I was last in the War Eagle mine in 1981. You could get through the mountain at that time. The lower levels were sketchy but in comparison to your videos it was in much better shape then. There use to be a few houses out side of the mine. Are they still there. Stay safe!
Those areas that your calling a natural cavern is actually stope work from the miners. They would stope up from the lower levels and every now and again they would end up punching into the drift that was above them. Stay safe out there
☺❤☺👍👍👍👍👍👍 You are AMAZING! You just hum dee dum walk into & thru the bowels of the earth. Thank You i have ALWAYS wanted to do that, now i feel like i have. ❤☺❤Best Wishes ✌
Fun explore . I've been in there quite a few times , that entire mountain is honeycombed with Drifts & Stopes . If you get the right passageway you can actually come out on the other side of the mountain right near a large Ore Bin . -- < Doc , Miner for over 50 years > .
I love testing new equipment in this mine. On one of the explores we were trying to get into that tunnel, but it had collapsed. I do know of another one and we are going to be trying that one here in a couple of weeks.
I have watched quite a few of these mine exploration videos--this mine was one of the best-built I've seen so far. Its huge, extensive and very well constructed--I suspect lots of valuable ore came out. Very interesting. almost no graffiti in this mine. Maybe the boss said no.
Thanks so much for your work keep up good work I enjoy your show I wish I could join you explore mine buy I work on a farm in Deming new Mexico I use to have a mineing clam in AZ
Some caves allowed me to hear mine work, rail usage, and where miners probably stuck a face in for a peek. We shared cold water issues and bad of high explosives.
A cool look at the lower levels of this mine, did you ever find out what made the boom ??, could it have been miners in a nearby mine blasting ??. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
That's a pretty extensive mine looks like they took a lot of material out of there. I bet the tailings are big also. The natural caverns is awesome. Loved the stills at the end.
I marveled at your high intensity lights. i tried to imagine what kind of lights those miners had, obviously there were electricity strung down there. But tried to imagine the “older tungsten lighting” used. 🤔🤔🤔 Awesome, Awesome Tour. (i would have turned around after level one😂😂😧)
One of my favorite's to explore before I head into the Nopah. Been 3 years since I been there but might add it to list to visit on my next Mojave trip in 2 weeks. Maybe. Not sure if i'm gonna go to DVNP let alone far Northeast to Tecopa. Might hang low and relax down in the brunt land around Rands/Garlock
I would suggest when coming upon an artifact, such as the shirt at 7:59, pick it up and show us. The thousands of feet of tunnels is interesting, but the few old artifacts are most interesting. Some help to date the mine. I really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing them.
I don't like picking up things like that. It is a crap shoot if it stay in one piece when handled. I will in the future stay on the time a little long.
@@DesertTrailsExplored good heavens man--its a rag! if it crumbles was any "history" lost? Are future explorers gonna be deprived of the beauty of that rag?
I have great respect for people that can go underground and work. As a kid I explored many old mines that I should not have been in, I thought I was indestructible I guess, I found out the hard way I wasn't. I don't think there are any working underground mines left in this area, they have all gone open pit.
I don't know how you don't get lost, and I'd be scared inside there, mines always collapsed! I'd prefer to take a friend too, I'm not really fond of the dark.
This doesn't look anything like The Long Dark LOL (survival game where mines are often transition areas from one map to another) Seriously though, cool video!
Have you ever considered putting a blower fan up top and sealing it so the good air doesn't escape prior to going into these mines? The reason I say that, you sounded like you were gasping for air after you were in the lower levels. Just be careful.
The materials that they didn't want to take out of the mind and put into those back fills wasn't because they didn't want to move it because obviously you had to move it from where you were digging it was so they didn't have to spend all that time moving it out the full length of the tunnel
Just a handy dandy FYI ....Come to find out the entire mine complex is completely on private property and it is WAY MORE than strictly enforced .... DO NOT TRESPASS...
How long has it not been active? I wonder what determines the choice of stopping further operation? I mean because you never really know whats around the corner in continued blasting or drilling ??
"Ore" is just the name for the media that carries the commodity such as Iron ore carries Iron, gold ore carries gold and a lot of time copper as well and so on...
Right hand rule is a good one to live by when you are a a greenie. Once you doing it long enough...then it becomes pictoria and memoryl. What starts to get confusing sometimes is descending/ascending levels via manways, declines, etc...then not using the right hand rule to end back up at a station, manway, etc...especially when you got alot on your mind from whats inside
@@LolPepperGate thanks for your reply. a good friend of mine explores caves and old mined in New York State and a few here in New Jersey. He's had some weird experiences inside those caves you can't explain it it won't tell me what they were!
It was a different kind of American or whomever worked these mines, real men, incredible.
@Alexej Svirid And what do ya get ? Another day older and deeper in debt.
So cool
This was a very interesting mine. Really nice job videoing it. Thank you so very much
Please visit a Glory Hole where workers load train gondolas underground.

