Right so let's get to it. The Akrapovic exhaust was ordered from a factory order and came fitted on my 2023 R1250R BMW. Some key bullet points below regarding this video.
-Always do you own research on things like this and make your own decision as to if to do this or not. There are many other sources of information out there.
-If in doubt, it may be worth speaking to a professional mechanic or a BMW dealer.
-I'm not 100% sure on where you stand with warrantee on either the bike or the exhaust if you do this.
-Personally I felt no difference in performance however this is a link that takes you to the akrapovic website where it shows there is a slight difference. Follow the link then click on performance graph.

    - When drilling the carbon be very careful. I did not put hardly any pressure on the drill... I let the drill do the work and drilled at a slow to slow/medium speed.
    - I started doing this job with the mindset that I was prepared for it to go wrong. At the end of the day it's a very expensive bit of kit and you have to mindful that changing or doing an
thing like this may cause issues, excess strain on the motor, warrantee issues among other things.
    - Finally, It sounds tremendous! I love it and the baffles will be staying out. I hope the video helps you make your choice if to do this or not and sorry about all the disclaimers.
Disclaimer - All videos are for mainly entertainment purposes. Although sometimes I may share my opinion or advice it is not to be relied upon. Hello, thanks for the video but I'm also questioning on why don't you only remove the rivets to avoid damaging the carbon ? According to your pictures at the beginning of your video, you have removed it.. Wouldn't it have been easier to remove it instead of drilling it ?

Nice video mate. Did you replaced the whole exhaust, the full system (exhaust and header pipes)? Or did you just do the slip on exhaust?
    TIA

Why don't you only remove rivets to remove the carbon piece instead of drilling it ?
We can see that you took some picture when it was off at the beginning of your video.
Wouldn't it have been easier to remove the carbon piece before drilling it or don't drill it at all ?

WTF is everyone aversion to drilling out rivets ? At least my muffler doesn't have ugly looking rubber bungs in the end cap.

How does a rivet gun work? Once you drill them out how do you put them back in?
