AMC is now doing virtual space available travel roll calls (VRC) now which is pretty cool. It means you don’t have to drag your bags and family members to the terminal to only find out that you didn’t make the flight. They have been using this style roll call in the Pacific air terminals for a few years now.
A VRC is just a process developed that allows you to be considered for seats virtually (e.g. at home, lodging, BX, Burger King....) without physically attending the traditional Roll Call in the terminal. It may not be offered at all locations or on all missions. If VRC is offered then it will be listed as such on the schedule. The basic steps (slight variations may be implemented at different locations).

S Ballard Yep, we have seen them and last time we were out west, it was hit and miss and only on certain flights at certain terminals. Glad to hear it’s becoming more widespread.

not ambitious enough to get on a Space A flight ----saw pretty much all of Europe, Hawaii.....guess I could fly over to Korea/Japan. This was well worth listening to/watching - very good information....I'll have to backtrack and watch #1 first. Safe travels and thanks.

Rick Martin absolutely. We flew from MS to HI to see our son in Okinawa. Made it.

I was wonder about your ROTA trip. As a retired military member traveling with a dependent, what did you need to get on and off the base for you and your wife?

As long as you have a DoD retiree ID card for both of you, you can get on base and fly. NOTE: a VA ID card does not qualify. Bases no longer do stickers on the windshield for access. Must be an ID.

you can go to openstreets and can set up and down load a specific map for what you need, its free and works great. Check it out on UA-cam.

I ordered a Garmin Map of Europe from Amazon. It was not that expensive.

The background music doesn't do anything for me, except that it's a distraction. Especially for a veteran who has some hearing loss, it's just extra noise that I need to filter out to try and focus on what you are sharing. Although I realize that this is an older video, moving forward, please consider videos withOUT any background music. Also, not sure if you've noticed but your Outtro music blares. It's a higher volume level than your speaking voice volume, so please consider adjusting that accordingly. Thanks!

Nice video Kelly. Just a tip for viewers, when we went to Mildenhall we packed light due to Mildenhall having more flights on C-21's (Learjets) They have a 30lbs baggage limit. That allowed us to catch the only flight out to Ramstein.