Great job, cool place lots of interesting artifacts, thanks
Really like your content and interesting commentary, learn something new in each explore. THANKS!!!

Great adventures and you do a great production many thanks for that , but you really should have someone reliable and handy with you, best wish's.
Maybe carry a shovel
thank you! You do a wonderful job. You take your time and don't move around too quickly so you get a really good feeling of where you're at.
You are so welcome!
you really should have others with you.. thanks for sharing
Wow I’m glad you didn’t get lost in there but it was fun thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed. It is easy to get lost. The whole mountain is a maze.
I'll just watch your videos, I'd be too afraid and could not imagine working there 8 or more hours a day! Coolio.
Much better lighting this time, thanks 👍
That was an interesting explore! Worthy of a subscription. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the sub!
Brave man. Like the ones who actually worked the mine back in the day.
If you do it for awhile the fear factor recedes.
That video was awesome I really enjoyed it thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

I'm new to your channel, your photos are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more.

Gotta admire the guys that got that pipe down there and hung it! Doesn’t go around corners you know!
I would never have the daring to do what you're doing, but luckily I don't have to as I get to experience it through your videos.
One of my favorite places.
I know. Both of us spend a lot of time in those tunnels.

This mine has many miles of tunnels
The materials that they didn't want to take out of the mind and put into those back fills wasn't because they didn't want to move it because obviously you had to move it from where you were digging it was so they didn't have to spend all that time moving it out the full length of the tunnel

Any idea of the depth of the mine? Maybe I missed it, what ore were they mining?
What were they looking for in these mines,?
That flathead ford v8 needs rescued!
Were the carpenters miners as well?
Silvver gold or Torquoise or copper mine?
Did you ever find out what the boom was?
What you keep on calling a natural cavity is a Stope. That's where they took all the material out and leaving a big cavity it's called a Stope
I was say this also. Glad you got to it first.
The wood support is really enough to prevent a cave-in? It looks like a super shady area to be in, but the workmanship also looks top notch.
Tecopa silver mines
Please tell me how you keep from getting lost?
You better have 100 flashlights with a lots of batteries.
@14;35 that is a pump housing.
Be careful of bad air.
Have you ever found gold?
Are these gold mines or just ore mines?
"Ore" is just the name for the media that carries the commodity such as Iron ore carries Iron, gold ore carries gold and a lot of time copper as well and so on...
I think Duke means what kind of ore was it?
At 11:10 he says that a lot of ore was taken. Iron, gold, and more
Where are you at if you can say
Read the comments.
I would piss in my pants every minute if I was there
15:00 , I'M running low on oxygen...lmao.
How do you stop from getting lost?
I have a very good memory.

Indiana jones tracks
you need to stop going to these places alone==its dangerous to go to these places alone==plus=peoples is been going missing alot to
Put in some work and find you a nugget 😉
Where is this mine?
It is outside of Tecopa.
Too many cuts.
Skipping too much.
