I totally agree with what you said about movies. each 1 brings a joyful memory back to me. especially watching animated or kids movies as an adult. totally different experience
Also love the video John. I do have some guilty pleasures. I know war of the worlds isn't a satisfactory entry from Speilberg, but the tension and action were incredible, even if the story ends up going nowhere.
Thanks for your take on the Invisible Man. I think you should give "The Entity" 1982 - Barbara Hershey. Shame no one talks about it, the best invisible stalker movie there is. Also on a side note about the Snyder cut movie if he needs 80 million more dollars to make that movie just a tiny bit better its not worth it.

yes i agree, the 3rd act of ghost protocol i can't remember largely due to the 2nd act being so good. That reminds me of Tarrantino saying that it's a testament to how great a movie true romance is, that it was able to survive the infamous Hopper and Walken scene and still have a memorable 3rd act. T2 and Aliens are also great examples of movies that have phenomenal 2nd acts and still never drop the ball throughout the remainder of the movie
25:15 Mostly when they mean when they say Sonic was the best video game movie ever made people are saying that it's the best performing grossing over 30 million worldwide Mortal Kombat never did those numbers at the box office. Just saying u should have at least mentioned those numbers btw
If you watch this directly after watching a 2015 Flick video his maturity as a person is very noticeable. He was always so amped up & excited back then, competed to how calm & relaxed he is now.,

I collect movies as well. I have mostly DVDs, but I try and score Blu-ray when they're cheap as often as possible. I don't actually watch any of my movies or open them, I just enjoy having a large collection to categorize on my shelves to look neat.
Love the flick pick always makes me feel better about who I am and what I'm doing in life and also this vids help me explain to my girlfriend why we buy movies watch them once and they jist sit on the shelf for another year or two we just love it! . Your the best John!
I remember every second of Ghost Protocol. I bought T2 on 4k, and returned it. I will never ever understand how it was James Cameron approved. Edit: SPOILERS FOR THE INVISIBLE MAN He clearly wanted her to find the phone. He texts HIS phone "SURPRISE" and then spooks the shit out of her.
I’m cheap so I only have 7 (E.T., Mission Impossible Fallout, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Avengers Endgame, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Rise of Skywalker and Halloween)

The office us version is on amazon video in the uk. I know cos I just watch all 9 seasons in about a month. A lot of filler and the first 3 seasons were awesome but overall great tv and a good ending.
The difference between this and regular Blu-ray is not as big of a deal as og boy ray to DVD. I got an ultra hd player for my Star Wars collection and will reserve this format only for “big” movies, no sense in having a small drama or comedy in the format I feel
Also agree wholeheartedly on Incredible Hulk. It did the character justice. As a huge fan I enjoy it. It's a mid-tier MCU movie imo and much better than what they've done with the character for the last 2 movies (gross).

How much did you pay for the 2001 4K?
@Adam Scognamillo probably about $24.99 when it first came out.
Great Collection
@Jordan Carpenter thanks!
Wtf insane collection!
Currently saving for a 4k player and starter off box set. Great video John!
I love your collection John, It's little bit magical and mystical! Don't just look at it, Eat it!!
😂
John this video made me punch the air like I experienced victory that’s the impact you have for people
These are among your best videos, always glad you share them!
I totally agree with what you said about movies. each 1 brings a joyful memory back to me. especially watching animated or kids movies as an adult. totally different experience
I found Private Ryan on 4K to be great, especially the Atmos. The Atmos sound makes the war sound like it's being fought in your room.
It’s great to see 4K quality and consistent uploads keep it up john
I can't wait for them to release Back to the Future trilogy on 4K!
The future is now, Robert.
This intro has gotta be one of the most hilarious, well realised, well edited, comedically timed intro on your channel, God bless
Awesome! I just watched your entire blue-ray collection yesterday ❤️
"My ass hurts" definitely not the first time you have said that
The bonus features on the ET set are a must for anyone who loves filmmaking and film history at all.

Awesome video. Could you do a video on your updated top 20 movies? Or even tweet them if you don’t feel like making a video
that’s the I hate everything theme song that you played during the montage
Johns arms go from human sized to Hulk sized and now back to human sized
my most watched 4K is "La La Land" I have watched it 15 times, it lifts me up.
yes i agree, the 3rd act of ghost protocol i can't remember largely due to the 2nd act being so good.
I am waiting for the movie Edge of tomorrow to get a 4K release
25:15 Mostly when they mean when they say Sonic was the best video game movie ever made people are saying that it's the best performing grossing over 30 million worldwide Mortal Kombat never did those numbers at the box office. Just saying u should have at least mentioned those numbers btw
Favorite 4K’s: Fury Road, Blade Runner 2049 and Alien 40th Anniversary Edition.
I grabbed some pizza instead of popcorn. Hope that's cool.
If you watch this directly after watching a 2015 Flick video his maturity as a person is very noticeable. He was always so amped up & excited back then, competed to how calm & relaxed he is now.,
Damn you Covid-19, you made John look so thin and slim. I want the bulky and hulky of the old John. Anyway good to see your collection of 4Ks!
Love your videos. You're one of the very few. Channel that can keep my attention for a video this long. Thanks buddy :)
A very impressive collection. I recently started getting into buying physical copies of movies, a few weeks ago I grabbed the Avengers 4K steelbook boxset
So relaxing watching John show us the movies in his collection 😂
John you should check out blade runner 1982 and 2049, visually stunning in 4k!

