Hi - When people talk about ‘durability’ they often refer to the hydrophobic & beading characteristics of protection, rather than the protection it provides to your painted surfaces. In essence there are two answers to durability. 1. In terms of protection it will last approximately 1 month if you are using a non-neutral Alkaline wash product 2. In terms of beading and hydrophobics, even a neutral wash product can ‘kill’ the hydrophobics after one wash (as demonstrated in our ceramic coat video). However, just because the hydrophobics are ‘dead’ doesn’t necessarily mean the protection is no longer there! There are different chemicals in protection products that serve different purposes which are affected differently by soaps (again as explained in our ceramic coat video). This is the reason in this video we discuss ‘topping up’ your protection after each wash. So - to directly answer your question the likelihood is that you will see a decrease in beading after using AutoWash. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching and please make sure you check out the rest of the channel. Also check us out on Instagram, and if you’ve not subscribed on UA-cam please make sure you do! Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗

Hi, I use Carpro Reload on my Carpro CQuartz Lite ceramic coating and am very happy with it but seeing your video I got interested in the Myabi overload so I googled it. Wow, there is a V4 version now and it costs 134 EUR for 300 ml ... That is VERY expensive. With that price it must be a whole lot better than Reload and I doubt it is worth such a big price difference.
Ludo A - Honestly! It’s probably not worth the price difference on paper - but once you use it and see the beading, non-dust attracting formula, and great water spot reduction over Reload it may change your mind. But it’s all subjective - everyone has their favourite products! This video will hopefully just give you an honest comparison to help decide what is the best product for you! There’s no doubting that Reload gives awesome gloss, and it’s a product we also love using - especially mixing it to make the magic ‘EliXir’ 😎 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗
@@VProjectUKDetailing About the dust, you are absolutely right. Only yesterday I was with my black car driving behind a harvester who was losing hay debris during the ride and when I got home my whole car was covered with the hay particles sticking to the paint.
Am I an idiot for putting PBS Beadmaker on Kamikaze Zipang? I'd been searching for the best sacrificial coating and decided on Beadmaker, but hadn't considered the interaction between it and the existing coating...
@Engineering Works - Firstly thanks for watching. First you need to consider why you opted to use Zipang in the first instance? Was it for the protection?, the looks?, or the hydrophobic properties? Essentially - if it was for the protection only - then no you are not an idiot for using beadmaker. If it was for the looks and/or the hydrophobic properties then layering it with beadmaker is counter-productive as all you've done is cover Zipang with beadmaker so what's the point of having Zipang? Most manufacturers will create sacrificial coatings for two reasons - one is to protect the ceramic coat while it cures and secondly to boost the coating rejuvenating its properties. KC is no different. For Zipang we would recommend Overcoat as you'll be safe in the knowledge that it is compatible. However, if you wanted Zipang for paint protection only then layer it with whatever your sealant of choice is. Then it's just trial and error to see what works well inc. Beadmaker. Hope this helps. What are your thoughts on using Ech20 on Zipang? Also do you think I could use overcoat and dilute it 1:10 in a 500ml bottle and use that after every wash? Thanks for your time

