My heart hurts for you so bad.😢 Our two year old son was overdosed with 7 times the amount of anastasia than he was supposed to receive for his body weight, for what was supposed to be a very simple, straight forward surgery. He went into cardiac arrest, twice and died. Absolutely avoidable, and forever heartbreaking. Your Mom is Blessed to have you for a daughter; You have been a Terrific advocate for her; Keep taking just one minute at a time. 😢
Omgosh Im so sorry to hear that. That's why I chose not to go into healthcare. I couldnt live with myself if I made a mistake and hurt someone. I was set to be in healthcare and took all the prerequisite classes for it. I cant imagine what you've been through with your son and all the feelings that go along with that. Again, so so sorry
Oh, hun, I am so, so sorry for your loss... A mother should never have to lose a child... Especially at the hands of a medical provider! A person that we put our faith and the life of our loved ones to heal them!
I am so sorry your mom is going through this. I'll be praying for you all. I've always enjoyed when your mom made an appearance in the vlogs. She's such a sweet person. I pray she recovers fully.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to update us. I am hoping that Esther will feel better soon. Don’t forget to take care of yourself too! Prayers to you all from Israel.
So so sorry Andrea about your mom! I know how it feels to have a loved one in such a vulnerable position and then on top of it all having doctors make terrible mistakes that can cause so much harm! We live in Jacksonville Florida and in 2016 my husband had a spontaneous mesenteric artery rupture and was life-flighted to UF Gainesville since they have the only Vascular team/hospital in Florida. He was deemed inoperable but by the will of God and without any reasonable explanation he survived the unthinkable. I am positive if he would not have been transferred he would not have made it! I PRAY your mom comes out of the coma and I know you are such a great advocate for her!! Much love and strength to you and the whole family !!!!! Miracles DO happen!!! ❤😢
I am praying for you and your family. I have met your mom on many occasions. She is wonderful and strong. I look forward to seeing her again. I have seen you in town too. I was going to say hello but I thought this might be one of those little moments when you were able to escape your thoughts. We all can use those. Much love a prayers to you and your family 🙏❤️
Andrea, as always, prayers and love to you and your family, from Harvey, Louisiana 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Your Momma is a strong lady! She will pull through! The fact that she made it through an aneurysm rupture speaks of her strength!❤❤❤❤❤ I Love you girl!💞 Hugs the kids and say hello to Hadar for me!
Hello! I’m a nurse all the way from Melbourne Australia!! I pray your Mum gets well soon. If you have any questions or just want to talk, I’m here. I spent many years working with stroke patients. As for your question, ICP means intracranial pressure x
Continue prayers for your mother. Cause you know that she can hear and understand… when the dr was talking about survival rates in front of her .. I know that would scare me if I were in her place.. ❤
Tears rolling down my cheeks....so sad to see her like this....she is always such a active lady and enjoys life....strong prayers for you dear Ester.....God bless you dear sweet lady.....❤
Andrea, I have been watching your family for years. Seeing your grandma in your videos with her adorable laugh and alot of spunk always makes me smile. Thank you for sharing her and your life with us. I pray for her and your family. May Gd get her better and she can come home soon.!💗💗💗💗
I hate seeing her like this, but she is a strong woman. I will continue praying for you and your family, I hope Rafael and Abigail are doing good that had to be scary for them seeing it happen. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Vermont here. Lisa. Stay positive as I know you are. I’m sure she’s exhausted. Grandmas doing a great job fighting. God bless her and all your family. If she needed something that would make her more comfortable or a question to ask, could she write or no? Love you guys. I was watching an old pudding clip of Rafael. “There’s nothing there”. Rafael: “not until it’s open!” “It is open honey”. Love the progress he’s made. So smart and Abigail too.
The part of her brain that was affected was the movement and fine motor skills. Language wasnt affected and life-support systems (lungs/organ function/heart) was not affected, but her breathing from COPD has been a major factor in her recovery and decline. We're working on that right now, in case she can recover or not. Coma is tricky and she has had a lot of damage. Thank you so much.
