I am glad to be a quiet leader! I am doing my first 24 hourfast today. The 16:8 doesn't help me. I used to eat only 1 meal a day when I was a nurse 20 years ago. I feel so much better eating carnivore!!! I never gained all of this weight until my husband convinced me to "eat healthy" and eliminate meat and we were having more vegetables. I could hardly walk with all of the inflamation. I thought I was coming to the end of life at 65 yrs old. Then I saw these videos! You guys have been my life changer! I am scared to go off of it for fear of becoming inflamed again!

64 year old retired physician. I started Carnivore two years ago with intermittent fasting, just one meal a day in the evening.
I lost 40 lbs over 5 months. BMI went from 29 to 22. My 20 year history of high blood pressure disappeared. Also no more eczema, seasonal allergies, migraines, kidney stones or knee pain. I stopped taking 5 medications. Cured my metabolic syndrome. I can hike as far and as fast as I could 25 years ago.
I only eat beef, pork, chicken, seafood and eggs. Anytime I try to reintroduce plants, I get bloated and my allergies return.
The Carnivore and low carb high fat (LCHF) community saved my life.

The changes in my life were so transformative. Huge shift in my mental acuity, consistent energy level, strength, the clearing of health issues, and feeling like I’m 25 again. I have no desire to cheat off of the Carnivore diet or go back to that sick S.A.D. lifestyle ever again.

I’m 44 and need to lose 100 pounds and cure my brain fog. I started today. I have two little ones at home all day while my husband works (the brain fog and lethargy is really terrible) and my father lives with us (he’s 71). He’s always been active, but this decline when he retired 5 years ago, and truth be told - he had pneumonia a little over a year ago and it did a number on him. He’s agreed to start it with me today! He was on Atkins in the late 90’s and stayed on maintenance for about 20 years. My dad’s such an awesome guy and I really want to see him reclaim some of his life.

@@katiejon17 Good luck katiejon17 !!!! You be the example for your father. Just keep dialing back on ALL the carbs. You may pee a lot at first and I had dizzy spells for a few days. Measure yourselves at first since weights sometimes can slow or fluctuate. Don’t eat if you are not hungry, never drink any calories, throw out every drop of seed oils, empty your pantry of every GD box, bag, bottle if it has been processed, flavored, has any kind of fructose in it. Accept the fact that sugar is hidden behind 165 other synonyms. Your goal is to transform your body into a fat burner, not a carb burner. Be prepared for your energy levels and moods to go thru the roof!! You’ve got to follow the advice of Dr. Berry and your goal is actually to be metabolically healthy. Keep watching his videos, even more than once sometimes. Get the blood tests that Dr. Berry mentions in numerous videos to measure your progress. Read the comments from those who have seen the light and forget everything you were taught about nutrition since 1978. (or thereabouts)

My success story: Background… had been yo-yo dieting since I was 13 years old (I just wanted to be a normal sized teenager). By the time I was 56 1/2 years old, I had ballooned up to nearly 380 lbs.
Feb 1, 2019: started my low carb journey at 378.8 lbs.
    Feb 1, 2022: reached 154.0 lbs
Feb 1, 2023: 153.8 lbs! I have maintained a 225 lb weight loss for over a year now, something I’ve never before been able to achieve.
    What I did:
    1) keep my net carbs under 20 grams per day
    2) intermittent fasting, my eating window varies from 6-8 hours a day, so my fasting length is 16-18 hours/day.
    3) walk over 5 miles a day. It took me almost two years into my journey to up my walking game, and I’ve been a dedicated walker ever since. I now walk for my mental health more than my physical health.
    4) 64 + ounces of fluids a day, including coffee, water, and tea
I’m now 60 1/2 years old and I feel fantastic! Thank you for all of your advice! Dr. Berry, I’d love to meet you someday and shake your hand!

I went to see my doctor today...he is a colon and rectal surgeon. I had surgery for colon cancer last year (it was metastatic) in March and I'm due to have a colonoscopy soon so I went to see him about that. He asked if I've been having any issues, how have I been feeling? I told him my most recent concern was feeling stomach cramps that felt like I got punched in the stomach and the pain would last for days and was very debilitating, I couldn't do anything. I also told him I started a low-carb diet. He jumps in before I finished my statement and says that the diet is what caused the cramps. I was going to tell him I haven't felt those cramps since I started eating low-carb and I feel great on this diet, but I just left it alone. This is the same doctor that tried to convince me to do chemo for at least 3 months when I refused that treatment. I'm sorry, but all these doctors are full of shit! If I would have gone along with his and my oncologist advise to do chemotherapy, I would have potentially harmed my healthy cells and organs for nothing. So far my markers are good and I am being proactive with diet and fasting. I feel very appreciative to my digestive health doctor for removing all that cancerous junk out of my body, but the BS..is too much.

