And when talking about the best, it's unfair to compare other periods of rap, because lyricism and flow patterns are a lot more evolved than the 70's,80's,90's. So yeah you have an argument. But there is nobody that overwhelms the genre like Em did for such a long time. The dude just pushes the limits of delivery, rhyming and lyricism. There are others in the conversation for sure though. Like Wayne, Black Thought, Crooked, Royce,... But imo Em is way more consistent in showcasing his skills. Might not always be the best sound especially if you only like traditional hip hop, but the skillset the dude has is insane. From early to now.

He's also just a couple Kevin Bacon degrees away from you, because he did a feature with Karmin on a remix of Rae Sremmurd's "No Flex Zone", long before Amy from Karmin rebranded as Qveen Herby, who I just found out 5 minutes ago has recently dropped a track featuring Tech. She's a very skilled fast rapper too.
This was actually before Speedom. Speedom was 2015 and Rap God was 2013! He did say in an interview once that he used to rap fast in the early nineties. Once Speedom hit tho, he hit a new level of fast rap so I definitely think you and Tech mighta inspired him to loosen up a bit. Just my opinion!
Some of his early stuff was pretty fast, as you can tell from "Biterphobia", but it wasn't quite at this level. I think this was new for him, but it got a hell of a reception, so since then it's kind of become a signature move for him. Speedom would have been a pretty natural next step on that road for him after this, before doing stuff like "Homicide" with Logic, and then "Godzilla" and "Gnat". "Gnat" is an interesting one because the beat is slow and chill, but his flow keeps speeding up.

This was actually before Speedom. Speedom was 2015 and Rap God was 2013! He did say in an interview once that he used to rap fast in the early nineties. Once Speedom hit tho, he hit a new level of fast rap so I definitely think you and Tech mighta inspired him to loosen up a bit. Just my opinion!

Some of his early stuff was pretty fast, as you can tell from "Biterphobia", but it wasn't quite at this level. I think this was new for him, but it got a hell of a reception, so since then it's kind of become a signature move for him. Speedom would have been a pretty natural next step on that road for him after this, before doing stuff like "Homicide" with Logic, and then "Godzilla" and "Gnat". "Gnat" is an interesting one because the beat is slow and chill, but his flow keeps speeding up.
