Leasing isn't about keeping the truck. It's about earning money. The question is are you making money? Or are you just in it to pay for your truck payment and have a little money left over for food and clothing. Gotta really weigh the pro's and cons. I know for a fact you can make the same the money that prime lease operators make being home every day and actually have a life. Don't forget that not only are you selling off your time you're also selling off your health. Clearly you don't value those things since those were given to you. Once they are gone you'll understand.
@duvasio8956 That’s a pretty ignorant thing to assume. I’m sure there are local jobs that pay the same, the thing that doesn’t apply everywhere that people live. There will be better paying local jobs in Dallas Texas vs Dry Prong Louisiana . Not everyone lives in areas with local paying jobs that pay 1100-1500 a week. I guess you forgot to assume that???
@@duvasio8956 just shut up you’re coming off as stupid, you know you was talking about local trucking. Your pride is hurt and you don’t want to be wrong. A salesman? Really boy? That’s also feast or famine since that’s a commission job. Just shut up

Yes paisano !!! You are absolutely correct . “ accountability “ for you decisions. That is the reason I do. Not blame companies , corporations, shippers nor brokers !! None of those entities I named above will exist or be profitable without drivers , period. So when I driver , drives for a company who abuse and/or exploit them ….. who’s is fault??? When someone goes and lease his/her equipment and doesn’t get pay or treat how he/she expected, then who’s fault? Someone like you go and sign papers to become lease purchase driver and doesn’t read the contract , who should be blame for ? Course is the truck driver’s own stpdty. Now , let’s talk about the consequences of having a lots of people signing those agreements . Is devastated for this industry. Just because you are doing ok , it doesn’t mean it is ok . How can you justify it . People Like you have to drive over 3k miles in order to stay alive in this business. How can you justify getting pay the same amount of money that was paid in 2005 for the work you do in 2024? When everything is 3 or 4 times more expensive ? What a bunch of crap I seen the owner operator give back all the money back .where you an owner operator in 2018 before COVID hit ? The rates are back to 2018 era even a lil bit better my point is for the owner operator it was a profit all the way to the bottom where we are at. the owner operator took a load paying 20. 000 $ dollars from Seattle Washington to East Coast New Jersey Pennsylvania area and because it was still a "profit" you where here in 2018 right as owner operator? So getting 2.50 a mile was good so if the COVID rate per mile was 6.00 7.00 dollars a mile and why did the owner operator give all the money back? Compare to 2.50 in 2018 5 . 4. 3.dollars was still a "PROFIT" this kid here get contact fright you on the other hand get the leftover from mega carriers that end up on the spot market where the rate begins to to fall the brokers got eat the most ignorant don't what the cost of doing business in trucking is predator broker that take advantage of sap driver out of Chicago
