No problem! I think it can be a great addition. We will have more info on how we build some sort of curtain and do finishing trim. Since its clear we will add some sort of black out curtain.
@@MillerGarage if I put one in mine I would go with a reflectix cutout and put fabric over it to make it look nice, then make some kind of sliding track and attach a small handle
We are planning to put a skylight in our '74 Overlander for star gazing. Curious if the view out of the skylight is distorted due to the curved nature of the skylight?
Thanks! There is a tinted version of this skylight but we opted for the clear so we would be able to see out of it well at night to see stars. The night sky was a big reason we wanted to put it in. We are going to have a "black out" pull curtain of some sort in the opening during direct hot sun.
Let us know what you think about the new Skylight!
Nice touch, You make it looks so easy! Thanks for giving me ideas.....
Just curious where you got that custom skylight! And how much it was to have it custom made??! Thanks!
I wish you would have shown actually each step cuz I have no idea what you're talking about after you put the wood frame in
sorry about that. It's hard to film and work at the same time. Perhaps we will add a custom Skylight course to www.airstreamu.com
Hi Ian! I noticed the skylight in your shell lift video! Looks really nice. I am considering this for mine thanks for sharing!

Nice job Ian and Lauren! Now I want one, but I have Vista windows so they'll have to do. Looking forward to the next video....steady on my friends!
Thanks! I think if we had vista windows we probably wouldnt have put this in. Both are great to have!
Awesome channel - really good detail too- would you tint the skylight ?
