My Last Entire DVD Collection Video Ever! I share my complete DVD film collection with reviews for the last time ever. Movie Collection 2020 with John Flickinger (The Flick Pick). - Розваги
Mom: Why are you crying?
Me: I'm watching The Flick Pick's final DVD collection video 😪😭
Thanks for the laugh pal
This may be weird but you should sell your dvds to your fans and sign them or something lol
That is a really great idea to support him.
Lmao “you should sign and give me your shit.”
@@avesatanasluciferian2398 for moneys :)
That's actually a cool idea.....
He should! He’d make a lot more money off them
I guess I'm super old-fashioned, but my movie collection consists of 95% DVDs and 5% Blu-Rays. DVD quality is still perfectly fine in my book. I'm very close to the 1000 mark which is really exciting. I love having physical copies of all movies that I like and I pray their manufacturing won't end anytime soon.
I used to watch these collection video while I did my homework, glad to see more of them! 😂
I like to think I played a part in furthering your education.
Totally did
r/technicallythetruth
@@theFLICKpick Awesome 👏 comment sir! 👍🏻
34:34 John becomes very emotional about the DVDs
DVDs are 480P. I got rid of 90% of my DVDs a couple of years ago. I pretty much just kept movies that were never released on blu-ray.
720 x 480p
I did the same
Some releases are too expensive to get on blu ray. Like the old Mysterious Island movie is like 60 bucks on blu ray.
Can confirm the above 720 x 480 resolution
I did not expect this
This gave me memories from like 4 years ago don't know why lol, good old days 😅
Thanks. Thanks for still being here, its oddly comforting and makes me feel like everything is the way it used to be.
I had many of these clipper cases like Mars Attack, IT, Goodfellas.
"You asked me if I was in the meth business or the money business? ... Neither ... I'm in the Blu-Ray business"
5:58 this man has a clipper case!
Me sitting over here with my collection of vintage VHS tapes 😁
Those I threw away already a decade ago.. I guess it's time to do the same for the DVDs.. **sigh**
@@ohc1492 if they still work donate them or give them to a friend. Or if you do throw them away please make sure you recycle 👍
I have lots of VHS Tapes!!!!
I wanna see how many DVDs our collections have/had in common:
1) Cinderella (1950)
2) Halloween (2007)
3) Friday 13th (2009)
4) Sleepy Hollow
5) Finding Nemo
6) Mulan: Don't ever under any circumstances watch 'Mulan 2'! It's atrocious.
7) Knocked Up
8) Sword in the Stone
9) It (1990)
10) Pretty Woman
11) Aristocats
12) The Land Before Time: Still makes me cry every time I watch it.
13) The Little Mermaid: A freaking masterpiece!
14) Mary Poppins
15) Twister
16) Nightmare Before Christmas
17) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003): I love that movie!
18) What's Eating Gilbert Grape
19) Aladdin: King of Thieves
20) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
21) "Another Harry Potter Movie"
22) Aladdin
23) The Mask
24) Liar Liar
25) From Hell
26) Adaptation
27) Green Mile
28) Dances With Wolves
29) There's Something About Mary
30) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
I still collect DVDs, so it was cool to hear you talk about your collection. Also, those impressions were really good.
I love DVDs.. still collect them and VHS if I find ones I want or dont have yet.
6:09 CLASSIC flickpick line. I started watching in 2012 and saw all those dvd and blu ray collection videos. Glad you haven’t changed much
I loved watching your old flick trip videos where you would go from store to store to find these movies. Great Videos. Highly enjoyable. Been subbed to you since pretty much the beginning. Good to see you're still making vids
LOVE UR VIDS JOHN KEEP MAKING THEM
Thank you John for this great gift.
That Goofy impression was actually pretty good
Yes
Well, thanks!
appreciate these videos man always fun to grab a snack and watch you go through your collection
32:50 that made my day idk why it just did. Thanks John ✌🏼
Been waiting for this for years
Over the top remake: Dwayne Johnson as Lincoln Hawks and a de aged Joe Pesci as Michael
Only if I can play the 14 year old son at age 33.....
The Flick Pick 😂
I used to be like you and only value my Blu Rays, but I developed a new found appreciation for DVDs. Sometimes there's just a nostalgic quality to them, and you don't need to watch the movie in HD. It depends on the movie, but it's almost like a less extreme version of appreciating VHS tapes.