@@FoolyLiving I hardly ever comment but was just wondering if you or your mom's husband have any say so over anything that's bring done or not done? Meaning to suggest the nurse move the tubes away from her eyes so she can open them or can you suggest to let her eat something... meaning if she ate then it might help her to recover better because eating is such an everyday thing. Idk Andrea, I'm sorry I just feel for you and all y'all are having to go through. I shall pray that God's will be done in your Mom's life. I pray God gives her a speedy recovery Andrea. Don't forget to take care of yourself as much as possible ✝️🙏❤️
Oh my goodness I've been watching your family since Rafael was about 3 years old. He reminds me so much of my son. I feel for your family at this time. I lost my Grandmother this way. She was home alone and this happened to her. She did not survive. Thank god you were there so you could get her help right away! She really is fighting. I hope the best for her! I'm thinking of you and your family ❤
My heart is broken for you. I’m so angry at such medical errors causing your mom to deteriorate due to their negligence. Don’t give up hope Andrea. Praying for your health too. Try to get a little “me” time to rest. She’s gonna need you. All my love going out to your family, Darla
I don’t know if it would help things but Cincinnati has the leading #1 stroke hospitals. Seek advice from them if you can? Second opinion sometimes is needed
Aaaah hello my friend....been thinking so much of you all and the kids and mom....been watching your videos...she is one strong lady....so sad for what she is going through and it all happened so quick.....please tell her I send my love and I am praying for her here in South Africa....a big hug to you all....God bless you dear Andrea.....love you all.....❤❤❤

I’m so sorry for your mom going through this. I know that ‘worry’ feeling all too well.. I went through similar stuff with my mom. Hospitals are exhausting.. Please rest as much as you can.I will be praying for your mom and you. 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
I feel so bad for all of you! It is like deja-vous for me with my dad. Please know I am thinking of you and praying that your mom is able to hang on and recover from this nightmare!!!
Sending continued healing energies to Mom- she’s going to get thru this! You are a wonderful daughter who is doing a fantastic job holding down the fort. Much love from NYC 🙏🏼💜🙏🏼
I keep checking in on you. So sorry you are going through this. I was one of your first followers and feel like I "know" your family. All the best to your family.
Omg Andrea ! Prayers for her and you ! About that nurse I had one like that and I turned around and told her you don’t like your job stay the hell home !!! The other nurses are nice what is her problem… ♥️🇨🇦
Praying for a second miracle. With God, all things are possible. Your mom is so obviously a fighter and an incredibly strong woman! I see where you get your strength, Andrea. I'm sure your mom feels your loving presence with her. Continued prayers 🙏 for your mom, your dad, your brother, you, and all of your sweet family❣️
Hi Andrea, this is the second time my comment has disappeared. I honestly don't know what I could be writing that UA-cam has an issue with. I pray everyday for your Mom's recovery. It's so sad to see her awake and moving knowing she went into a coma the next day. It was precious to hear her laugh at what the PT said about getting rough with her when you're not around! I continue to hope, pray, and send positive thoughts to you and your family. I love you guys!❤
Continuing to Pray for you all, You guys being there with her everyday is helping her so much for her soul and the cheering her on in the progress she had made is Huge. That is one thing My Mother told me when she recovered that the support was huge. Sending you Prayers, Love and Hugs❤
Yeah it must be so hard to be in there and not have family or friends visit you. We were in there every single day and only one other family for one patient was ever in and they only came on Sundays. Its really rough, and I wonder if maybe they have volunteer programs so people can visit those who dont have family. It just seems really rough to have to do this alone. Until youre in the situation, you dont realize just how bad the state of literally everything is. I'm just looking at everything in a whole new light and I see major deficits in healthcare atm.
@@FoolyLiving I agree, My Husband had 2 Strokes during the C and the First One was Hard on both of us because I couldn’t be with him, the Second Stroke he lost his Memory and Only remembered Me so I instead on being there with him and the Dr. agreed the we’re afraid he would leave and I am glad I did because there were hours that they didn’t come in because they were short handed. Well I will pray for her continued recovery I know it’s a long journey, Love and Hugs!
