A few minutes in, I appreciate that you use 2x4s, plywood and clamps from Harbor Freight, not birch plywood and every Festool product supplied by a sponsor. Way to keep it real! Thanks.
Very nice! Just a thought - you only drilled holes on one half of the top. If you drilled one row of holes on the other end of the table, you'd then have access to the entire table surface for clamping area (doubles the length of stuff you can clamp).
very cool, i also had kinda warped plywood, so i turned it upside down so all the weight was pressing on the tops, mine is only 3X5 but its heavy as balls
You are speaking my language! Big. Cheap. Awesome! Only question.. How flat is that top? Have you put a level up to it? I am always worried my "joists" wouldn't be perfect and would throw off everything. Thanks!
Any plans for the bottom area? Shelf or storage of any kind? Love the simple design and the dog holes on half are awesome. No need to dog hole the whole thing. Nice work!
@@oxintheshop ok I figured I just wanted to make sure haha I don't like how Kreg has their own square lookin' head (but they do have a second option I think?)
Hey OX.... ever consider putting wheels on this? If so how would you? I made this along with you, but realized I need it everywhere in the 1600 sq ft shop but really don't need another one yet

No problem George I have festool tools too that I bought just try to help out where I can
Great table! You can put some dog hole size dowels in some 2x2 pieces that act as a movable shelf to rest wood on for your vertical side.
Absolutely LOVE the "level drilling guide" eye bolt trick. Stealing it. Good channel. Keep it up.
Thanks dan hopefully more videos to come soon
I like the editing, you communicated what you were doing without undo filler.
Awesome thanks Gary Im glad to hear that. Thanks for watching I hope I helped too
is there a reason NOT to drill dog holes on the whole top? im brand new to this so really loved your video thanks!
Nice one! I never think about putting stuff on the end of the bench.
Thanks it does come in really handy too

Thanks for the comment Adam I like that idea
Love the simplicity of this design. Thanks.
Thanks that was the whole plan
Nice job it gave me an idea for my bench top.
Awesome glad to help
Awesome job really like the side panel with dog holes great idea. Take Care
Yea instead of a leg vise this works very well
Nice assembly table, Drew. Sometimes simple is best,
Billy
Thanks billy I agree
very cool, i also had kinda warped plywood, so i turned it upside down so all the weight was pressing on the tops, mine is only 3X5 but its heavy as balls
Yea since this video was posted I have gone back and added some storage under it too so it is a beast.
Simple and functional!
Thanks Zach. Yea this thing has been working great and very useful on these cabinets I’m working on

Only question.. How flat is that top? Have you put a level up to it? I am always worried my "joists" wouldn't be perfect and would throw off everything.
Thanks!
The top is pretty flat I did use a level and shim the legs to get it as level as I could
Very nice build! Love my Krieg Jig!
Thanks a lot. I like mine too. I did just get a domino so each has its own place
I like it, but I would make the 2x4 frame and rest it on top of the legs so it is not just supported by pocket hole screws.
True you could do that. I haven’t had any problems and I put huge cabinet builds and tables on it while I stand on top to and have had not problems
@@oxintheshop Yah, I am a structural designer. I definitely may be overthinking things. ;) Great build.
Great build.
Thanks
Nice steel toe flip flops
Thanks I don’t wear steal toes I don’t see the need
@@oxintheshop have a 4x8 sheet of plywood slip and edge land on you toe and you may change your mind. Take care 😊🍻
Nicely done! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks fred

I don't have any plan on the website yet but I do have storage on it check out my IG to see what I have done
@@oxintheshopCant find anything on IG about storage, is it still there?
I live in Cartersville too
Awesome great place
Looks great! Any advantage to using 2x4's in an L shape as legs as opposed to using something like a 4x4 for the legs?
The 4x4 would work too. I just like the 2x4s they are lighter and cheaper or were cheaper I don’t know about now with how lumber has gone up
is there any reason to use those Kreg screws or really will any outdoor screw work like those used for deck building?
The Kreg just work the right way for the pocket holes but you can use others too
@@oxintheshop ok I figured I just wanted to make sure haha I don't like how Kreg has their own square lookin' head (but they do have a second option I think?)
Was your panel saw rockin' some purple heart?
Lol probably
Brilliant, thank you!
No problem jono glad to help
nice job.
Thanks

I think rockler sells some that can be fit on the side of legs and the pressed down to engage to move around. That’s what I would use
@@oxintheshop thanks for the quick response, your are always the best at that. I will check out Rockler, I like their items
Yea me as well I’m a big rockler fan
Nice Work Drew! Love the footwear choice =)
Lol flip flops all day you know it is hot in the south. My feet need to breath and be free lol
@@oxintheshop Damn straight! Northerners don't get it!
Lol yup
Can you use the K4 kreg jig for 2x4´s or do you need the Heavy-Duty version?
You can use all the kreg jigs on 2x4s
@@oxintheshop Cool! Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Can you tell me the brand and name of those clamps at the end? Are they Bessey?
Yes they are bessey I have a link to them in the description
@@oxintheshop The description says Armor Clamps
love the video but the music is too load
Thanks and sorry I guess
We saw u on the road do you remember us? We talked to u
Yes I remember first time that has ever happened while driving lol
just knock some pegs in place to keep the wood from moving with just one clamp
That is a great idea too thanks
It was a ten y o girl and a eleven y o boy we were on Barrett pkwy
Now this table will costs $363 lol prices are outrageous now
Lol I didn’t think of that but yea it would be $175+ for sure
Make some dogs then you only need one clamp
That is a good idea I will have to do that
music sucks, not necessary
Let me know you you post a video and I’ll see how it is done thanks 😉