Good to see you do a DVD collection vid. Very retro. I still collect the format myself (or did before Covid-19 anyway), having only upgraded to Blu ray last summer. DVD served us well. It was such a huge step forward from VHS.
Any collection video you make just instantly takes me to a happy place!
Sad to see these go . Your DVD collections (and any other collection you do) are so fun to watch!
I still keep most of my DVD's! I love your videos John!
Great collection John! You have more DVDs than I thought you would. It was nice seeing this collection one last time. This was like seeing the original Star Wars one last time on VHS. The end of an era.
Ahhh, the good ole days of John.
I'm at the gym now, trying not to catch the beer virus. I can't wait to sit down and watch this later.
Really great Vid John
I always see them called Snapper cases. The DVD is the only way to see the theatrical cut of Dumb and Dumber.
Man I totally forgot about The Indian in the Cupboard. Great movie, thanks for reminding me that it exists lol
I keep em in dvd binders. Streaming changes all the time, so a movie or series is available one day and then it’s not. I refuse to pay 4-5 bucks to rent a movie online, and it’s good to have physical dvds when the internet goes out.
"Why would you watch a Christmas movie in Summertime?" Well John, because we are weird people know as Australians.....
Same here in Argentina
I cleared out my DVD collection a while back. Kept a lot of the ones that just weren’t worth upgrading to Blu-Ray, but got some CD books to put them in to clear out the shelf space.
These videos make me want to watch my entire blu ray collection
This is like a history of the channel in a way! Definitely sell most and keep the rarer and sentimental ones :)
DVDs had a good run, great to see your old video in the intro! Magical and mystical collection!
They're 480p
I recently got rid of my dvd collection as well. Had around 400. Was pretty emotional I have to admit haha
Why collect to get rid of them? A high amount of the population already hates DVDs so why should the collectors who appreciate them fall into that category?
I turned mine into digital still have but space save 2000 plus movies on portable hard drives
How much did you get for them $200
That Dawn of the Dead (1978) DVD is probably worth a good bit of scratch, but I wouldn’t sell it
Love The video John stay motivated dream big 1 Mill on the way
I use to love this channel. I miss the personality. I lost interest in movies cause I had a kid but man I use to watch your videos all day. Glad to see your good
cool vid im starting to collect now
Good to see your new video glad you’re Back I love your videos
Thanks John
Rest in peace DVDs; this was a great video - love your content John - you never fail to be entertaining!
DVDs Deserve more Love!
Great Video
Bully is for sure a dark film. Also, my mom watches Christmas movies during the summer. LOL! Love your videos John!
John you're one of the greats 👏👏
I’ve watched River’s Edge. Probably the most realistic depiction of the 80’s you will ever see on film.
Jesus, 2012 was about when I discovered your channel. Time flies.
Bill and teds excellent adventure is out on bluray, here in Australia they released it in an old VHS box, it came with postcards, a t-shirt transfer and a mini poster :) so cool
All the best for your move John! :)
Can you imagine if there is an emp that wipes all blu Ray's n john gets rid of all his DVDs....rip
Today I learned John doesn't know the resolution of DVDs.
Guess he's thinking about upscaled DVDs
720 x 480p is the technical specifications
@@theFLICKpick I know but usually that would be referred to as 480p. 720p would be 1280x720.
19:27 This is how I felt when my best friend showed me The Last Samurai, a movie he loves.
90% of my collection are blu rays
10% of my other collection are DVD's
I do miss the days when DVD's were revolutionary and owning 1 DVD for like £20 - £25 brand new was considered by many to be a luxury. Nowadays in 2020 they're like old items that everyone throws away like old clothes. I do own some DVD's that are like special collectors edition with the beautiful artwork. Some other DVD's are older movies that I grew up with like the Matrix movies. The DVD's are still available in many charity shops that I visit once a while to see if anything special is there. Shockingly enough I don't own any 4K Movies as of right now. They're just soo extremely overpriced, I just don't want to waste a lot of money when the Blu-rays still have great quality picture.
