Escape from Meriden 2021, an 87 mile escape to Cambridge.

This video is my experience of the 2021 escape from Meriden. Or more pointedly a descent into delirium. This is a great event where the idea is to start at Meriden , the centre of England and you have 24 hours to run away as far as possible in any direction you choose.
Medals are awarded at 30 , 60 and 90 miles (as the crow flies) so realistically 33, 68 , 104 miles for silver, gold and Black awards.
It is as easy or hard as you make it, there are no checkpoints or aid stations just 24 hour garages and superstore toilets to treat your blisters in, all glamour !

Singing must be a family trait. I was roaring out my unofficial choice of Meriden anthem 'Long Hard Times To Come' along Biddulph Way. With a lot of vigour when I was rerunning the miles I had backtracked on! Love the video bro.
