you realize manhattan isn’t the only borough. In Brooklyn you could get a 2 bedroom space for around 600 bucks more per month. But in Philly you could get a huge space like 3 bedroom probably for 2.3k. Boston well uh good luck prob same price for something like this.

@@DNA13 Nope. I live in a city just outside DC, with four dogs over 100lbs each. All is well. It's much better for dogs to have companionship and lots of outdoor exercise than to rot away in a big house on their own most of the time, with barely any exercise. I know a couple of people who travel full-time in RVs with pets, and that's a tight fit, but their dogs are fit and very chill, because they get plenty of exercise and aren't bored to death.
The pricing is ridiculous but I'm impressed by how they managed to fit so much stuff in so little space like an actual kitchen and the bathroom looked better than I thought.

In my part of the city you can get a 2 bedroom apartment with modern appliances and great connections to the subway and express busses for the same price of this apartment. And no... I don't live in the ghetto. I live in one of the few quiet parts of Manhattan. I'm sure that rent in your city centers are high compared to local incomes.

I’m from Germany and I had a pretty similar apartment when I was a student. Difference was: I paid 400 euros per month. American housing prices are something else man.
All dependant on where you are. Cities do have very high paying jobs, and a fantastic variety of things to do. But 2,300 covers my house payment for 4 months, and that comes with 260 acres and some of the cleanest air from 17000 acres of state forest around me.
This is NYC price. You go to other cities in US (Chicago, Dallas, etc) and you will see much cheaper price similar to Germany. NYC and SF are notorious for being some of the most expensive real estate in the world… and it’s largely due to high demand (lots of high paying jobs) and terrible local government regulations.
You could rent a 3 story, 3 bedroom house, with a backyard. This is crazy. Edit: idk why everyone is saying "not in NY" obviously lol. That was the point. Ijs, Where I'm from you could get more for $2300. But if you live in the heart of any major city, you will be paying a pretty penny.

The power goes out for a few weeks after a solar flare or some other kind of disaster and that tiny little apartment that costs a fortune becomes your tomb of you're not careful. Not to mention if supply lines are interrupted. Feeding that many people in such a small space without massive daily shipments is impossible. Now imagine the other situation but everybody is starving instead and they're looking for rats and pigeons or pets to eat.

Minimum wage in NY its $15 right now and is very high compared to many other states but remember that in NY there's so many conveniences: transportation, Grocery stores and Deli everywhere, parks, playgrounds, etc... you don't need a car unlike other places/states where people dont even have a bus stop near. If you add how much a person pay in a year or 2 for these crazy small NY apartments. They can literally just put a down-payment for a house near NY and just travel for an hour back and forth. My brother loves it and has an amazing house and many successful(teachers, therapist, nurses) people actually do that...

My parents rent out a duplex for 1,500 a month. It has 2 stories, 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a game room, a storage room, all appliances came with it, a big backyard with a porch and fire pit, and a 1 car garage. Mans are getting ROBBED in new York.

I like how the space was creatively used. The only thing I would change is that huge bed taking up so much space. This unit screams for a Murphy bed. Then there would be more walking/living area. And you could take advantage of the space and view by the window. But I don't think this space is worth more than $1300 and that's being generous.
My 5.5 acre wisconsin hobby farm on the woods with 1/3 acre pond with barn, potting shed, ranch house with 3b, 2 bath, kitchen, family, dining and living is $1800/month.

Reminds me of a Loft Apartment I looked at locally only it was short any form of kitchen or kitchen appliances only this Studio was a bit of an upgrade from what I toured.
For NYC, this is very nice compared to others that have been shown for close to the same monthly payment. The length is fantastic - better than a square box floor plan where there is no place to walk. The high ceilings and long kitchen are very nice, and the bathroom is large. Without walls, there is nice visual separation between rooms.

I rent out a home in an upscale neighborhood in Ohio and for $1,700 a month the renter gets 3 floor levels with a living room with fireplace, dining room, huge kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2 full and 2 half baths, full finished basement with bar and fireplace, 2 car garage, 2nd story deck that runs the length of the house with 4 sets of French doors off of it and creek running through the backyard. An apartment like this wouldn't even cost you $700 a month. That price tag is insane.
My guess is 2100.00 per month, making this guess the first 10 seconds. After watching the entire video I see the rent is 2300.00, I am only 200.00 off. I have never lived in NY but have spent my entire life in the Bay Area, Silicon Valley to be exact so I am well aware of what the price of housing costs in these cites.

