- Currently the only one of its kind in the heart of Castlefield on Bridgewater Canal. This 12.6, 60ft long widebeam weighing in at 30tons just happens to belong to my brother and his partner and was also built by them. I travelled south to stay with them for the weekend and boy was it fun!

Lines so beautiful it could’ve been designed by Porsche. Except the stern. That was designed by Lego. Looks aside, she’s going to cost a fortune to maintain.

Absolutely stunning. Please do a detailed walkthrough and explanation, for example why the very pointy bow which reduces internal volume, what engines, etc.
This is about 85% to 90% of what I would want in a modernized-design widebeam canal boat! I love the enclosed cockpit most especially. If the blueprints ever become available to purchase, I'd love to buy a copy just to study as a way of tweaking my own wants into the basic layout of this boat. I'm bookmarking this page for future reference. Thank you, and thank your brother for me too!

If you look at the ariel view of garstang marina on Google maps you can see this boat sat outside the warehouse it was built in.
This a Collingwood Boat Builders boat so was built in Liverpool I believe. If you look on Google street maps, a similar shell is outside their factory (though not this actual one I was told).

@@ElliottParkinson I’m having a boat built by collingwood and they were talking to me about it. I think they did all the shell - it may have had a fit out at Garstang.

@@elliottmitchell6214 wow thanks man! I appreciate the complement! It was shot with a Cinewoop drone. 'The squirt v2' to be precise. It is essentially a racing drone that has been modified to create videos like that in a safe manner. It carries a go pro to achieve the HD footage. Boating life seems awesome and maybe it's something I'll consider as I age 😁 if you plan to buy a boat outright keep in touch as my brother has a great insight into the narrow boat world
@@johnnyMortonShow thanks for the info, credit where credits due since i started looking into canal boats several weeks ago ive seen a few drone shots done by vloggers who are crusing the canals, but yours was the first and only one that actually made me switch focus from the subject to the actual video technic so Kudos.

@@johnnyMortonShow thats not what i said. it would just be nice to actually see the boat and have someone talking about the details, fitout, spec etc. whilst the recording is flashy, it doesnt actually help with detail.
The beautiful boat and the creatively shot video are both a thing of beauty. I get fed up with people rabbiting on about cupboard space and all the detail. Well done to the designers and the camera guy. I enjoyed this 'teaser' ❤
