Looking at what Christian does here, many people will have a hard time to learn those tabs, because of huge amount of tears dropping constantly and involuntary.
Exactly, he has been in Necrophagist, Obscura, and for me in the best Spawn of Possesion album, Incurso. And have done a lot of collabs with bands like Gorod, First Fragment... He is pretty underrated :(
It’s honestly so impressive how Christian has been able to adjust his style given his condition, such a hard working musician. Also that RG is friggin beautiful, proud to say I have a very similar 652 model
@@sayanmandal2246 not a 100% sure about it, but as I read and listen from other people with the condition, the pressure generated by the gloves helps stop the fingers from twitching and trembling too much so that chances of his finger being contracted are reduced.

All you need to sweep cleanly is a decent lead tone with not too much gain, a noise gate (which doesnt affect the sound when you're actually playing a note), and a good technique. He's also using the neck pickup for the solo. You don't need to heavily chop anything. (Also please do not turn the volume knob on your guitar to max.)
@@lashedandscorned Why not have volume at max... Always been curious about this, I can understand with like EMGs but as someone who uses passives, why not.
Thank you for this comment, I was wondering why he use a glove, but I guess it has something to do with his disease. I love Obscura but I dont know much about the dudes, other than they all are extremely talented of course
This guy next to Justin McKinney is like the unsung hero of technical death metal. Played in Spawn of Possession, Necrophagist, and now Obscura? Dude's a fucking legend.

@@clem_chret He has focal dystonia. I believe the glove allows him a little use of his middle finger, but without it, he basically had to relearn guitar with one less finger. Here you can tell the way he uses it less and the position it's in that his hand still has some issues.
@@Circaninesix Inkniw his condition but I though it concerned his whole hand. But yeah about his middle finger, it seems he is using it less then we would do but he is using it :)
I wished i could sell my soul for these guitar skills but sadly i am a redhead. On a more serious note this makes me happy. Happy that there is a new album, happy that Christian is back and happy that he found a way to still play guitar on a top master level despite the condition. If you read this Christian: you rock, i wish you tons of guitar related fun that is not spoiled by the condition.
Brilliant is an understatement, the riffing is mind-blowing. His ability to cleanly switch between down-picks, up-picks and alternates, plus sweeps in a superbly seamless fashion is incredible.
I just saw Obscura last night in Calgary and I was at the front not even two feet away from Christian and I was absolutely blown away when Solaris was being played and whenever he would play a lead. Truly inspiring
Such a sick player and sick song! And can we talk about how on point those sweeps are with the rhythm of the double bass at 0:54, 1:58, and 3:28?? just mind blowing how they can keep in sync with each other so cleanly like that 🤯
From 2:41 to 2:58 i have evidenced the most amazing neoclassical arpeggio runs i would love to know the chord progression there there was so much tension carried OMG Bach in neoshred😍😌
Christian is the best guitar player probably in all history just because he manages to encompass all the evolution of the instrument in his compositions I mean... For real we guitar players should learn the way he did is the pinnacle of guitar 😮😮😮
Wow. I keep typing about how he does something sick and then I delete it because I see something better I want to mention… every aspect is sick. His right hand looked about as loose as my mom after her divorce. Phenomenal
Been listening since these guys since 2010. Love how they can write play so many things; full-on (neo)classical, death metal, jazz, or even give techdeath a really ethereal sunday chill vibe like the song Akroasis. Truly outstanding musicians!
Enjoy your life Chris my friend. I am also the chosen one. Have a good night. I hope you have a good life too and I mean that from one neoclassical guitarist to the next.
Loving the sonics of this record (along with the crushing riffs I've heard so far). So crisp and clear with a #savage low end. 😏 Can clearly hear everything going on. 👊 Great playthrough Christian!
