Very cool. Would be brill to have a docu series about the behind the scenes of the airport like Frankfurt airport has on the German/Hessian TV channel HR, which is very interesting and has lots of fans watching in awe on how this massive micro-cosmos is operating
I like Dublin airport. I have found staff roaming that have been really helpful. However, I have a 'but' and, for me, it's a biggie. I am partially-sighted. Once I go through the security checks I cannot read the overhead signs that tell you what the Gate number is. Years ago, I discovered that Gates were no longer announced and ended up being the last remaining passenger (very embarrassing). If I wait for the Gate number to come up before going through to Departures and then ask the roaming staff for help, I would have a bit of a race on my hands so I go through with (hopefully!) time to spare as it is usually a long walk. In recent years, on two separate occasions, another passenger and a member of staff told me my Gate number - both were wrong and that was frightening. The same thing happens at Dublin train stations; the information boards are high and in red (my worst colour to read) but I've learned the train times by heart and staff are usually helpful, especially if I use why white cane.
Dang, I'm glad I didnt have to go through this, ofcourse, it is quite a struggle, especially how long it takes to get to gates (terminal 1), atleast you have em straight escalators.
Lovely video. It is actually my backup dream job to work as a person in operations, just hard to get information on how to step my foot into it! And yes, in Dublin Airport.
Coming back for another visit to Ireland in 2019 into Dublin and would love to tell Myles Reilly hello from an American Reilly. Long live the Reilly's. In 2015 we had the awesome pleasure of staying a few days in County Cavan and standing before the castle in Lough Outer. Be safe, Myles. Stay warm and dry. Merry Christmas.
I have to say I do love Dublin Airport there is something special about it, you can feel excitement and expectation in the air as you approach and enter the terminals. I am sad to say our local airport Bfs has lost its charm and feels very provincial, its just a landing strip for easyJet.
IT makes me and the kids Happy when debarking because IT means we can Pisa the gardai and passport off but also we are home again for 6 months, chill time has begin again
I already wondered why the KLM 747 came to Dublin. It was a medical emergency, probable on rout to somewhere on the other side of the ocean, or it was on the way back to Amsterdam. Nice video.
Hello DAA, who can I speak with about getting a Hiring Manager to review my CV and suitability for a position. I’m passionate about working in an aviation environment and would consider any upskilling requirements Thanks
LightningofFlames Beast yep,we always fly into Dublin, best airport and service ever, especially with 6 kids with me of which one special needs, the only shyt is the looks u get from certain people who think they own the place

Hi check out our careers website for all available opportunities here www.daa.ie/careers/job-vacancies/
There’s no zig zag markings on that inter stand clearway so you had no business moving them

It's usually very busy, it always closes on Christmas day
Enjoying
I live in Ireland in Dublin
lots of stakeholders
Pity you don't see Boeing 747s on a regular basis in Shannon or Dublin
Shannon serves regular every 2 days I think at 8:00 or 6:00.
kalitta air 747 are common
Yeah the new runaway needs to be built in order for the airport to able to take 747 and airbuses regularly with worry
I operate two 747-400s out of Shannon in Airline Manager 2 😂 😂 😂 😂
Why does the narrator sound like Karen Gillan