I would add 1917 and the Revenant to your collection. Also what do you think of "brawl in cell block 99"? This film looks good in 4k btw.
1917 is on the shelf in the back.
THANK YOU. I've always said that Ghost Protocol kind of falls apart after the second act.
Yes. Yes. This, this is what I needed in my life right now!
I collect movies as well. I have mostly DVDs, but I try and score Blu-ray when they're cheap as often as possible. I don't actually watch any of my movies or open them, I just enjoy having a large collection to categorize on my shelves to look neat.
I've just ordered some movies following your quick reviews. Thank you.
Skeletor - most underrated villain of all time, he was brutal and funny in the cartoons.
They need to make another He-Man movie.
Edit: SPOILERS FOR THE INVISIBLE MAN
He clearly wanted her to find the phone. He texts HIS phone "SURPRISE" and then spooks the shit out of her.
Thanks for so much content John :) easily the videos that I look forward to the most on UA-cam :)
I’m cheap so I only have 7 (E.T., Mission Impossible Fallout, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Avengers Endgame, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Rise of Skywalker and Halloween)
I only have two Hacksaw Ridge and Blade Runner
I have 1...Scary Stories to tell in the dark. It was a gift, dont judge me lol
I only have one. Halloween 2019, it was the only copy they had left.
loved "1917" in 4K.
😂 "too much Prince music and Vicky Vale" that is a typical John quote, hilarious
Had the same opinion as u on ET for the longest time but rewatched it recently and loved it more than I ever did.
John you should get a Letterboxd account
Ghost Protocol is actually in my top favorite MI movie(s) :D
It’s really good, but hes right about the ending lol
What's that 1917 display is it a poster or a collector's item
Honestly, /i was hesitant re-watching 'E.T.' after all these years. ended up crying like a baby. I believe you'll appreciate it more now
Hi! Was wondering what kind of devices you have for 4K, im interested myself. Currently have a 50 inch Vizio and an Xbox One S, not sure if thats good for 4K or not. Thanks!
65" LG OLED TV
I have a little over 400 4K Blu-rays. I should film my collection haha
What TV are you watching these on????
For someone who has never seen The Town, is it better to watch the theatrical or extended edition first?
I enjoy the theatrical cut. The other ending is wildly different.
The Flick Pick Thanks so much! You replying means a lot to me thank you!
The most satisfying thing is to scrub through the video back and forth and watch the stack of movies disappear and then reappear.

But I live in the UK and we don't have the office on Netflix..
Unless your talking about the UK version?
The office us version is on amazon video in the uk. I know cos I just watch all 9 seasons in about a month. A lot of filler and the first 3 seasons were awesome but overall great tv and a good ending.
First time watching. Enjoyed it. Thanks for your thoughts.
Hi John, I highly recommend the first Avengers movie and The Winter Soldier on 4K. They both look AMAZING! Love the video
The Town in your top 50...now I want a a top 50 favourites video!
The ATM telling bateman to feed it a stray cat is the best
The difference between this and regular Blu-ray is not as big of a deal as og boy ray to DVD. I got an ultra hd player for my Star Wars collection and will reserve this format only for “big” movies, no sense in having a small drama or comedy in the format I feel
Also agree wholeheartedly on Incredible Hulk. It did the character justice. As a huge fan I enjoy it. It's a mid-tier MCU movie imo and much better than what they've done with the character for the last 2 movies (gross).
No
@@masonwright7700 again, cool story
I actually liked the majority of these movies, I even bought dark fate on 4K
Don’t get sick now, guys
The world sucks but at least we have blu ray collection videos.
I always like watching your movie collection videos
Someone wanna make a list of all Johns movies shown in this video??? Lmfao
Black Hawk Down looks great in 4K, but for me, as of right now and what I own, Suspiria looks the best in 4K.
Weird , I was thinking about re watching the big labowski as you got the movie out
1:15 When you drop the soap.
That's deep John, movies are memories! I love it!
Yes!!! I've been waiting for this
Places John has lived in the last 10 years

Now he’s back in Fort Wayne
