Honestly Lexi is the Queen of swatches and colour comparisons. A lot of people (seemingly) can't even distinguish cool and warm tones properly from each other and give plenty of misinformation to unsuspecting viewers 😅 but Lexi truly excels describing each shade and giving us plenty visuals to compare. A lot of us I'd think can't see everything in stores and it's so so helpful to me to have Lexi to turn too ❤
Such pretty colors for spring summer. They are so pretty. I can see blush shades and even with a gloss. Yes lips ❤ I love how they make it so easy for looks and they way their color stories are
ESUM palette its like spring flowers...beautiful. 🌻💮 Loving the CHANEL rouge allure lipsticks especially 4:00 and 6:00 💄💄 Thank you Lexi for everything that you do here on your channel.
Hi Lexi! Thank you for another great set of swatches and comparisons of these new products, and also for your honest opinion of each, including the Rephr’s new synthetic brushes. I will go for the brushes - and use the eye brush for concealer. Chanel’s spring and Nuit Blanche collections are both LE so on the day they launched in Canada, on March 1, my local SA called me and told me that she had only received 5 of the Rivage eye quads and it was selling out fast - she could only reserve one for me for a few hours. I picked it up, along with other items of the collection including the Coral Treasure quad, the seashell laque, the blue eyeliner, the blue nail polish and shade 7 of the Nuit Blanche lipsticks. I passed on both highlighters because, after my SA applied a bit of the powder highlighter on one cheekbone and the mermaid glow balm on the other, I looked at myself next to a window, and all I could see was a lot of glitter 😢 !! I don’t understand why Chanel insists on launching such glittery highlighters - reviews are so negative. Though the mermaid glow balm did eventually sell out, as it is the more acceptable of the two, the lumière de l’ocean highlighter remains on the shelves - and is already appearing on Poshmark. In any case, I thank you again, especially for reviewing the new Rephr brushes.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you were able to get the Chanel collection. It's a beautiful launch imo. I wish they had more than 5 available - that is ridiculously too small of a stock supply. I would love to see less glittery highlighters from Chanel also. I was hoping they would listen to the feedback of pearly white but maybe next time!
Hi Lexi, this is the place to visit and stay for unbiased, high quality, detailed reviews. Although the luxury items you review are enticing and exciting, it's ultimately your opinion that I'm waiting to hear to make informed buying decisions. Thank you for all the hard work and research you put into your content. ❤️✨💯
I've just ordered the Rephr new brushes! 🤩 I can't wait to try them and I'm happy about this release (I use synthetic brushes only), I didn't expect it at all 😊 Super detailed and helpful video as usual 👏
I have been waiting to see your Esum #3 palette review. It looks like spring to me! I loved you eye look on the Guerlain blush video so much I looked to see what you used, and it was this! I knew this was going to be a buy for me. I love the first matte palette and use it a lot. They blend like a dream. Plus many of these look like they’d make great blushes! I’m so glad you think #2 shimmers go well with #3 because I have #2. (#4 is still on my wish list) The Chanel lipsticks are so pretty. I can’t even decide which I love the most, but I think it’s 6:00! No wonder! I love Velvet Muse and Velvet Blush and thanks to your excellent comparisons, they are close enough for me! You are the best!
Number 5 and 6 look much prettier than I thought 👀they gave a very different feel in 1 vs 2 layers to me.. Like going from day to night 🤔 I wonder could you blot these to get a more sheer look? Maybe add a bit of gloss in it.
I ordered the Rephr brush set a few days ago. Looking forward to receiving them, although I primarily prefer real hair brushes, except from some of the BK brushes that I love. Thinking the foundation brush might be good with serum foundations and blushes in tubes or other liquids. Always fun to get new products to play with! Thank you for a great review video 🙂
I slept on this launch but I knew I would want a few shades, especially since I saw flashes of the 05:00 shade online in passing. My lucky day that Saks still had that one and the 06:00, which are the ones I wanted. Thank you for the swatches.
Thank you for all your reviews, Lexi! I purchased the Rephr synthetic brushes and found the concealer brush too large for my undereye. I also found the bristles stiff and scratchy, so I'll save this brush for applying highlighter.
I'm crossing my fingers Esum is doing a sale again for Black Friday!!! So miffed I missed it 😢their palettes are so pretty and sensible put together!!! But really expensive to get in the UK... Like double the price almost 😒I'm so happy a brand finally brought out properly organised colour stories that really give you 3 of every undertone! I've never seen it done like this before and am always looking for it in new palettes. No filler shades, no repetition but also nothing missing and the concept is consistent through every palette. I hope the brand gets the recognition deserved 👏and I love the level of pigmentation! This is easy to work with even for fair skinned people and I've seen it working on deeper skin tones too. I'm jealous 😂😭
I'm keeping an eye out in case there is a spring sale or something. It seems like it would be a great time. They really keep coming out with amazing releases!
It’s because every company is trying to get our Black Friday money and they’re all making a lot of noise distracting us from our original plans. I write from experience.
Hi Lexi, I have samples of the Chanel rouge allure velvets from last spring and love the formula. I'm so excited as I've been invited to the pre launch of these lipsticks and their pop up on Friday in Edinburgh so hopefully get to try them on. I'm veering towards 01.00, 06.00 and maybe the warm brown though it looks quite dark. I'll let you know after how the event was if you're interested?!
I’m so excited for the new Chanel lipsticks-1 and 4 are the ones Ι picked up, but I am also leaning towards 00. I really like this formula and the luminous Comete collection from a few years ago had the same finish, I think, which I prefer over the permanent Rouge Allure formula as these limited ones have a slight pearl.
