Many non bengalis don't know but there are actually 100s of different veg dishes which are very unique for eg. Chhanar dalna, dhokar dalna, labra, chochori, mochar ghonto, 100s of saag, sukto etc etc

I enjoy watching your recipes. Loved the Bengali thali too. Posto is usually served with plain rice. So, a potoler dolma or dhokar dalna in place of posto would be a better combination in this thali.

Sir bengali dishes r too unique, and there r different variations, cos of east and west Bengal. And usually uses less spices. And it is the best🤣🤣🤣🤣but u did yr job too good❤

Ar posto bata dite hoy namanor ektu age. Posto debar pare 2 minute nede kancha sorser tel diye dhakna chapa diye namiye nite hoy. Tabe posto flavour puro pawa jay.❤

very nice. ur cooking style. loved it man. am sure everything taste very nice. twist of sooji in loochi is cool ur patoori mix is classic. we make it with ilish one feedback - not everyone include red chilli paste in posto. no dhania.
Sir in basanti pulap, we marrinate gobhindo vog chawal(washed and dried) with adrak, salt, haldi sugar, ghee, tez patta and keep aside for an hour. Then in ghee we fry dry fruits. Then in ghee we temper witg whole garammasala and then add the rice. Fry it well. Then add hot water in the ratio 2:1and cover it, and its done...😊 😊
No one add coriander leaves and ghee in alu posto , here poppy seed's test is very important,it is the main ingredient, you need to use more poppy seeds. The amount you use only will be good for one person serving. Green chilies should be use with poppy seeds it gives flavours not dry chilli . Black Cummins and turmeric powder is also we don't use, but some times its depends on how you like its your personal choice. We also make "potol alu posto", peyaj alu posto, borboti alu posto , dharos alu posto , fulkopi alu posto , peyaj posto and also fryed egg posto. Thik layer of poppy seeds should be seen in the dish. Then you can have the proper test . Niramish alu Dom should be made without onion . Onion is considered as amish in bengal. Cholar dal with alu only use in kachori and sweet Shops . Home made cholar dal or in catering services we don't use alu. If you add gur as topping in misti doi it's not a good choice, gur will dominate the original test of misti doi. This comment is not for insult, it's only for knowledge. As you represent the Bengali traditional food all over the world this little points will be very helpful for every one . Posto and Chana dal preparation is way off. Alu doesn't go in dal preparation. Also no garam masala in posto preparation. Posto preparation is dry version not a liquidy rassa item. Poppy seed needs to be fried or else it will not taste good in floating form. In reality water doesn't need to be added. Turai releases water and that is enough to cook when slow cooked by covering the pan and no garam masala as well.
correct. Jhinge posto is prepared by popy seed. There's no need to put dhaniya and ghee at the end. You can add posto while frying aloo and jhinga and end you can put sorso ka te about! It"s very tasty sabzi

He didn't put any garam masala in poshto, watch it again. Also, in my home we make both liquidy and dry poshtos. Depends upon mood. Also, since it's jhinge poshto, so at our home also it gets a bit runny which is absolutely fine. And we NEVER fry poppy seeds. This is something absolutely new, never have I seen anywhere ppl frying poppy seeds. I mean I am born and brought up in bengal in a Bengali house. My mother soaks it and then pastes it with kacha lonka in sheel nora. In chana daal u r correct at my home also mom doesn't put aloo, but, again I have eaten at others, where they do. Both if cooked well tastes good. Dhone pata is also at times put.

For your information, Bengalee never uses Onions & Garlics in veg-dishes...like onion used in Allor-Dum.
