That's because Lee Pace is a human demigod...
I'd pay a hefty price to see a Thranduil TV series or movie/movie series. Like a trilogy about his father and the first war, him rebuilding his kingdom after, and the events covering the second war (bc other things were going down besides what the movies cover). But perfect casting, they made Thranduil everything I could hope for lol

Me too, and about his wife and little Legolas 🥹 and then showing their relationships deeper when he’s grown, and only with Lee Pace as Thranduil and Orlando Blum as Legolas
Lee Pace as Thranduil is literally the best casting for a role, ever done, in my opinion 💯 he OWNED that role, he took it to a higher level, and he made the character so ethereal and extraordinary.
Galadriel, Elrond, Saruman and Gandalf are among the best casted as well.
It still can't beat the 'dance off' scene at the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy 😆😅
I'd say it's an example of perfect casting. Probably wouldn't say "best....EVER!!!" That's a bit much
@@joenobody5913 I think you misunderstood me, I didn't say his acting performance was the best "ever" what I said is, I've never seen anyone be so fitting for their role as Lee was for the role as Thranduil, it was practically written FOR HIM, and that's what I meant with the best casting ever:)

Thranduil is without a doubt one of the eldest of the elves and one of their greatest kings amazing MMV the song was incredible with it
Thranduil was 808 years younger than Elrond who sailed at age 6,520. In real time Glorfindel was possibly born during the Years of the Trees, died in the first age 510 spent time in the halls of Mandos and was revisited in the second age. He and Galadriel are very close in age. The oldest Elf I've found is Cirdan the shipwright who was 11,000 years old. In terms of badassery I'm giving Thranduil a bit of a lead over Glorfindel!
He is one of the greatest Elves ever, but unlike most of the other named Elves, he wasn't born in the undying lands (I don't think so anyway) he has no gods in his bloodline (Elrond) and does not wield a ring of power, he's just badass.

If you really think about it… Thranduil is someone like a young God. Let me explain:
- He fought and lost his father in a Battle of Dagorlad. He also lost more than half of his army and he still managed to rebuilt his kingdom.
- He doesn’t have a power ring what means that he is not a lord. He is a true king which doesn’t protect his kingdom with some “super powers” 😎
- He is super talented when it comes to strategy and fighting. Like seriously. During the third age (I’m talking mainly about the War of the Ring) when elves were said to be weaker he actually won with Sauron in the Battle under the trees and protected his lands.
- We also can’t forget that he is a freaking handsome boss 👌🏻 - change my mind.