That's my take away. Question: What do you actually use the detail spray for? I thought that the application would last 6-8 weeks. Thanks again!
Dean Bush - Glad you found the video useful. Watch our ceramic coat video. In this video we demonstrate that although the protective chemicals in good products last some time, it is actually quite easy to kill the ‘hydrophobic’ chemicals within most protective products even when using pH neutral cleaning products 🤭. A detailing spray will not only give you that final finish on your vehicle and layer the protection - but more importantly it will re-invigorate the hydrophobic properties of your protective product of choice 👍🏽
fskof - Great question! If we were going to a car show we would use PolishAngel Cosmic Spritz. Over and above either CP Reload or KC Over Coat v3.1 it has higher levels of TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) which is what provides the gloss. However, it requires 24-48 hrs of cure time. For daily use it is too expensive and also doesn’t provide that much more gloss than KC Over Coat. We compare it to Over Coat as it also provides the same ‘Carnauba’ type glow that Over Coat provides. However, the main reason we would only use PA Cosmic Spritz as a ‘show’ coat is that it is terrible for water spotting! The whole point of a ceramic sealant is mainly to protect a ceramic coat from water spotting which it doesn’t do very well. Hope this answers your question! Thanks for watching. If you’ve not checked out the rest of the channel please do so, and please make sure to Subscribe. Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽
Duncan Hankins - Layering Over Coat falls into the ‘over detailing’ category! Just use one or the other - they are both designed to serve the same purpose! ☺️. 3.1 has slightly more gloss than 3.0. If you have 3.0 just use that - you won’t notice much difference 👍🏽🚗
Have you tried Polished Angel Cosmic Spritz, if so how do you think that compares to the two on show here? Also, how effective is the Perfect Polish when used by hand rather than machine, I don't have a DA and looking to use it via hand to strip off the balls'd up nano sealant on my ceramic coat.
Duncan Hankins - Regarding PA Cosmic Spritz please refer to the reply we made to ‘fskof’ below - just saves typing it all out again! ☺️. Perfect Polish will be effective by hand! (But like most products not as effective as use with machine polishers). By hand it’s the chemical cleaners which will do most of the work as opposed to the fine abrasives (although they will still be effective), and by hand should still be enough to strip most waxes, sealants, and ceramic sealants! Thanks for watching 👍🏽🙏🏽👊🏽
HeavyProfessor - Both have different advantages and disadvantages. Ultimately they are both world class coatings - one of the main differences is that 3.0 will give you a cool crisp finish, whereas Miyabi gives a warm carnauba type glow so it really depends on individual preference. Thanks.
I am a detailer specializing in restoring the cosmetic appearance of vehicles. I rely on the type of research and testing that the type of channels like yours do. I never thought that I would ever find a channel that I would rate above Esoteric, Auto detailing car craft, Forensics" and Apex detailing. You mashup the competition. But one piece of advice show your face. From a marketing perspective it's so impersonal and a bit anti-social to communicate with people all the time with your fingers. As much as I admire your production, I can't help to find it a bit offensive. Your channel is crying out for a human face.
ludovic louisdhon - Wow! Firstly “thank you” genuinely for your kind words. The fact you hold us in such high esteem has made us very proud ☺️🙏🏽. Thank you for your recognition. Very much appreciated. When we launched the channel in 2019 we had to make some initial decisions on how we would present the channel. In some of our early videos, (which we hope you agree are gradually improving over time), we received some negative feedback regarding our hand gestures, and ‘finger puppet’ presentation. We listened to the feedback as ultimately we are producing content for you - our detailing family. We acted on this feedback and now try to produce videos with wider views and not just our hands. However, we are trying to balance producing videos of value vs respecting our privacy. It’s a tough balance. Some people reading this may think “well why are you on UA-cam if you don’t want to show yourself?”, and again the reason we produce videos is to impart our knowledge & experience to our viewers, and not necessarily for fame (although we do want a popular channel 😂). However - we fully appreciate that people relate to people, and not hands, so we fully understand your constructive comments. All successful enterprises evolve over time - and it’s inevitable that sooner rather than later we will show ourselves, which in turn will allow us to have a much more interactive & fun detailing channel. In the meantime - we hope that viewers such as you appreciate the current format, content, and message our videos try to impart over the current presentation. Once again thank you for your praise, and comments. They have been noted, as they also concur with our feelings. I’m sure you’re already a subscriber - but check us out on Instagram if you’ve not already done so. Thank You 👍🏽🙏🏽.
@@danlc95 What does one gain talking to your audience with your fingers and blatantly hiding your face? I rate this channel above all of them; yet as an avid consumer of its content, I can’t help being distracted and turn off by these hands. The real question is why do I feel that way? How many others feel the same way? Cause, with great pain, I consider this channel as the most underrated one in the detailing field.
Adam - We love Reload for the gloss, hydrophobics, self cleaning & beading. Only downsides are it can be a dust magnet, and unless used correctly it will streak. Apart from that we find it’s a good product 🙏🏽👍🏽🚗
@@VProjectUKDetailingwell for a start it's one of the least durable spray sealants on the market, being a dust magnet is unacceptable, but the main one for me is that when it "fails" over a super hydrophobic surface it'll not just quickly wash from the panel to reveal the underlying coating but actually sit there causing the surface to sheet. It's probably the only poor product that CarPro make and how they haven't replaced it I have no clue. A comparable top coat without the inherent problems would be igl premier.

UK 3.0 is better than Miyabi
No need to show their face.
I'm not going to show mine in any upcoming videos either.
Surprised you like Reload. Dreadful product.
Explain why you think it's a dreadful product!🤔
