This game, and especially the soundtrack, do NOT receive enough renown and respect. Loop Hero is a literal masterpiece tied together by the most expressive, fitting, and epic retro-style soundtrack probably in any game to date. Like I literally could not imagine music more fitting for the exact thing going on in the game. You're a musical genius.
Yeah... Exagerating much ? Half the songs almost sound the same. In the end they're just satured MIDI sounds with some melody. Which or nice but calm your tits.
The story was a little half baked and the ending diologue was a huge letdown on repeat attempts, and there needed to be alot more interactions. Still the music was insanely good, and the game was indeed solid.
Determination, tiredness, giving all of yourself to the fight, futility and hopelessness, but still fighting till the end, no matter how bitter it could turn out. Just my impressions while listening to this track. Pretty charged one for me
I swear everytime I listen to one of loop hero's soundtracks I almost tear up, I think your work is one of few I ever saw the creator's very soul put in, I knew just from the trailer music this game would be awesome, and you gave this game what other games can't dream of having, the most expressive soundtracks I've probably ever listened and will ever listen. I don't know what I wouldn't give to be as good as you, I myself compose small piano pieces, your pieces always get me back on composing some more. Your pieces a literal masterpiece and I am really filled with sorrow knowing people would snob these soundtracks and the game itself. And no, I don't regret passing 10 minutes of my life writing this comment.
The greatest strength retro-games have with their music is that the composers realize there’s no room for screwing around. Too many modern OSTs are all, “Oh, we’ll just slather on all this luxurious instrumentation and that’ll cover up the fact that all our music is empty, forgettable, ambient nothingness.” Congratulations, you’ve wrote the score for “Frodo waits in line at the DMV.” You have orchestras and philharmonics and you made fantasy elevator music with it. Waste. Of. Sound. The games of yesteryear knew they had limited sound fonts, and they had to squeeze every single drop of kickassery out of each bleep and bloop. That’s why if you’re going to replicate that style of game, you need to hand in work at this level. Mr. Goreslavets made a soundtrack worthy of Capcom in its early golden age, and he deserves every scrap of credit a feat like that entails.

Раньше подобная музыка попадалась просто ритмичная, качала и всё, но почему-то в этих остах для луп хиро чувствуется столько эмоций, передаёт атмосферу эпичности, трагичности, героизма, битвы, открытия неизвестного и ещё целой кучи эмоций, по нескольку в каждом треке. Очень необычные ощущения по итогу.

when you summon the portal at the start of the loop and get to enjoy all that build up became one of my favorite boss themes wish he'd get harder the more times you beat him, too bad he becomes as much of a pushover as the other bosses in the super late game really needs a harder new game+ mode so I can actually feel scared again when that music hits
For how long does the late game continue for? Isn’t there a limit where you can no longer upgrade buildings and stuff? Or do you not need much to beat the last boss?
@@speedweednfeed6721 once you beat the final boss it only gets easier since there's no difficulty increase whatsoever at that point while you keep upgrading your camp, so you just keep gaining more benefits from supply and camp to a ridiculous amount while there's nothing to shake up your go-to-strategy which simply gets boring after a while sure there's a limit on mud huts you can build but there's no reason to max out absolutely everything
i always spawn the portals right after passing camp for this very reason. Plus who knows, maybe i'll get lucky with a drop and have more of a chance :)
Something about the opening riff is familiar, but I suspect that's mostly just the nature of the tools. This track (and every other track tbh) is stellar and the second I have the money I'm definitely buying the soundtrack.
Request for the original creator of this song - I don't know if you could make a perfect looping version of this for youtube? I've looped this for quite a while and my only gripe is how jarring this track's endpoint is from the start. Obviously, in the game, this is done with track clipping. If it bothered me enough I could do it myself, but I'd rather let all the loops bump your view count if it's something you'd be down for. I know the music for this game is popular enough that "extended" versions of the highest view tracks would probably also do good. I'm not sure at what point though it becomes worth the time versus the potential revenue associated with youtube views. Either way, thanks for the great soundtrack!

И почему ЭТО не тема боссфайта? Она более подходит, тут тебе и напряжение от боя и ЭПИЧНОСТЬ и ощущение того что это уже финал. Мне кажется темы прихода порталов и темы боссов всего лишь надо поменять местами. У тем боссов больше ощущение того что босс именно пришёл, так как они более загадочны и когда босс приходит (в первый раз) игрок как раз спрашивает босса: что ТЫ такое и как тебя убивать? А когда доходишь например до Омеги мне кажется надо подрубить именно эпичный ост (на данный момент ост его появления)
Я думаю что как есть так и лучше. Лучше что она играет всю петлю. С каждой стычкой с монстрами на пути к Омеге ты приближаешься к нему. Тут ощущение финальности, неизбежности боя, того как ты идёшь навстречу судьбе - к битве, которую решить исход всего мира.

I love how high-pitched the boss tracks can get. It evokes a farcical apocalypse, a vibe that's not so common in media.
