In this video, we take a closer look at the Attack Proflex 1 kick drum skin and demonstrate how it can enhance your drumming performance. As drummers ourselves, we understand the importance of having a reliable and responsive drum skin, and we were excited to test out the Proflex 1.
We start by discussing the key features of the skin, including its single-ply design, tone quality, and durability. Then, we demonstrate how the skin sounds in a variety of playing styles and musical contexts, so you can hear firsthand how it performs in action.
Throughout the video, we share our honest opinions and impressions of the Attack Proflex 1, as well as any tips or tricks we discovered along the way. By the end of the video, you'll have a solid understanding of how the Proflex 1 can enhance your drumming sound and performance.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, this video has something for everyone, so tune in, turn up, and get ready to rock with the Attack Proflex 1!
All the audio recorded in our videos is recorded direct into either an M-Audio Profire 2626 or a Behringer Ultragain Pro-8 interface direct into Logic Pro X mixed using stock plugins on a Mac Pro 3,1 (2007 model) running OSX 10.11.6.
Microphones do get changed up every so often but usually our drums are mic'd up with:
    Kicks - Shure Beta 52
    Snare - Shure SM57 / Lewitt MTP 440DM
    Toms - t.bone DC4000 kit
Overhead - Lewitt LCT 140 AIR
Room - Lewitt LCT 240 PRO

Very recordable sound - controlled, predictable, no smelly surprises.
My own preference is a more characterful kick sound, but in a mix, the Attack Proflex1 will get you there without a lot of anger, EQ, and needless flatulence.