Lexi, love Esum palettes I’ve been collecting them since they came out along with the lip one. I really like the Spring look to this palette & your swatches are awesome! The Chanel lipsticks I’m trying to purchase a couple I really like all the shades. And I did end up purchasing the Rephr brushes couldn’t pass up 3 brushes for $36. It will be hard to beat natural hair brushes but I think there are some good synthetic brushes out there. Thank you for reviewing all these products and the best way to use these brushes. 😊🌺
By the way, the 04:00 is my favourite based on how it looks on you. What a masterpiece! I'm just trying to tone down how many lipsticks I buy in dark colours because I am on MS Teams most days, all day while working and I find that dark lip shades look exceedingly dramatic on me since I just have my regular lights on at home. I could invest in some lighting, but I don't want to stare into a bright glare all day.
I am surprised that the new Chanel lipsticks are so dark. Is that because they are supposed to be for the night? I got one and was a bit disappointed by how dark it was. I have to lighten it up with a lip pencil in a lighter color. It is the 6:00 one you have.
Hi Lexi was going to skip Chanel lipsticks, but ah tempted. But it looks like most colors are cool tone? I think only 2am is warm tone? What about 7 ? Thank you Lexi and have a blessed day🙏❤️
Yeah, they are nothing alike! I finally went today to a Chanel counter and swatched it... it must the most misleading bullet lipstick ever! I know you mentioned it but I was surprised of how warm 4 is. Now back to considerin getting the blue highlighter. Brun celeste is so versatile, not the best formula but so worth it.
Hi Lexi, I bought one lipstick from Chanel- 07 and love it.😍 I don’t like lipsticks with strong/dark colours and this one will be the one and only from this collection. Regarding the Rephr synthetic brushes is interesting you said they are incredibly soft because I watched Alicia Archer review and she said they are not soft at all (she said they are prickly) and she didn’t like them. I don’t have any Rephr brushes (natural hair or not) and no plan to buy. Thanks for sharing!🙂
7:00 looks beautiful and I'm glad you are enjoying it! I definitely prefer natural hair brushes over synthetics but I'm surprised to hear that Alicia's are prickly. My batch is definitely soft but if they are not densely filled and evenly distributed to the same height, I can see how things could feel prickly. I know Alicia has a strong preference for natural hair too and she has an amazing brush collection. For synthetics though, I still think these are a great option and a great intro price.
@@LexiJong I don’t know what to say. Maybe you should see her review. She is very good with reviews for brushes as you probably know. Hi Lexi, like I said, I’m only attracted to shade 7:00 and it was all sold out across all websites in North America. But last night, Fude Japan said they have just secured all 8 shades in this collection so I am willing to pay a shipping fee of $25 to get this sold out shade!! The Tom Ford highlighter in Rose is also sold out at Sephora and Holt so I also grabbed one that Fude Beauty still has, therefore reducing shipping cost per item, haha.
Thank you so much for your helpful swatches & review!! Lexi, do you have a strong preference between the Chanel Rouge Velvets & the newly reformulated Rouge Diors? I tried placing an order for one of the new Chanel Rouge Velvets (in the shade 7:00) but the order was canceled today as it apparently sold out :(. Would love to know if you would recommend a Rouge Dior or perhaps another brand for a similar feel? I like that the Chanel Rouge Velvets are slightly moisturizing and are more satin than fully matte. Thank you so much!
I actually really love the new Dior lipsticks and think they are a good replacement. They aren't quite the same texture but I think the quality is comparable and they are pretty close. They also have some excellent shades! Another option are the Givenchy silk lipsticks which are a satin matte but they seem more satin imo. They have a similar texture but the packaging can be problematic on some.
Thanks for this wonderful video!No.4 and 6 are a no brainer for me right from the start...but i can't decide between 3 and 5!?They look both gorgeous on you, maybe 5 looks a little bit more grown up,not that vibrant..although the vibrancy of 3 is magnificent 😅😅❤😊which one do you prefer? Thanks for helping me decide!xoxo, Steffi ❤

I don't think there are any dupes per se but the new Merit mattes have a similar texture (although they don't have the same luminosity). The Givenchy silk intense are a bit more satin than matte imo but also have that thin texture to them. The Givenchy deep velvets patted on the lips are similar because they have a bit of that luminosity.
@@LexiJong thanks so much for the detailed response. I tend to be super picky with lip products. A lot of them are scented and that really irritates my lips. I really love the finish and the wear of these Chanel lipsticks. I am just so sad they are limited edition :(.
Who wears bright deep pink eyeshadows? I don't see this at work, shopping, in restaurants... I can't imagine these yellow-orange eyesshadows in every day life either. Unless you're 11 or 12 years old and playing with makeup. I do think some are good as blushes or even dabbed on lips. These pink colors are everything I never used in my Viseart palettes.
I have a friend with a beautiful deeper complexion who wears these shades daily. They look beautiful on her and definitely more natural on her skintone than mine. I think maybe these will just appeal to different people.
That esum palette is goooooorgeous. Those oranges are made for blue eyes. Damniit. I just cleared out my eyeshadow palettes and now all these brands are launching incredibly pretty color stories 😭

Lol, at least now you have space! I'm working on rearranging things and decluttering too. It's not fun.
@@LexiJong hahaha no. It’s the worst. But it feels so good afterwards - like you’re done something truly remarkable 🤣
Lexi, you’re like the queen of luxury makeup to me - you’re always buying everything and trying everything first 😂 Have you tried Fara Homidi or Serge Lutens? I’m really curious about those two.
I have not tried them yet but they are both on my list!
@@LexiJong yay! Can’t wait to get your opinion on them.
