A lot of them to this (sometimes it can be turned off in a menu) and it's to provide a smoother start and end to a zoom rather than going from zero to full speed in an instant (and vice versa)
i dont understand the differences am i idiot? i wanna ask sth if it has sth to do with these clear image zoom feature. for example i am zooming to my friend but this ax53 always focusin the background instead my friend. it takes a few seconds to focus on my friend. how can i fix this problem? also why it blurring background while focusing on someone or vice versa? i dont want it to blur anything just give me the whole scene.
You're arguing against the laws of physics and optics there. The camcorder is not deciding to blur the background, that's just what happens when you have certain combinations of sensor size, iris opening and zoom. It's called "depth of field" and will get less the more you zoom, so fewer parts of the image will be in focus.
There are more pixels on the sensor than are needed for either a 4K or HD image so by cropping in on the sensor, you still get a full 4K / HD pixel readout but in a zoomed image. Plus Sony uses some pixel interpolation to crispen it up a bit, I believe.
No, that's incorrect. You get a 30x zoom in 4K and 40x in HD (the optical zoom alone is 20x). You are correct that Steadyshot must be Active or Intelligent Active
@@UKAirscape no you are wrong. i tested it. 4k gives only 20x optical plus digital zoom. 4k video uses more of the sensor area that 1080p would use for the CIZ feature so the extra 10x CIZ is not available in 4k. a zoomed image is smaller in 4k than in 1080p.
You do get CIZ in 4K. CIZ *is* a digital zoom. Here, from Sony's own website: "20x optical zoom lens and Clear Image Zoom of 30x/40x (for 4K/HD) allow you to shoot faraway subjects"
@@UKAirscape CIZ works with digital zoom 250x turned off. it is not part of 250x digital zoom feature. so test it as i did. turn off DZ and see what zoom you get in both 4k and 1080p. you will find 1080p is more powerful than 4k.
Is there an option to turn on clear zoom? I don't see the option in the menu. Thank you
No dedicated option; it switches on when stabilisation is Active or Intelligent Active.
+UKAirscape Thank you for replying. 😀
why does not the zoom go with a regular speed? I noticed a slight slowdown during the zoom in .... even my ax53 has this little problem.

How does that work? Clear image zoom 30x
????

@@UKAirscape but how you actualy do it ? what the settings are because the video mean nothing without telling us the setting to do that shit :_))))
The video is a demonstration not a tutorial. Read the manual.
@@UKAirscapecan U help me , turn on / off : clear image izoon, where is it ?
It does not work in 4K mode. Only in Full HD Intellegent Active or Active mode.
