Yeah I have to remind myself of ffxiv geography like once a month because I forget everything.
But they have meracydia text on the map so it’s possible we will be traveling there too
Haha yeah I was in that mindset too, it seemed so logical. That doesn’t mean we won’t go to Meracydia this expansion though, look at Garlemald and Thavnair from EW. They were so far apart but tied into the story well enough. I’m super excited either way haha.
Did they? I saw the new map had the South Sea Isles but couldn’t see much further south.

Meteor can remove any clothes he wants and I'll be happy, TBH.
I do kinda hope they continue to build on The New World. I’d like to see the northern half of the continent which most people assume is more North American whereas this is very Central/South American

That is the Mamool Ja, who are featured in the blue mage questline! (Blue magic is from the New World) You can tell, because the Ixal have birdlike beaks, and the Mamool Ja do not. However, there may be an Ixal town in the new world, judging by architecture shown in the presentation slides.
From the trailer this seems like a much needed breath of air after the angstfest that was EW. Just look at G'raha enjoying some nice food, and Urianger with a fruity drink. Cant wait.
