Great kids scooter not a great adult scooter imo, I bought one for my 10 year old start of lockdown, a few things, you can switch off the dangerous auto cruise control, this is a must especially for kids, the electric breaking is savage with no way to adjust it in the app, it's not so bad in slow speed but in top speed mode its on or off and it's dangerous, a few things you missed were the fact that you can use the fender on the rear as a brake, this is much safer at higher speeds due to how savage the electric brake is, also the tyres are hard rubber and not pneumatic although there is some suspension in the steering tube, the clunk you can hear in the video. The app is very limited and really needs some work, we have had it for 8 months and it's been durable, it will do about 15 miles max with my 10 year old on it and it climbs about as well as an M365 as we test both together, top speed is also identical to m365. The display screen is hard to see in daylight especially what mode you are in. Great kids/teen scooter but I'd not recommend it for a larger adult, the m365 is a much smoother ride albeit at slightly more money. It's good value and they really need to sort the app so you can adjust the electric brake, maybe a 3rd party vendor will step up, another thing to watch is that if the scooter is laid on its side and the grip hits the ground it can push the grip right against the throttle lever so the lever doesn't snap back with a full throttle situation, the m365 also suffers from this issue, something to watch out for. Great review as usual mate 👍😎
Thanks mate, very good points, I noticed that about the rear fender braking but forgot to say it 😉 you are right about the regen though its pretty savage! Can you remember how to remove the cruise control? In the app the toggle switch seems to not let you change it...
@@andykirby it's a superb scooter for lighter riders, I think we turned the cruise control off with a button press, I'll check, there is another app that is supposed to work with it as well but it didn't connect very well, honestly I almost went over the bars when using the e brake, my lad is a really skilled rider though he manages it just fine uses both fender and e brake, there is a really steep hill near us and he shoots up there at almost full speed, with me on it it almost stalls, I'm 6'4 and 17 stone though 😂
Happy to hear they've sorted out the rattle that the original Kugoo S1 had, that was the only downside with an otherwise good little machine. Oh yeah, also you need to get an electric unicycle to review, they're great fun once you learn to ride them, and more compact than a scooter in terms of portability.
That's a cool scooter, nice review , thanks Andy . i wonder if you will boost the power .. what a good lightweight transportation device ,. ideal .. always enjoy you content , even back in the shed days mixing and stuff ..
Got one of these for my girlfriend, it is very much not light and the folding mechanism takes a big manly kick to unlock. Otherwise a decent scooter, certainly the best value for money!
Hey I got a question about your ebike conversion kit. What is the hub width if it? I want to see on which bikes it would fit. Also if f.e the width is 142mm but the frame is 135mm is there anyway to still make it compatible? Thanks in Advance!
Anyone got this and can't see their software version and hardware version on the app? My battery always reads low and so motor doesn't work. Battery is fully charged
Andy, when have you got more tunes coming out ? Love your Aurora tune. Of course Amazon is a bit relaxed at notifying me when more tunes are released by yourself. I had to go and check your outlet on Amazon to find your tune. Hardly marketing your music is it ?
Andy do you have the charger for this scooter? Will you sell to a boy in Cardiff? They sent me the scooter WITHOUT the charger and I cannot seem to find the correct one anywhere.
nice video, thanks ..I've got the same as a present these days - it's cool. My problem is, I didn't get a manual (like you show it here in the clip) and I cannot activate Bluetooth on the scooter and so I cannot use the app. How could I do it, how could I switch on BT there? (the upper left icon should be on then, I guess) ...is there a combination of pushing the orange bottom? What I found out is ...if you push the bottom 5 times you lock and unlock the motor (there is a short beep indicating it) but that's all I know. Please, if anybody knows ...just tell me :) thanks
Can you do various mods to this scooter like suspension and a increased in top speed because that would be something good to see. Some mods I've done is bodge a xiaomi m365 brake on it.
Hey Andy, hope you’re well. I was wondering if I could talk to you about something ebike related. I’m looking for advice with regards to an idea I have for something which I will tell you more about in a private message or email if you are interested. It could be something you might want to make some UA-cam content about. Dave.
Hi Andy, Just been on your website.. I'm interested in the vapour (fully built) but i noticed in the specs it says no throttle?? I thought it would have one with that powerful bafang motor??
Police in Edinburgh have been cracking down on these, even handing out points on license and taking them away on flatbed towing trucks. Ridiculous really. Check out Edinburgh police or road policing Scotland on Twitter and you'll see loads of posts. twitter.com/polscotrpu/status/1318880562963243008?s=19
E-Scooters aren't reliable enough imo I've had 2 and I had to sent them back, they have too many faults and especially if you're a big guy not many out there for us unless you spend ridiculous money on them
You serious! I got this very scooter and it's fun for a city drive and now you're reviewing it. This makes my day.

Don’t recommend it for teens as I have the Dualtron city with a top speed of 45mph, I’m 13 and the kugoo would be boring for kids my age
Got one as well, discovered the best way to get out of the cruise control is to just give the throttle a quick tap instead of braking
Yeah thats what I found too
@@andykirby The mode button also switches it off, pretty much press any button on the scooter and it'll stop.

yea im still using my original S1 now had it for over 3 years ..and yes mine does rattle.
Looks like a good scooter for knocking about town great review as usual.
I recognise hertford north on the video. Have you moved? I would be tempted to get one of these for commuting through the lea valley

In many countries such E-steps E-scooters are prohibited on public roads.
For example here in the Netherlands, you get a hefty fine if you get caught.
Thanks good review am getting one ☝🏻👌🏻
Looks good thanks.
Nice scooter that one.just noticed you left Stansted and living in Hertford now? Tend to visit there and panshanger and reconise it well
Run a phase controller through it 😉
Andy, I see Amazon are now selling LTO batteries ranging between 20Ah to 40Ah.
Ideal for a customised Twizy ? Hmm
Nice one mate 😊

give it a shunt mod.
Is it a reliable company to buy from
Is there something faster with solid tyres and suspension
how much do you weigh @andy kirby? I an 139kg could this scooter be ok for me?
I was wondering when they would switch to plastic wheels. Only a matter of time before they figured it out.
The wheels are rubber though lol, I got this scooter too so I am speaking from experience, plastic wheels would be super dangerous lol.
You want the kugoo M4 or M4 Pro really, nearly 30mph 25 mile range and under £550
I've been able to try a similar scooter called the Uscooter eco model

Mate how long did it take for deliver
what is the height?
@11m should have nudged the over fed WHALE into the canal
Looks ok but needs more power for those hills, might as well walk up lol.
that actually looks pretty dope. what a great price too. im very tempted
Can we buy a portable power bank to charge the scooter?
Yes, there's a video later today featuring the sort of thing but it is pretty big, there are smaller ones.
@@andykirby are you posting any video about power back of this scooter?

Just been on your website.. I'm interested in the vapour (fully built) but i noticed in the specs it says no throttle?? I thought it would have one with that powerful bafang motor??
Hi I have the same scooter but I can’t fold it
hey can I ask is it good for me if im 168cm? like enough big
Where did you buy this scooter?
Geekbuying

this is good value forn money but it is pretty weak but ok for kids teens and elders. in my opinion
Yup it's not good for adults
Yeah thats what I say, it's ok for lightweight riders. The next one I'm reviewing will separate the men from the boys😅
@@andykirby yes love that wide wheel scooter as well 👍👍
