It depends on each bird. Of my five only one, MacGyver, refuses the gps. He will destroy them. He also is very reliable and always returns. So I have to trust him. The others all accept them. When we fly from home I don’t put the gps on the older birds. They are great navigators and have always found their way home. Even from super long flights. I always put gps on Piper. There have been numerous occasions where it has made the difference with a quick and easy recovery when he has traveled too far. If you can afford gps and your birds will tolerate them I always suggest using it. Best of luck and happy and safe flying. ❤
