    Jessie Holley is a player that will be remembered for a long time, he was a long shot to make the team yet he made the team. Not only did he make the team but he helped the team win through pure effort and hard work. Jessie Holley is a man, Jessie Holley put all that he had on the line for the Dallas Cowboys.

    I live in Dallas and Jessie is occasionally on the local sports radio as a partial co-host. From the way he talks, you'd think he had a 20 year hall of fame career. But in reality, this catch was pretty much half his career stats.

    This is definitely the most underrated game in the Cowboys vs 49ers saga. This wasn’t just any 49ers team too, this was the Jim Harbaugh led 49ers, a team that would appear in the conference game 3/4 years he coached. Tony Romo also had a fractured rib in the second quarter then came back in the fourth which led us this moment here.

    Holley actually had a great attitude but was marginal in talent, he was used for a couple of years by Dallas as a special teamer because of his high motor play, but only got on the field as a WR due to injuries to other recievers. Unfortunately he won't be back as a Cowboy this year but he will always have this game to remember.

    Jesse Holley is underrated like shit. Why don't we put him out there more often and let some of our starting WRs rest for a play or two during regulation. He made some pretty wicked catches including the circus catch against the Titans in preseason in '09 and this clutch overtime catch and run setting up the game winning FG. btw I believe he hasn't dropped the single ball this season.

    You have to feel for Jesse Holley in this game. He wins a last chance spot on the team through that reality show Michael Irvin hosted, is basically "Mr. Irrelevant" for most of the season, then comes through with the biggest play of his life when opportunity finally knocked.

    I don't think so. I just watched another vid of Holley being extremely gracious/ thankful for the opportunity- thanks to Michael Irvin's 4th & 10 show. I think it's more that he might not be up to the same level as the competition in the tryouts in camp. Pats are giving him a chance to compete for a role right now. We'll see. I can't imagine him beating out Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney, Donte Stallworth and Deion Branch, let alone Wes Welker and rookie Jeremy Ebert.

  • @RedFoxAce
    @RedFoxAce 3 роки тому +1

    Great play, but Holley really shouldn't have reached out the ball like that at the end. That was so close to being a fumble-out-the-end-zone, touchback-for-San-Francisco situation.
