Personally, I find the way you wrap your soaps very visually appealing. I know you say you're not good at designing labels, but it really does look like you put a lot of effort into your presentation. From the soap stamps, ink stamps, labels and packaging it looks lovely. I've started making my own soap and you've helped me think about some plastic free options. Thank you for sharing, helpful and gracious as always! 😊
@@EllenRuthSoap Dear Ellen, I'm trying to join the soap manufacturing business, Bur i get stuck on the packaging. But you have teach me allot. You are a super hero's. Thanks
Just the video I was looking for! Thank you! I’m a beginner soap maker and I just found your channel, I’ve binge watched your videos for about 2 days now! Love love love all your content!
When i started the video my son stood beside me. And when you sayed "hello" he answered "hello soapmaker" (he didnt understand your name) 🤣. So hello from odin 😁
Thank you. These look brilliant. Thank you for recommending Online Label Design. They are brilliant. Just remember if you order the clear gloss or waterproof labels, you need to adjust your paper type setting on your printer otherwise the ink will come off. 😊
Very well done video. Enjoyed watching.Your labels are very nice. I find simply done labels look great and don't break the label bank.👍 Cheers & Blessings👍💕
Speaking as a soap maker of 12 years and slowing down, I LOVE your videos. How I wish you would have been around in my early years. I’m sure others are benefiting from all your shared know. Love your JOY!
I chose this video for the content, and I was not disappointed. But I found myself wanting to know about everything in your workshop behind you. This was an amazing and very detailed master class on wrapping. Love it.
Oh Ellen! These are beautiful! I wanted to order some of the sea type soaps, but your site is being worked on. Any idea of when it will be back up? I neeeeeed!😂
Hey Ellen, I’ve been studying soaping and skin care for the last year and a few months and your channel is like my one stop shop. Wanted to say thank you truly for all of your content because it has been very helpful! Bless your channel, your hands , and your business!💚
These are all so beautiful!! I have wrapped mine in shrink wrap, but did not do it your way--- your way is SO much more efficient! I also do paper cigar bands. Haven't quite decided which I like best. But your brown labels are ON POINT! Simple Elegance! I totally love it! Thanks for so many tips and so much help!
Hi Ellen! Thanks for sharing. Love you're packaging, I think they look great. Pls could send a link or email to where you made both your soap and packaging stamps? Thanks in advance.
I really like the bakery paper idea. Would you mind if I used it for me soap selling? Also, how do you add a wt. as I think soap continues to shrink as it cures?
Loved watching your process! Will your website be back up and running soon? I’m almost finished with my last bar and prefer your soap over anyone else’s. 😊 Thank you for all that you do!
Dear Ellen, you under estimate the perfection of your soap wrapping, truly! Your presentation standard is quality, professional, and beautifully simple and accessible. And who doesn’t like that all natural look of kraft brown paper & sticker little packages? I stress about labelling myself, and seriously need to move on from hand written sticker labelling. Not even got my old printer going yet, or can decide which laser printer to replace it with. Yep, am a bit daunted about label designing and getting organised with the right shapes & sizes of water proof sheets of printing paper needed, etc. I can relate to you on the challenge of it. And knowing that for some people this is easy, and may think, ‘uhh, what’s the difficulty here?’ When I watch your soap wrapping ideas and your previous round lotion bar coffee filter ones too, I feel encouraged to just go do it, just go make my own, and fully finishing of the job of presenting great soap bar for others. It’s still part of the creative process after all.
@Consciousness I have been getting reasonable results using Avery labels with the print myself option. I design them, then download the pdf and send it to fedex or ups printing store. I bring them my label sheets and they print it for me. The thing to look out for is that the skill levels in those stores vary greatly. Took me a while to find the good skilled and patient staff.
Thank you Ellen... this was so helpful and not for a single second i felt like you are challenged in designing your labels or packing the soaps.. you ARE SO GOOD❣️ Keep on Rocking 🥰
Hi I'm newbie on soap n just finished my first melt and pour yesterday and have serandwrap coving them now, I went to purchase some protection at Hobbie lobby n they didn't have anything so until I receive some online I picked up some clear wrapping plastic bags will that be ok until I receive some online? Thanks for your time. 😊
Beautiful wrapping and labels Ellen😊I love your natural aesthetic, I really think it'd beautiful. I use to wrap mine similar to your paper version with a very similar wax paper and I just love the way it looks. I switched after that to shrink wrap which I hated (changed only because the weather ruined my paper ones) so then I changed again to compostable totally biodegradable corn starch based shrink wrap with a kraft cigar band I designed and I'm finally 100% happy. It can take a while to find the style you like most that holds with your values and brand and one that is also practical😍😄
I’m drawn to your “super simple” labels and would choose yours over any fancy label out there because I prefer items where the maker allows their product to be the main focus. I also prefer the look of kraft paper cuz it lends itself to a more clean and streamlined look. It presents as more “earth friendly” too. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for sharing your methods.
So I did not read the comments so I am going to ask that when you use the heat gun to shrink the wrapping paper it does not melt the soap bar? So I don’t know much about soap I just started doing research on it because I’m more of a candle craft person but I am still working on launching my business but I want to start learning about soap making.
CP soap doesn't melt like MP soap. But when I'm shrink wrapping I don't hold the heat in one spot too long, just keep it moving and everything is fine.
I absolutely love your labels and how you package things. It’s simple, but very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. I’m just starting out, and I’m so tech challenged, that I’m just clueless 😅

I thought they had to be open to air versus melt and pour soap that has to be wrapped. Thanks in advance for your advice :)
