Very clean playing, when I play slayer all my strings tend to ring out from playing so hard hahah I'd like to be on your level of control some day haha
It seems like the more rounded & better the band got the easier his bass lines were like reign in blood is ridiculously easy to play. well didn't necessarily call for intricate basslines ,it Was brutally fast. Then on seasons in the abyss that stuff not hard to play. The 1st bass player that i ever started to jam w/ in highschool we used to jam to hell awaits & show no mercy. But some of the very 1st baselines he ever learned were stuff on reign of blood an season in the abyss. The shit Tom did on world painted blood was pretty damn cool basslines I gotta admit. Not saying hes a badass player He wasn't some technical wizard on the base but he got the job done. I take that back I think what he did on South of heaven was pretty cool. Tom & Dave Lombardo really stepped up their musicianship on that SOH. I think that's when Dave Lombardo also started using Tama drums before that he used Rogers drums on the 1st 3 albums. I know for a fact show no mercy, live un dead/haunting the chapel and Hell awaits he used a Roger's drum set. I am pretty sure he tackled rain in blood with a Roger's set as well.
Sick cover and i love that Widow bass, nothing better for Slayer than that. You nailed it with the fingers cause Tom was playing with his fingers during that time, i wish he would have continued. Awesome cover!!!!
What kind of base are you playing is it BC Rich? I kinda reminds me of Blacky's bass from voivod. His liberatore! Bass sounded so good on nothing face and angel rat

blacky's bass had a V shape and JJ Emg pickups so idk what youre seeing that im not cuz this bass is nothing like Blacky's Blower Bass. Besides color.