Prayers for her every day, God please give her your healing and strength to get better🙏. I hope you're coping ok, you are amazing Andrea and thank you for sharing this, thinking of you all every day
Praying for her and your whole family! I survived multiple blood clots and had massive ones in lungs. I'm 2 years out, I'm so sorry she's allergic to the Hep meds and pray that each day that passes her clots begin to be absorbed and get smaller in her body! I'm in central florida and the hospitals here are great I don't believe you're far if ever needing 2nd opinion.
Yeah I had no idea you could live blood clots in the lungs, but I've learned a lot from this incident! It is good that you have recovered and you make me hopeful for my mom because she has blood clots everywhere, literally just everywhere, including the lungs. I know you probably went through a lot of pain with that, I can't even imagine. Glad you are doing well now, and I hope you dont have any more problems with that. Do you take low dose aspirin daily now? I started to now, since this could be a problem genetically for us.
Always remain hopeful, I had so many nurses make me doubtful at times but kept my spirits up, I'm on a blood thinner still (I got my clots from being on bed rest and had a broken leg I was only 32) for IUD/PCOS and also overweight so that's a risk factor BUT when I come off the blood thinner (Eliquis we've just 1 year ago lowered my dosage) I'm going to start the aspirin but the big aspirin from what I remember the hematologist saying. Have they mentioned putting any filters in to block the clots from traveling through the heart or anything? I know each case is different but please don't give up any hope! Also make sure to not massage any areas that the clots are I massaged my leg because it was cramping and that's how my DVT became a PE. @@FoolyLiving
What a strong woman. I really beleive with time and her body resting in the coma she will get through this. She just needs some more time ❤ it is so heartwarming to see your dad their. I can tell how much he loves her and how much he needs her. ❤️ stay strong Andrea . 💪
Your sweet mum. So sorry Andrea. I am a little shocked how much the hospital expect her to do with such a serious injury. I would think that's too much physio.
Andrea, if they aren’t feeding her via feeding tube, are they giving her TPN ( total parenteral nutrition). Nutrition through the vein. I was worried about your mom getting rid of the breathing apparatus with her emphysema. I love that physical therapist! You can tell that she is trying so so so hard. She is a fighter Andrea and she will get through this! It makes all of the difference in the outcome. Tell your mom that so many of us are praying for her!
She has trach and peg right now, but she's allergic to milk and I've said for months now that shes allergic to the food they're giving her and no one has changed it out. It has milk and soy in it and they make her hard to breathe, but I'm just not listened to and I dont know what to do. It's like they can't imagine that someone is allergic to milk and it makes them hard to breathe, like I'm lying, but it even makes me hard to breathe and gives me gastro issues. When they take care of these patients, its like a one size fits all and they dont understand that my moms literally allergic to everything - from plastic to bandages to powders, they cant understand why shes got sores on her arms that wont heal, but they dont listen to me.
@@FoolyLivingplease see if you can speak to a patient advocate or social worker at the hospital and explain this. I've been thinking about your mother and family every day.
Make them listen, ask to speak to higher up. Do anything you can in your power because you're the only voice she has right now because she can't use her own.@@FoolyLiving
What are they using ,jevity? There are many tube feeding formulas hospitals have available. Ask to see the dietitian as that is who prescribes the tube feeding formula not the doctor. If she had a true allergy she would be having a harsh reaction after all this time. Usually the feed has nothing to do with breathing unless she was having an anaphylactic reaction
You have every right to feel all the feelings in the world right now....I'm so angry that the doctor's incompetence caused all this pain and damage to your mom and your family... Will keep on praying, and I hope you find a way through this in the end. Sending lots of love and positive energy your way... ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much. Like I said, everyone goes through this at some point in their life, they will lose their mom. It's just so difficult when you're going through it and you don't know what to do to make anything better. I appreciate it, any prayers directly for my mom
@FoolyLiving I know when I lost my grandma that raised me, it was like losing my mom... It took me a long time to recover from that, and I know how much you want to take the pain away and make her feel better... As long as she's fighting the only thing you can do is be there for her and pray. There's a lot of us praying I'm sure of it and please don't forget to take of you as well. In the end, all that we all have is faith. The rest is not up to us...
