Fun fact: on the Modello 1915 and 1917, when the slide locks back only to slam forward again when you take out the mag, isn’t an animation error. It actually does that in real life!
Overall really good, but I would like to make 2 critiques:
1. There's no Gasser M1870, Dreyse M1907, or Spanish Ona. Now to be fair, idk if this video was made before the Grappa update, and if it was then I apologize.
2. You switched the M88/90 and M90 carbine. The gun at 13:33 is the M90 carbine, while the one at 13:48 is the M88/90. No big deal, they look pretty similar (the M90 still used the old quadrant sights and lacked a handguard).
Personally, I love this game, can't wait for the next guns to be added!
And also Mannlicher M1886 is not in this game and it uses the same cartridge as the Werndl. If the Werndl is here then why isn't the M1886 here?
@resonancebarracuda478 that's a completely different issue though. I described problems with his video, you're talking about a gun that's never been in the game. Take it up with the devs
fantastic recoil animation yet reload is kinda wack
Been following the series since Verdun. The studio’s always had an issue with the super smooth animation seen in AAA games.
Still a fantastic and criminally underrated series.
Honestly they have improved since the last two games and are for the most part accurate to the handling of the weapon. Totally something I can overlook.
the reason we see many german weapon in the game because historical Austria-Hungary and German are allies .
The reason you see many german weapons is that you play as a German faction on some maps. German army directly intervened in the Caporetto offensive, so you play as them on related maps.
Even though ppl might complain that animations aren’t good, I’d say that they ain’t horrible at least. I like some of them.
i find the animations pretty decent for an indie game honestly, no need to compare it to Verdun 😂

I love how crude the sights on the VP are. It’s like the designer said “this thing shoots a cloud of bullets, point it in the general direction and you’ll probably hit something”

It's bit shame that the guns don't have much hearable echo.
Now im no expert but tilting a revolver upwerds towards your face to recock the hammer doesnt seem like a good idea
Different times :P, pointing a gun at the sky used to be considered safe.
It's not so much tipping it at his face as it is just tipping it up.

I don't care about the reload animations.
But i cared about experience and gameplay.
Those reload animations are not bad for games made by a very small number of indie devs.

Yeah BF1 is just an arcade shooter with a WW1 skin pack pretty much.
Yeah. Don't get me wrong, BF1 influenced the youth to finally acknowledge history, but it completely fails to capture the combat experience of WW1 before 1916-1918 combined arms. Verdun, Tannenberg, and this game does it way better and deserves more attention.
They make fire and idle animation good but the reload is not that good

Verdun has an M1897 shotgun if that's what you want.
as a guy who plays this game i can say 3 things.
number 1 call ins are just BAD they have nerfed them into the ground so bad compared to previous games.
number 2 the weapon unlock challenges are hell on earth due to most of them dealing with call ins.
number 3 most classes *besides officer* have very little content thats not copy pasted from other classes with the lame excuse of them being *captured weapons* officer has double the unlocks compared to everyone else.
That DoF effect is awful
worst effect in this game is how the guns snap backwards when you fire them due to the absurd amount of recoil it makes most weapons unusable lmao
Pretty sure this guy is using a ReShade filter, the DOF doesn't even apply to physical terrain during gameplay

For real. Jacks up the model proportions pretty badly. Some people think the FOV setting should just be a checkbox that says "yes, please"