Funny thing was that I was like, "That's a nice little place there. I think I wouldn't mind living there... And then he hit me with the price tag. Fuck that. I rather sleep in my car. I got some ideas about converting the backseats and trunk into a makeshift bed area. There is a planet fitness nearby that I can shower at, plenty of nice, modern and CLEAN laundry mats around here. Food will be a little bit of an issue since no fridge to store meats and stuff, but I sure I can just change my diet to get around that issue.

I pay about $1200 for my property and home I own, utilities, cell phones, insurances, credit cards, AND my car note...... And I walk outside to a beautiful lake view..... Can't imagine paying that for a closet..... Wow
... I'm not saying I would pay $2300/mo to live here. But, when I drove trucks over the road, I was really impressed with how efficient, comfortable and homie a seasoned trucker could make out of his sleeper cab. And, a lot of truckers have pets to keep them company over the road. So, 300sqft is definitely doable. But, I don't personally know anyone that would pay that much to live in such a small space.
I have a sweet 30’ camper that is 300’ Sqft with my 2 slides. I paid cash for it 3 years ago. My lot rent is $400/mo. I’ve saved every dollar of difference from my old condo that was $1400/mo. $2300 for 300sqft is completely insane. 2 more years and I’ll have enough $ for a 5 acre spread and a cabin in beautiful Montana.

This kind of apartments will be found in downtown Manhattan but in the Bronx or Brooklyn something like this will go for about $1,200 lol
Minimum wage in NY its $15 right now and is very high compared to many other states but remember that in NY there's so many conveniences: transportation, Grocery stores and Deli everywhere, parks, playgrounds, etc... you don't need a car unlike other places/states where people dont even have a bus stop near. If you add how much a person pay in a year or 2 for these crazy small NY apartments. They can literally just put a down-payment for a house near NY and just travel for an hour back and forth. My brother loves it and has an amazing house and many successful(teachers, therapist, nurses) people actually do that...

My parents rent out a duplex for 1,500 a month. It has 2 stories, 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a game room, a storage room, all appliances came with it, a big backyard with a porch and fire pit, and a 1 car garage. Mans are getting ROBBED in new York.

I like how the space was creatively used. The only thing I would change is that huge bed taking up so much space. This unit screams for a Murphy bed. Then there would be more walking/living area. And you could take advantage of the space and view by the window. But I don't think this space is worth more than $1300 and that's being generous.
My 5.5 acre wisconsin hobby farm on the woods with 1/3 acre pond with barn, potting shed, ranch house with 3b, 2 bath, kitchen, family, dining and living is $1800/month.

Reminds me of a Loft Apartment I looked at locally only it was short any form of kitchen or kitchen appliances only this Studio was a bit of an upgrade from what I toured.
For NYC, this is very nice compared to others that have been shown for close to the same monthly payment. The length is fantastic - better than a square box floor plan where there is no place to walk. The high ceilings and long kitchen are very nice, and the bathroom is large. Without walls, there is nice visual separation between rooms.
I’m glad I live in Kansas. That’s the price to rent a 5 bedroom house, built in the 2000s.

I rent out a home in an upscale neighborhood in Ohio and for $1,700 a month the renter gets 3 floor levels with a living room with fireplace, dining room, huge kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2 full and 2 half baths, full finished basement with bar and fireplace, 2 car garage, 2nd story deck that runs the length of the house with 4 sets of French doors off of it and creek running through the backyard. An apartment like this wouldn't even cost you $700 a month. That price tag is insane.

It looks cozy to me but how it’s basically one long hallway is nerve racking.
Funny thing was that I was like, "That's a nice little place there. I think I wouldn't mind living there... And then he hit me with the price tag. Fuck that. I rather sleep in my car. I got some ideas about converting the backseats and trunk into a makeshift bed area. There is a planet fitness nearby that I can shower at, plenty of nice, modern and CLEAN laundry mats around here. Food will be a little bit of an issue since no fridge to store meats and stuff, but I sure I can just change my diet to get around that issue.

... I'm not saying I would pay $2300/mo to live here. But, when I drove trucks over the road, I was really impressed with how efficient, comfortable and homie a seasoned trucker could make out of his sleeper cab. And, a lot of truckers have pets to keep them company over the road. So, 300sqft is definitely doable. But, I don't personally know anyone that would pay that much to live in such a small space.

Sqft with my 2 slides. I paid cash for it 3 years ago. My lot rent is $400/mo. I’ve saved every dollar of difference from my old condo that was $1400/mo. $2300 for 300sqft is completely insane. 2 more years and I’ll have enough $ for a 5 acre spread and a cabin in beautiful Montana.
