Double Trouble 4th of July Boat Ramp

Happy 4th of July everyone it was a busy morning with Doudle Trouble fail at the Boat Ramp. A jetski fell of it's trailer at same time a truck became stuck by running off the end of ramp.

I launched on the 3rd. Camped out and came out today at 12. I was the only one getting off the water. Perfect.

If you could put the two together, you might have a functioning brain cell. Seriously why is this so hard? How many times do you have to launch and retrieve your own vessel to get a feel about how it is going to perform on any given ramp? Ok, first time with a new boat, I can see a little trial and error, but if you follow the 1/3 exposed rule on a regular bunk, you've got about 90% of the learning curve down pat. Then you can make minor adjustments per the steepness of the ramp or the weight you are carrying. I launch and retrieve my my heavier boat with the trailer bunks slightly deeper (just shy of 1/4 out 75% of the time), and my Jon boat really doesn't matter to be honest. It's so light, I can wench it up with half of the bunk exposed if I want to, and have at a some funky ramps that drop off into the abyss

Where is the boat for the stuck trailer? Run a line under the trailer up to a bow cleat and it will float the trailer enough to pull it out.

These city owned and private boat ramps need to have an officer/employee to direct traffic and keep things moving when it gets busy.