You have your own Blockbuster
I like when he does impressions
I’m not gonna lie John, Every video your impressions get better and better
Fun fact about the movie Shocker, I remembered the movie because of you and Stuckmann talked about it on a Halloween video special. It triggered the memory of final TV fight. Hey I saw you on TV!!! I was may be 6 or 7 yo at the time my parents were watching it. And Today you mention the movie in your DVD collection
The man. The myth. The legend. Magical and mystical collection, my dude. Ive finally almost replaced all my dvds with Blus at this point. All that I care to anyway.
I still own all of my DVDs. I've started upgrading to Blu Rays in recent years and I only get 4Ks if there is a store exclusive that I like, such as a Best Buy steelbook or Target exclusive. I'm not a 4K fan. I just want the movie and the bonus features. The DVD and BR quality is good for me.
This video reminds me of the older videos of John😂
I still love DVD and watches DVD every week
When you see Clerks 2 in 8th grade the Donkey scene is the funniest thing imaginable
I still keep my DVD's because I love DVD's, especially their original releases that I prefer (which were released long time ago back in the 2000's decade). 😌
Keep us updated what you do with them! That’d be a cool video
Only people who primarily love (and collect) mainstream movies will eventually kick their dvd's to the curb.
Man the Mark Wahlberg impression is getting better every time dude !
Another great vid ! You have some great classics in there ! A mans dvd / blu ray collection can never go wrong with a majority 1980’s slapstick John Candy films in there !
Keep the vids coming John 👍🏽💪🏼
I never thought of the ending of radio flyer like that until you mention it. 😔😔😔😢
Alright. Just what I need to watch while I eat my lunch.
planes, trains and automobiles is my favorite John Candy movie
Some fun stuff here, John. Keep the DVDs you love and that you won't upgrade to Blu-ray/4K. For example, Explorers - classic kids movie and there is no blu-ray anywhere in the world. I have a six year old now (though I didn't when I first started watching your channel!) and have shown it to him multiple times, along with Flight of the Navigator, Short Circuit, Goonies etc. That's why you keep those editions.
The only DVDs I've kept are either old school collector's editions, and movies that don't have a blu ray release (The Village, Be Kind Rewind, Homicide etc.)
Can't Buy Me Love, Some Kind of Wonderful, and Trading Places are all awesome films, which I own on DVD; I mainly collect Blu-Ray now and have pared down my DVDs and upgraded due to space considerations, but I keep films that aren't currently available on Blu-Ray yet. I also own digital film too, and while I still prefer physical medium will opt for digital sometimes due as mentioned above to space. Can't Buy Me Love definitely doesn't get enough appreciation.
Both the Bill and Ted films are on bluray. There is a standard edition for the first film and a special collectors editoon for both films in a mini box set from shout factory.
anyone else notice on the cover of the DVD "election" it says "pick flick" it tripped me out lmao
11:30 okay John, yeah, they play A Christmas Story every year, but when I watched it, the network cut out everything. The network cut out the part where he actually gets the gun, the part where he shoots his eye out, and the Chinese Diner scene.
Also… 16:39 I love Sling Blade. One of my favorites.
John: He called the $*** poop!
Me: Wow. This is going to make me miss these collection videos
I would love to go on a roadtrip with you and you do all the talking, no one can accuse you of being boring. Love your descriptions and your impersonations.
I have a clipper case of Zeus and Roxanne (Dolphin movie). I used to have a VHS of that too.
Got my popcorn, a cold drink (3 ice cubes no more, no less), and my sour patch kids. Oh I'm ready John 💪😎
🦵
I picked up the bill and ted bluray in the walmart bargain bin last week
Both Bill and Ted movies are on Blu-ray, you can get them in a two pack
Both Bill and Ted movies are on Blu ray for 9.96 at your local Walmart, both on 1 disc. Transfers look nice and audio is good too!
I love Twins with Arnold. I never worked at a cubicle but I can relate like most people hating there jobs in Office Space.
Goodbye DVDs. Thanks for the memories.
RE your Superman collection - "I sort of secretly enjoy the Richard Pryor one."
As do I, John. You're the first other person I've encountered on the Internet willing to admit to liking that one.
What I like to do with all my DVD's that I end up upgrading to blu rays is I take the DVD disks out and put them under the blu ray disks, so that if I want to lend the film to someone they can watch it on either format incase they don't have a blu ray player.
I miss seeing the dvds
It’s funny how he said no one talks about airheads then doesn’t say anything about airheads. Love this channel
bicentennial man one of my fav movies of all time
