Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a video game that was released in Japan on September 12, 2003 for the GameCube, and on November 11, 2004 for the PlayStation 2.
Know tha feeling bro, im 28 and i played this game when it came out (my father bought by coincidence the day it came out for me, the seller told him it was educational), until this day i haven't forget all the time i spent on this game and of course its OST.
One of the most underrated GameCube games of all time...... the relaxing nature of Harvest Moon helped me get thru some stressful times during my childhood.

Hyypia yeah, I’m from Mexico. But still, when I was that young I didn’t even knew how to read in Spanish, this game taught me how to read in kindergarten. My relatives used to help me before to understand what was going on but they didn’t had a lot of time to help me, so I stepped up and learned to read myself with the game. I knew some English because of my school, still this game helped me a lot to improve my English.
I still have the original copy I bought 13 years ago and I still play it. One of my all time favourite games . The first time one of my cows died I actually bawled my eyes out and had to stop playing for a while... this game is so realistic and it always tugs on my heart strings. I love how the scenery gradually changes within each season. Having the snow light on the ground on the first day of winter, fairly thick in the middle of winter and by the last day all the snows ,elated and your pasture is green again .
Oh man, that was me too. I was about 9-10, and my first cow got ill and died. Shit was heartbreaking and borderline traumatic lol. I wept and sobbed and was devastated. It was like my first real loss - hadn’t had any proper pets, none of my relatives had passed away then either, and wouldn’t for many more years. Great game, and listening to the music now really brings back those nostalgic feelings and memories!
I had my first cow die as a kid too because I didn't know how to feed them or when they got sick I didn't know how to give them medicine. I don't remember exactly, but yeah it sucked. I think my baby cow died later on and IDK why it did. I went back in time,(just closed the game and went back to my last save) got the only bottle of medicine I had, and gave it to the baby. I saved it and it grew up ❤️ I didn't have anymore problems after that.

Fuck man... I can relate to this so much 😭. I miss playing this game with my lil bro back when we were in elementary school. I remember we have this book of guides so we don't miss a single event or gift you can get in the game. Now I have work as a programmer and my brother is still in highschool, while our good old broken ps2 is in our cousin's house (we gave it to our nephew back in 2012 since we don't play with it anymore). Time do flies really fast. What I wouldn't give to be able go back in time to the good old days ☹️

"Summer Memories", I think it's called (or something like it) at 49:00 brings back hilarious (summer) memories of my sister and I playing this and dumping her toddler somewhere and pretending he was lost while he waddled home. We "looked" for him everywhere in the rain with this music playing and just thought it was the funniest thing ever. We'd be terrible parents.
I loved the game. My favorite game of all time just based on pure nostalgia. I grew up playing this with my sister too. I remember playing the PS2 one (crap lighting) and getting scared and lost when it got too dark so I would shut off the PS2 haha. When I got to understand the game more, I fell in love with it. I remember naming the farm animals silly things, watching my sister (younger than me) absolutely fail her animals, I would laugh at her because her farm basically had nothing on it, I watched her cow die on her too lol. I remember theorizing about what happened when our characters died... we would abandon our children too, close to bedtime, and laugh as the wife got worried. The creators did a great job of making the game feel alive. I have read enough and played enough to feel like I know the game like the back of my hand. I don't think I want them to make a remaster of the game because I know it could never be as good.
When I was like 3-4 years old I used to play this with my grandma back when she was alive. I'm 16 now. I know this game was one of her favorites, aside from animal crossing, warios woods, and Dr. Mario.

Yeah I was about 6-7 playing this and it took me forever to figure out how to grow crops and sustain it but I learned after about a couple of weeks playing nonstop.
This is the game that introduced me to this wonderful series !! I remember being so happy and excited playing it on my ps2, and I was so sad when it didn't work anymore. So when I was about 11 I discovered emulators and I played Harvest Moon 64 and More friends of Mineral Town non-stop. Literally so grateful for those moments of my childhood :')
This was my first harvest moon part when i was like 13. It's such an important part of my childhood. I am so gratefull to live this in real life kinda. With my own house and garden ❤ and soon some chicken, still trying my best to convince my bf!
This was the thing that inspired me to get a farm. Honestly best decision I ever made. I love my chickens! They have such amazing personalities. Our turkeys are especially fun because they follow you everywhere lol.

One day my bf and I (who also grew up in the city) both had a stardew valley moment. 😂 Sold everything we owned and bought a farm. Now we have pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, and rabbits. We're on track for all our produce coming from our own land this year!

My grandparents had a huge farm with a forest, orchard, crops, horses, chicken, cows, a dog and a cat next to a small village. They sold it when they were too old to take care of it. It kind of makes no sense now I'm about to graduate as a Data scientist...but since this game it's been me and my brother's lifelong dream to buy back their farm and relive all our childhood memories.
I played this with my brothers growing up and we made a little pact in which we couldn't marry the same girl, and we all wanted Nami. My older brother to her first lol I ended up with Muffy, and my little brother got Celia. I miss playing games like that growing up lol
I remember in the game getting Hay out of the box was a bitch! I always sold my first cow for money, then I'd buy upgraded tools, plant trees, then the rest of the time, I'd set up shop and sell all the garbage I would collect and sell only Hay. After the day was through, I'd go to the bar and drink my sorrows away.

I remember in the game getting Hay out of the box was a bitch! I always sold my first cow for money, then I'd buy upgraded tools, plant trees, then the rest of the time, I'd set up shop and sell all the garbage I would collect and sell only Hay. After the day was through, I'd go to the bar and drink my sorrows away.
I like to listen to this while I go about my day, haha.
I Learned to ace every English test through this game and now i’m a fully pledged college students T_T
