Yes, she was a special little soul. The connection made stronger by her struggles I suppose. Thanks for your kind comment. Steve and Maple (the new pup on the block)
Sorry for your loss Steve . I know too well how this feels. Just come across your videos and really enjoying them . Keep up the good work. John in the uk.
Hello John in the UK, thanks for that. I regularly watch a young couple living on their narrow boat which travelling the UK canals. Cheers from South Australia. Steve and Maple
to loose our mate is something that many do not under stand i lost mine the worlds best listener and constant companion i was lucky i had him for close to 14 years ,then came the day he nudged me and sat down and crossed the rainbow bridge ,never to be replaced ,but still with us in an urn waiting for me to cross that bridge been over a year and still miss him i know how you feel personally think they are 4 legged Angles sent to us for a time when we need that help a paw on your leg a sloppy lick and knowing eyes watching you as you speak to them ,gota go sorry
Yes indeed. I miss her dearly and there is definitely a big hole in the shed, amongst other places. She was a challenge from day one and we didn't know we were dealing with a dog who was, for the last year and a half at least, in pain. I too have had several dogs over the years, but this little girl pulled my heart strings like on other. Thank you for you kind thoughts and comments. Alas my friend, we push on knowing we were lucky to have had such a connection with such a beautiful soul. Take care, Steve
Hi Steve just wanted y’all to know we were thinking of you this Christmas. It took me this long to decide what I wanted to say. And it amounts to just Hello and Merry Christmas. God bless y’all my friend.
So sorry to hear Steve, she lived a blessed life being with you by the looks of things. She will definitely be with you in spirit in that shed as you continue your journey with the boat. They really are family. Take care of yourself and rest in peace Millie
I'm speechless on this. Millie seemed so infallible, so unstoppable, such a vibrant piece of your (and our) lives. Had no idea she was suffering so much-- it never showed. I only hope that she went painlessly and peacefully and, Steve: honor her memory by not replacing her too soon-- regardless of that gaping hole in your life. Rest In Peace, Millie.
OMGOODNESS! 🥲 My heart breaks for you and your family. Especially just having to deal with the same thing two weeks ago. My words escape me, my friend and all I can say is “ I’m very sorry “ She will be truly missed. Run and play hard again, Millie, no more pain.
My deepest sympathies! This really hurts in my heart, for you and your family but also because we have a cocker spaniel born just 3 weeks before Millie was born and I know how much a dog means to the family. I just got a big tear on my cheek…😢
Oh je, sehr traurig zu sehen. Auch wir haben unsere Hündin verloren. Der Schmerz scheind unerträglich. Bewahrt euch eure Erinnerungen an die schönen Zeiten.
Sorry to hear of your loss Steve. We had to say goodbye to our 16 year beagle, Daiquiri a couple of years ago so we understand your pain. We still think we hear her snoring occasionally but as time goes on we hear her less and less but her memory remains.
Aw Steve, being a doggy daddy myself my heart bleeds for you. I was missing you but now I understand. Life's pretty quiet without a mate who never questions your ideas😢 .
I’ve just cought up to this “episode”. And I’m shocked. Millie not around from here on. I’m sure it hit you and mrs’s hard. We love our pets. We talk to our pets and we sense what they’re thinking. The folder in my phone that has the dogs we’ve had/have is labeled “OUR CHILDREN”. I wish I could show you my Madison, a Belgian Mawl who we didn’t want her to suffer any more. I made the gut wrenching decision to put her down. I cried like a baby. I couldn’t go back to work for few days. Lucky I had a very understanding supervisor. I’m so sorry for your loss 😢🙏
Hello Bruce, yes, devastating. She was a special one as most of them are. She is at peace with no more suffering. I am sorry for your loss as well. Thanks for your thoughts and kind words. Take care. Steve and the new pup on the scene, Maple. (Man she is a lot of work) LOL but gorgeous.
Very sorry for Millie’s😢 loss, dogs are the best companions, the boats going nowhere so whenever you’re ready you’ll get back on it. I really enjoy your uploads.
I'm sorry to hear Millie had passed. In an early episode, you mentioned her developing storm anxiety. I had lost one of my dogs 8 yrs back due to her storm anxiety. So I hope that it wasn't the cause of Millie's passing. Hopefully, she went peacefully. Washing you and your family all the best. ❤
Thanks. No that was not the cause, just one of the symptoms of her debilitating condition. She was living in pain which was driving her mad. She went down hill really fast in the last few weeks. She was only 3 1/2 yo. At least she is at peace now. No more pain.
Beautiful tribute
Thanks Rory
I'm very sorry for the loss of Millie. It is so plain to see how much you loved her.

@steveshierdoesstuff7420 I'm sure that was hard and thankful you all found peace. We can safety say she was happy in her well loved home while there.
😪
So sorry, unfortunately I know what you're going thru, lost my old mate but be happy that you loved her and gave her a great life
Thanks, yes I miss her. It was really hard seeing her go down hill so fast. She had a great life, short as it was.
