Packrafting: The Best Way To Get Around In The Wilderness

Early spring and it´s time to go on my first packrafting trip this year. This time I am paddling Rönne å, here in southern Sweden. The nature has woken up after a long and dark winter. It became a calm and nice paddling trip with plenty of time for camp life and to spend time in front of the open fire. After I set up my hammock and tarp it was time for cooking and philosophizing in company with the warming fire.
A piece of fatwood was handy to lit the fire this time. A tree nearby had to act as a lever to get sticks long enough for the fire.
But what kind of birds sounds like a bunch of aliens when the darkness falls (15:26 minutes into the movie)? The temperature dropped to a few degrees below zero during the night, but I slept like a baby, warm and comfortable in my hammock.
I woke up to the songs of the birds and some frost on the tarp. I lied down for a long, long time in the warm sleeping bag before I was ready for breakfast - no hurry at all. As usual, I start the morning with some boiled eggs and a cup of coffee. Then I started my trip back home again.

It was a very nice film and nicely filmed. It was a bit funny to watch it because last week I had to decide on a trip to Sweden. I was thinking about a packraft trip on the Rönne å from Västra Ringsjön to Ängleholm or a hiking trip from åstorp to Höör. I did the hike. Next time it must be Rönne å.😃😃😃
