Genji is an ancient Japanese hero, most people know him from The Tales of Genji. For some reason, FF likes to portray Gilgamesh as a Benkai equivalent (Benkai was Genji's loyal companion, a monk who like taking weapons from those he beat) even though Gilgamesh is also a Sumarian hero in his own story called Epic of Gilgamesh.
Hmm at the end he mentioned warriors of light could he be xiv's gilgamesh? Then again he's made appearances in a large number of final fantasy games, not sure if any refer to the main cast as warriors of light.
Gilgamesh is like Ganondorf. Every version of him is the same guy. You still played as "Warriors of Light" in FF5, so he's still, to this day, is looking to fight Bartz and settle the score
"warriors of light" include pretty much every protagonist group in these games, hell he could be talking dissidia That said, I'd like to think he's heading to the Lifespring Grotto since that was one of the earlier appearances of his dimension hopping AND starred the original group of WoL
Gilgamesh, the Squarenix Deadpool.
One of my favorite bosses
1/3 Deadpool
1/3 Don Quixote
1/3 Samurai
does cait sith not get mog in this game?
did gilgamesh make an reference of power rangers????... even though he more funny
never a Gilgamesh moment in FF series without that reference.
He always says that, even back in FF5!
"It's Morphin Time" is also his iconic phrase
0:31 who is this guy?

@@Signedcentaur Not every version.
Literally every single Gilgamesh is the Dimension traveling one from FF5 so he's referring to Bartz
@@SwobyJ you have a point... only one isn't the same guy and it's the FF15 Gilgamesh
Found you Greg
so...is this the same gilgamesh from dissidia?
The only few gilgamesh we can say aren't him, is 15, 9, and type-0. Oh and 11
He's probably different, the arms are mechanical and not a part of his body. That, or he developed the ones he's normally seen with later
@@ashemabahumat4173It's possible that his appearance does change depending on the universe.
