- In this video, we show you the beautiful environment where Eagle Ridge Survival School teaches our courses. Dorlindon is a nature reserve in the Wicklow mountains, a place of stunning natural beauty where the deer, foxes, badgers and all other fauna ramble free. If you would like to come to a course please book through

We also cover my favourite knife in this video, the LT Wright Genesis, in my thinking the apex knife in the realm of Bushcraft. If you want to look at their range of knives, here is the link and tell them we sent you. Thank you guys!

Thank you for the continued support!
I'm starting to enjoy and like the bps knives that Genesis looks great ,definitely a grail knife for me. God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 😄 🙏. Lee
@@leemichel8199 and to you Lee.
Did not realise that there had been so much time between his last video and this one. I wouldn’t mind tilting a couple of pints with this man. Gain a little wisdom. The scenery is fantastic. Nice looking knife. Good to see you back. Hope everything is OK with you. Cheers from the Southeast U. S.
Maybe someday we will get the chance to have a few beers. Thanks for dropping by bud
Great video!! I got to meet LT last year at a event and handle one of the Gen models. I was very impressed with both LT and his blades.
Great to see you back on
Thanks so much bud
Fantastic video buddy, the production value in this one has shot up. Looking forward to getting down to see you.
@@stevemcdermott6199 and you are always very welcome bud
The in between affordable knife in full tang would be a Mora Garberg. Proven knife for the perfect price.
@@cocovasquez1 yes I totally agree with that
Oh man you have amazing woods over there🙂 your favorite of all time? That is high praise! I have had one. My favorite LT knife is the kamrat and the only LT I own at the moment. My most favorite knife to use is the mora 106 sloyd🙂 definitely need other tools with it though
Hard to beat an old Mora
Thank you so much, I hope you are well ?
Why not the 01 version?
Hi the Genesis isn’t made in o1, it used to be available in Aebl stainless but is no longer available in that steel.
@@eagleridge1972 From what I saw they have the same design only slightly bigger (6.25" I think) from both 01 as well 02.
To be honest with you I find it hard to understand A2. The information online is entirely contradicting from source to source.
Some places say it's not as good as 01 while others say it's better.
Also, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Skookum Bush Tool, made by Rod Garcia, based on Mors Kochanski's design?
Rod is offering his knife in V3 as well which from what I can gather is better than A2.
Cheers.
Very nice country there. Have you worked with your Gossman Polaris at all? I'd be interested to see how you compare it to your favorites.
Ah thanks, I must root out the Gossman Polaris, it’s a great knife too
What are your thoughts are on the Skookum Bush Tool, made by Rod Garcia, based on Mors Kochanski's design?
Rod is offering his knife in V3 as well which from what I can gather is better than A2
It’s a knife based on attributes that Mors Kochanski considered to be necessary in a Survival knife design. If Mors Kochanski couldn’t design a brilliant knife, there would be little hope for the rest of us mere mortals. I been on the list for nearly a decade for Rod Garcia Skookum, so I can’t really comment on the knife. I have versions of that knife made by Rob Evans and it is a superb knife and I also have a James Andal Canadian Forest Knife, James based his design on the Mors Kochanski criteria too and that is a superb knife.
Can you share the name of the band in the song that was playing just after the intro
Not sure I just searched royalty free Viking music in UA-cam
@eagleridge1972 If you come across a link, or channel/video name, or anything like that, please share it. As always, thanks for the excellent content.
