  • I was a year old when Frank Beckmann took over broadcasting duties for Michigan football, so he's the only radio voice I have known. His voice saying, "Touchdown Michigan!," will always bring a smile to me face.
This is every Beckmann play call I could find in my video collection.

Ufer was my childhood but Beckmann was the voice I'll remember when I think about Michigan football, along with Keith Jackson and Brandstatter. Thanks for the memories Frank and God Bless you as you make your final road trip. Say hi to Ufer for me.

As a MSU fan I always enjoyed Frank's voice. I remember listening to him while tailgating at MSU games or coming home from games. Frank Beckmann and Ernie Harwell bring back so many great memories over the years. RIP Frank. Your voice will always be remembered for UofM football.

Whoever takes over next season has some HUGE shoes to fill. Its nearly impossible to follow a legend sucessfully - Beckmann did that after Bob Ufer passed away. I can't imagine the pressure when following a legend who followed a legend...certainly an unenviable task.