Back in 2017, I was 325 pounds at 5'11and went all meat meals first part of 2017 one meal a day 2500 meal a day with water and the last six months of 2017 keto meals and still one meal a day after that. New year 2018 weighs 140 pounds. Now before all of this I have suffered comfort eating overindulgence of carbs and sugar and found out before weight loss I was also lactose intolerant so I was in terrible shape and I was not healthy enough to do anything. Now I walk at least 12,000 to 15,000 a day and always lift heavy things and if it wasn't Joe Rogan podcast and Tim Ferriss books and podcast. Helped me a lot to getting information to lose weight and also to mention I cut out sugar and carbs and dairy and Seed Oils completely removed from house. Beef tallow with eggs and mostly used for my cooking needs, now it's not for everyone but I will say I went hard into this because in my words "I was tired of being a fat fuck" again my words. So find food that works for you and makes you have energy to do things. I substitute coffee for soda, I substitute beef tallow for all my cooking needs and salt and pepper that's it, also I drink structured water daily. May you be happy and May You be free of Suffering, Take Care Cheers!

I'm 77, 78 in April, and in excellent health, according to my primary care physician (for about 20 years), blood work and the way I feel. I told my doctor during a routine visit last Monday (6 days ago) that I was thinking about the Carnivore diet, and asked his opinion. He said that it's a good diet that has helped lots and lots of people, and he is fine with me giving it a try. His only proviso was that if I stayed with it, be sure to let him know my results, he's very interested.
This morning my weight was 8 pounds less than my weight at the doctor's visit Monday, 6 days ago, from 216 to 208 (I'm 5' 10"). I've been walking a mile every other day, and continue to do so. I'm still feeling great. I'm using my crockpot to prepare stew meat, "taco meat" (thin sliced flank steak chopped into small pieces) and chuck roast.
I'm expecting my weight to fluctuate and I'm OK with that. My diet before was not necessarily low carb, but it was low in fiber, and I haven't noticed any difference in my bowel movements other than less frequent.

It made sense that so many obese people were having difficulty with Covid, because they were deficient in Vitamin D. Their fat was absorbing it, and it wasn't availble for their immune systems. I began taking 15000 IU every day because I was working remotely and didn't get outside in the sun, at all! Even after several months of that my Vid D level was still only 43! Also, you mentioned inflamed Eustachian tubes. I got Bells Palsy in 2014 and my Eustachian tubes have never recovered on the Bell’s palsy side. My face never totally recovered and often feels tight. My ear does not function properly. I started my Keto journey in 2021 when I felt my worst. Took a few detours with GAPS diet and trying to digest fat and meat since I was vegan 25 years and vegetarian a total of 32 years. My Keto started humming Fall 2022. I’ve done lots of prolonged water fasting, intermittent fasting, and the supplement Tudca helped me a ton. I raise my own meat now on a small farm and am doing the strict Paleomedicina diet. My Hashimotos disappeared with Keto and I lost 50 lbs. I feel the best I’ve felt my entire life despite the Cancer. Do you have any ideas about my Eustachian tubes and Bells Palsy? I discovered by accident recently that I have acid reflux.
Suffered for years and thought it was food allergies, I take a daily tonic of ACV, lemon juice, ginger and cinnamon with water! Woohoo, the pain is finally gone! I had too low of acid in my stomach.
High fat carnivore was really jacking me up and I got mad enough to do research.
I know we don’t want to unnecessarily add ACV or lemon juice but this ole gal is thrilled! ♥️🙏🏻

I have been on Keto/carnivore for 3 years. Lost 40 lbs. A1C was 5.9 now its 5.2. Triglycerides were 450 now they are 85. Total cholesterol was way down...Doctor told me every visit I was a rock star because of my blood work was awesome....then I had my 4th in my life CAC Score. It's a CT scan of your heart checking for calcium in your arteries. Before keto I had a 24% percent yearly increase in my CAC Score. Eating all that Saturated fat for 3 years was making my blood labs look great...but it was killing me. I had another scan last week and my score shot up to a 45% annual increase. Got a score of 226. 2 years ago it was 108. 4 years ago it was 56. If you do keto maybe only do it for a year max. I'm still eating low carb...but now it's low fat also. This means I increase my carbs but eat carbs that have fiber also. Sucks as I loved eating bacon, butter and beef everyday.
