Practicing from class while doing homework. My 5 year old says the horse lips are embarrassing... I told her there is no shame when giving birth. 🤣 she is very interested in pregnancy and birth and watches these videos and birth vlogs with me. I wish she could be my support partner!
@@birthtoolbox yes, she is very interested in the whole thing. She is very smart for her age... I haven't explained how the daddy cell gets in there, but sje knows everything from the mommy cell and daddy cell meeting together, and loves to tell random people at the gas station about fallopian tubes and Uteruses! 😅
Thanks! These techniques really helped me when I had my first two kids 17 and 14 years ago, but needing a refresher, getting ready for a surprise third!
I'm so glad that these are helpful to you Tressa and I wish you so much luck with baby #3. Don't miss our latest video about pain relief with counter pressure ua-cam.com/video/VMZhUakuVLk/v-deo.html
Alice, I love this video. It totally reinforces what we learned in class and hearing it again, really helped it sink in deeper. But beyond that, for some reason, and I'm totally grateful for this beautiful insight/inspiration, the thought occurred to me, we as a society are SOOOOO focused on the pain and suffering of labor/birth. But why do we not view it more as totally normal? For instance, when we train for a marathon, do we think or even for one second, consider that it's going to be easy, fun, a walk in the park? Or when we decide to lose weight, or quit smoking, or start a new job, etc. and on down the line? No! We realize it (whatever challenge/change we're facing) will have it's difficulties and accept that fact, for the greater good and advantages that embracing/overcoming the change/challenge will bring us. And we then seek out the help, advice, and support of those who have gone down the same road before us. We even then enjoy the empowerment and achievements that we feel/reach along the way, especially once we meet our end goal. Why do we not view labor more like this?! I want to try for that, this time! Thank you for all your help, guidance, support, encouragement, etc. Alice! You have been such a blessing!
Sometimes life brings to the corner where female has only herself with her baby and Nature. In countries of poverty, in war and so on, a pregnant female left to labour on the street any place, in the case of complications, has no any help, even no water a long time of period. So, always remember, how lucky are already women , who have a possibilities and to remember about those who don’t have, because of conditions around them.
This topic was recorded during a live stream and the video is a little glitchy, but the content is good. Thanks for your understanding!
doing my HW! Nice watching this with my partner.
That's awesome!

I LOVE when kids show an interest in birth and when parents like you include them in the birth experience!! Makes me so happy.

YES YES YES!!! Totally agree with this idea Ann. We should be proud of our achievement in birth.
