, by Hermetica. For me, the most influencial heavy/thrash metal band in Argentina, and one of the best in latin america for sure. Filled with social meaning and sistem critizes, heavy metal in argentina since them and V8 (another metal band) is something for the poor class and the lyrics are mostly social wise. Personally this is my least favorite The Warning song. It is catchy yes, it could even sound in any comercial radio station but I would not say it sounds like RBD or Belinda. This three young ladies were 18, 16 and 13 I believe when this concert happened. They are great musicians and trained in clasical music since they were very little. They only have two spanish songs but the rest of their songs are english and some are actually heavier. If you do decide to keep reacting to this band you should do the Lunario concert in which they play their second album Queen of the murder scene, the first song on that concert would be Dust to Dust, in which Pau the drummer also sings. Even though all three can sing very well the main singer is Daniela the guitarist. Also, this band has opened for Def Leppard and The Killers.