Sending my sincere prayers that your mom will continue to recover with god’s healing ❤️🩹 power 🙏. Andrea,I’m praying for God’s strength for you and your sweet family. God bless you…..🍃💗🍃
Oh my heart...YOUR heart, wtheck am I saying~ idk, what people say when they don't have proper words. There are none. Ever. Just read the description update, before listening to the video. Feel free to ignore this question, based on where you're at, but when you mention around the 4 min mark "first meh/ehh yesterday, different personalities/taking it the wrong way"~ that part. Was that simply a one-off encounter, or do you have any further thoughts there? Not looking to stir the pot in any way, just can't help but notice that encounter stuck w/you~ as well as other events and/or people who may have. In all the years I've listened to you process your experiences & decipher others' actions/ intent, I've found you to be extremely broad in scope...usually wise beyond the time or situation, imo. For that to stick w/you made me pause ~ It's concerning, all things considered. So I'm curious about specific interactions you've had, or are having. Aside from that, I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in your perspective as to the particulars in how the Heparin allergy was missed...or not tested for in advance, or looked for in the first few days (besides what you've shared already). We entrust our hearts, our loved ones to those who- yes, are human- yet also accountable to any given degree, any appropriate degree. Point being, I believe this is a blaring example of what so many have or will experience in their lives.*My mom had a brain aneuryism @53, I was 36. If at any point you feel like your experience could be of value, meaning you decide to share more, there's a good chance it would be~ of value I mean. I've not made a point of ever being super chatty in the comments over the years~ I guess that makes me a lurker, which makes sense I suppose. I'm retired now, but was in behavioral health/social services for over 30 yrs, so people & their people have always been my favorite study, so to speak. Even in grade school, I always knew I'd grow up to work w/people in specific capacity. I also knew by the time I was a young adult that it wouldn't be medical, for the same reasons you spoke of. My little kid brain was so focused on the injustices & the idea of change I could hardly stand it. Given my unstable, unsafe home life, I can see now it was a great way to distract myself & channel pain into something much more productive. Something I could help make better. Anyhow, human interaction- specifically, what we do or do not bring w/us to work or other settings is hugely overlooked imho. We're a fallible species, for sure, & I think there's a lot to be learned from exploring the how/why/what even when it's uncomfortable. Not w/the aim to debase or find fault, but to better understand & process...maybe even lessen the repeats, who knows right. Ok~ enough of my rambling, sending huge love ~ Samantha
It makes me so mad the incompetence of some people, I hardly ever comment but I do watch the videos. I feel so sad for your mom, she is such a strong lady and is fighting so hard, and now declining because of that huge mistake....My question is, Were the doctor told what is she allergic to? they usually ask.....If you had told them and they made that huge mistake, then you should consult with a lawyer. Sending many prayers in her name🙏🙏🙏🙏 ❤

@@FoolyLivingof course thinking about you everyday ❤

Praying for her, and you all to stay as strong as possible. Keep faith❤
So many prayers every.single.day. for mama and the family. ❤ Thoughts of peace and healing your way Andrea ❤
Bless her Lord Jesus. Prayers going up for grandma and you and your family.🙏❤
I hope that she gets better real soon! All the prayers and good thoughts are with you!! I noticed that Your hand is in the way ? Is that intentional?!
She will continually getting well
I'm so so sorry. Can you tell us how Mom is today? If Im following correctly its been nearly 3 months since this happened.
You’re the best daughter with a big heart. ❤&🙏
Yes, your mother is truly extraordinary ❤😷

Thinking and praying for you
It makes me so mad the incompetence of some people, I hardly ever comment but I do watch the videos.
