3:00 Alisae is holding a sugar apple of sorts! If you are curious, this fruit comes from the genus of annona. The fruits are usually sweet, soft, a bit floral, and some may taste a bit custard-like! Fun fact: a lot of trees from this genus are poisonous (save for the edible fruit (not the seeds)) and of the two species I had experience growing, it would release a bitter scent when touched or jostled slightly to try telling herbivores to not eat it.

Meracydia is EXTREMELY isolationistic especially after the issue with the Allagans in ages past. At present Meracydia will att, sink or kill anyone that approaches their shores. So if we do go to Meracydia it would not be openly or if we had a VERY good introduction npc (Tiamat)

The issue with going off the armor/threads is so many of them do have little things that could hint at other job classes Not doubting it'll be Pirate, if not Pirate-adjacent (tho i recall them saying the new Job Classes were gonna be brand new to the franchise?)
I'm glad all the scions are here and interested in what they described as a conflict or rivalry between two different groups of scions. We might have a party member from the new world because the narration at the end of the video is from someone who calls Tural their home.
As for how it doesn't look like the "cowboy aesthetic", Dawntrail seems to be just be on the scope of the Southern side of the New World (Relative to Southern American style and culture). In the future, they might cover on the Northern side of the New World which would cover Northern America and comically now make that one outfit make sense. *cough* 'new world outfit' *cough*

That said, I think legitimately at this point they're all just...friends now. Friends that go on adventures together. Fresh faces are definitely needed, but the old ones are still welcomed for me personally.
My only worry is the Scions taking spotlight away from new characters and even Krile, I'd like them to just chill out and let somebody else get Flow'd for once.

On the topic of new characters, yeah i can understand that I guess going thru, and seeing the Scions as, basically just our errand giver, it was nice to *finally* have them HELP in Shadow Bringers They have moments in the MSQ, but the Trust System, finally made them feel like they were *actively, HELPING* (its a bit of a gripe i have, along with how many times our WoL is just standing dumbfounded, when they can literally suplex the big bad in 0.2 nano seconds...) So i dont mind them sticking around, just for the sake of having them help out now. But yea, i understand the take of weve had them around for so long. It helps they slowly gave earlier bits the Trust System, but god. Its hard not to agree with Gaius and Issilbard after soloing most of ARR thru Storm Blood... (with 3 to 7 of our adventuring friends) Back on topic, i do like the idea if Graha and Estenine are the only recurring characters, seeing as they really joined in, late ShB. (they were in ARR, but Graha got sidelined, hard, till ShB. Estenien was anti hero class quest, to main role in HW, to background in SB, to sideline background in ShB) So they act as our connection to our previous team. Like the 3 mentors for the new Scions coming up or something.

Don't worry, the reaction in the room for Erenville was the same. e: I actually latched onto Nidhana as our local, "native" pal in Endwalker moreso than Varshahn/Vrtra for the reason you said. Nidhana is one of my favorite characters in the whole game because she is bursting with agency and intelligence, and I hope we see more of her over the years. At the moment, the core combat Scions are: elezen, elezen, miqo, hyur, elezen, miqo, and elezen, with our primary support Scions being lala + lala. No roes, auri, viera, or hrothgar. There needs to be some sort of shakeup where we expand the core group!
You might still be able to do cowboy in this expansion! Since tural seems to be fantasy South America, you can be a gaucho! (And then do a re-enactment of El Gaucho Goofy)
I can't understand how one can mix them. Ixali are birds with two curved horns on their head, Mamool Ja are lezards with only one horn. It was the same with people confusing Vrtra for Tiamat when they don't even have the same head. Tiamat has horns poking backward around her head, while Vrtra is the only one in the First Brood to have this big horn on his nose. It's as if I said Estinien was Emmanellain, or G'raha was X'rhun...
