I'm so so glad Sadhguru talked about the Japanese people. In India, we love the eat all you want, buffet, unlimited meals sort of stuff. The way we eat our food at home and outside directly relates to why so many of us put on weight soon after we turn 30. We don't measure the food we eat. But if you look at the Japanese, they eat a lot of different things in a meal but they eat small portions of it. They ensure this by serving each item in a small bowl, so the bowl becomes their measurement. If you ever happen to walk around Japanese streets, you'll seldom find an overweight person. Even their elderly look really fit. Whereas in India, we eat on a plate and we eat everything the plate can hold and as many times as our stomach can hold. This should change immediately. Otherwise India will become the most obese and unhealthy country in the world.
We also used to show same level of gratitude and sensitivity, reason why we built and shaped artwork of finesse like Indian Temple Marvels. The Japanese still into it are able to produce a Honda and Toyota. We need to get back to that same old 'Gratitude Levels for a Cultural Industrial Revolution like in past.'
Thanks guruji, for highlighting Japanese culture. I m always in awe of their respect for others, nature, etc. The most patient people. We have a lot to learn from them.
Try reading history of how they conquer and ruled Malaysia, and other countries..you will love the Americans and Israelis who made them what they are..bow truly..
Swamyji they eat raw fish.. isn't it cannibalism swamy? And they love torchering their victims in prison by forcing them to eat shit and drink pee/man urines??they bow down to food? during the war they starve their female prisoners and give them bit food in exchange for hard ,dirty sex..and named their business as comfort girls...and till now those ladies suffer the mental pain swamyji....
I am just sharing my little incident from the day before yesterday. I did breakfast at around 8 am.. My mother was asking me to have lunch at around 11 am, but I refused to eat as I wasn't hungry.. but at around 2 pm I was hungry , so I had have my lunch. It was just the same items that I eat everyday.. but when I was eating, I almost kinda cried .. I enjoyed it so much .. I don't entirely know why did I cry.. but may be, because I felt the real hunger and was grateful to have the food. Just sharing.... Namaskaram. #SaveSoil
Japanese people exhibit gratitude, discipline and plenty of positive characteristics in many other areas too. It is no wonder why their country has reached such heights despite all odds and challenges continually posed on them.
I've always said for many years that rather than try and be like the West, India needs to be like Japan. Respect for environment, respect for cleanliness, respect for food, respect for neighbors/community, respect for quietness etc. Japan is the model society.
Great lesson we should teach this to our children 🙏 that's why Japanese are no 1 in technology today. They know the value of life and live it like that.
Namaskaram Sadhguru gi ❤️❤️❤️ I do respect as you said the gratitude of a Japanese person bends down while taking his food but in my opinion I feel personally when I take food in my plate and when I sit down and join hands towards the food before I begin and when I finish eating my food I again join my hands towards the empty plate gives me more happiness and sense of respect to food and the ultimate provider.
It has been always in bharath. We always used to say a prayer and bow down to food before we started eating the food. We have lost it to great extent but we can revive it.
The Japanese have somehow continued to retain and practice their age old culture and tradition, despite the country having advanced so much technologically. Whereas in India, we've all but forgotten our roots and have given it up to look cool and hip.
Food is from the Creator and must be appreciate and not waste. We should praise what God has provided and be content what we can consume and not endulged ourselves. Blessings 🙏 be at peace ➕
Great immense respect, culture and gratitude towards life food we eat.... Great Japanese culture... I bow 🙇♂️ down to this Japanese culture with my two hands folded.🙏🙏
We in our family, b4 eating we bow down showing gratitude, remember God name or gurus name. Then eat. Also, when food is served, we take a little water in hand and make a circle with it, where the food plate is kept, now the food plate is under the circle. Also, put some food on the floor at the side of the plate, we offer it to...After doing all these then we eat. These are total science, not superstitions.
My grandmother's 93 years old, she sits east side to eat or drink, Join hands and pray for few secs before eating She even prays to the water or any drink 😆 and she washs her feet once shes done eating.
Indians have been doing this since inception. Hum sabse pehle thali ko namaskar karte hai aur thali ke charo taraf paani chadate he phir khana start karte hai. Par hum Indians ko foreign ka authentication required rehta hai!!!
When it comes to food and water Japanese are very particular that they avoid negative vibrations. They carry their own water bottles and avoid receiving anything from anyone. Everyone should give a thought to this and follow the Japanese
After long I really liked this video, from Satguru. Thanks for explaining so nicely and truly. I totally agree and will act the way he said. Thanks again
Simple thing... Just go back see your own Root....we do have the same culture....great gratitude and reverence to the Food...all things. .which assisting in our life.
Japanese have many traits worthy of emulation. A great civilization and sanskriti built on dharma. We also have elaborate way of respecting food. Parishechana before a meal is one such. Sadly, many english medium convent types have no idea of our ways.

In Hinduism we pranam our food, put the first bite as gou-gras, then the second bite we also take to our forehead as pranam then we eat it and that's not even the only tradition we use as thanking the divine for giving us life essense in terms of food. I don't know what this guru is trying to say.

Just approach quietly. Quietly listen, quietly speak, quietly pick up, quietly eat, quietly hold hands. This is gratitude. This is reverence.
