This is so disgusting. My brother went to get his masters so he can become a pastor and only sought to spread God’s word. It’s sickening to see other pastors use religion as a big donation pot for their bank accounts!

My mom donated $1K and the pastor was mad, made a bit in his sermon stating there are some of you that have given and I know there is more that you can give. She was hot and found a new church after that.
Cousin stopped going first time out because the passed the collection plate around 3x during that 1.5 hour long Haitian sermon. If you know you know 😆
I remember when I did my first communion. The Pastor wanted donations so he could renovate the church and make it bigger. People would literally stand outside the church with the doors open to see/hear him. It’s been 12 years since I did my first communion and the church hasn’t changed at all. Same benches, walls, floor and everything. He lives in town and if anything, his house has gotten improvements instead.

All the pastors that I knew growing up all had their own jobs and God bless them with great jobs so that they can maintain their own lives and not use the church's money for that. A lot of these pastors who are insanely Rich due to their congregation giving them the money have clearly let it get to their head that they are owed this money.

Straight from my mother, a pastor: “You don’t have to “honor” a pastor. Only respect them like anyone else. That’s what they are after all-just like everyone else.”
For those that don’t know, money donated to the church is for the betterment of the church. Replacing old books, fixing pews, raising money for missions (which I have my own personal feelings about but I digress) etc. Money is NOT for the pastor. I hate that the scripture that I love so much and that is so unbelievably CLEAR is being twisted in these people’s hands.
Right if that money is going g directly into the pastors pocket you need to stop giving money
@@roadworkahead8967Common sense is definitely a factor but I think we should avoid that line of thinking for every case. Many pastors are successful because they are charismatic-and honestly, well versed in reciting scripture-so they reel people that aren’t as well-read pretty easily. This is even more of an issue when you have churches and clergy that have been a part of the neighborhood for generations. They’re knowingly deceiving people that see them as family.
Your mom is out there living on God's money lol calm down
I hate being like this but as the son of a pastor you are mistaken. Churches try to forecast donations and a part of that money absolutely goes to a pastor's salary. Even though I was from a small church and we did not live on much part of my parents' income did come from my dad. My dad even stated multiple times that he is in sales not quality control despite absolutely hating the notion.
At some point being a pastor is a popularity contest and you do have to cater to your fickle audience that also may be sadly misguided into giving the wrong person an atrocious amount of money or vindicate an entire sect because one church from who knows where did something awful to parts of their congregation. The joke of this video is that we do not know who is in this congregation either. Sadly people love to throw money in the plate when they have a guilty conscience and only show twice a year. To add people will show or choose not to depending on who is conducting the service so how is money not for the pastor?
Also missions importantly depend on the diocese involved. Some diocese do not want anyone representing them in another country due to a number of reasons I am sure you can think of.
I do not want to keep going on but I have so much experience and I am probably going to stop reading the comments after this as well. Scriptures have been twisted with every revision. Are you referring to the dead sea scrolls or the king james version when talking about loving scripture? Sorry. Food for thought.
@@TyGreenGoblin Didn't mean to anger you. Yes, my mom does get a salary but it's a small portion of what the church collects to pay her. I wouldn't see it as a popularity contest, but maybe that's because I've watched how people are undoubtedly less enthusiastic about female pastors even though the Bible is very clear about raising up women to preach God's word. What I meant is that the majority of the money is not for the pastor. I didn't think that needed clarification but it's okay. Yes, there are fair weather congregation members but in my experience, especially in minority churches, there are many people that are older that have gone to the church for years and given money for years without anything relating to the church improving except for the pastors bank account. That is wrong. No matter what others may say.

In my hometown, when I was 13, I was attending a church where the pastor used the offering money to buy himself a truck. He and his wife (also a pastor) also withdrew money, which many were guessing went to the mortgage of a very
expensive home that they couldn’t otherwise afford.
2 people that handled the service money noticed the discrepancies and when they came forward about the mishandling, they were threatened and banned from the church.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35:
The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
That a feminist for you
And they think Muslims are oppressive
The important thing to remember imo is that the Bible, while "inspired" by God, is man made, and mostly written in an outdated time. We should not hang on to outdated text and rely on that for modern day times. It's fine to use it as a stepping stone and a guide, but it's important to be flexible in beliefs and application, which most people of faith don't do. And more importantly, it's okay to ask serious questions. God supposedly said and did some really weird shit himself, and as I stated in my own comment, this is coming from a Jewish guy.
Technically man wrote the Bible but I get what you’re saying though. Yeah but there are definitely things said in the Bible that Christianity kind of tries to pretend it doesn’t exists. Like I think there was some quote in the Bible where it was like if you steal something whatever hand you used to steal with should be cut off. It’s like confirmation bias, empahsis on quotes they believe support how they feel, and ignoring the rest of the stuff in the Bible. Like they used claims that things in the Bible that were said were some proof that god didn’t support gay marriage but there was a lot of questionable things said in the Bible too. For me personally I questioned my faith because of it. But I’m not going to tell anyone how to feel or anything that’s not my place to do so. But it’s not often people will talk about the questionable things stated in the Bible. And I think we should.

I started to become very vocal about the nonsense I saw and experienced. Folks who thought they were better. The way they ran cover for Dollar and the stuff he enforced or said. It was terrible. As folks who volunteered, we had to sign a waiver (or affidavit… whatever it’s called) with our social security number saying that we, for no reason, were to sue Dollar or the ministry at large. It wasn’t a good place to be.
My current church is way smaller. I’ve been there for nearly a decade now. Not to turn back to Creflo or any other “church” that touts the prosperity gospel nonsense that’s become a scourge upon the Body of Christ.
Well said brother thank you for sharing your experience. God bless you
They are a Scourge upon humanity.
@@felsonduem7100 thank you! God bless you!!
Ah man, I was in college park attending his church for years in the 90s and 2000s, I know exactly what you mean
@@BlueRuki yeah dude, it was a wild kinda place. And it what he was “preaching” barely lined up with the Word of God
I’m sorry but when that man yelling “YES YOU CAN” I absolutely lost it😂😂😂
The Gerudo Valley background music transition is just *chef’s kiss*
"Do you want your pastor to look broke?"
Well wasnt Jesus kinda broke?
Shame on these people It’s disgusting to hear and see this. My Dad is a pastor and these people ruin it for everyone like that one kid that in the class room who would behave bad and no one could go to recess that’s how I see it, I would see my Dad drop me off school and come home from a hard long day at work (yes work not living off tithes) then getting ready for service ans sometimes not eating at all, then having to preach to people who eagerly go and listen not knowing the struggles of the day smh these people ruin it completely with that being said not all pastors are like this is mostly a prosperity movement where all they preach is blessings and never touch on a person that need to hear the truth not some sugar coated gospel.
All I'm doing is filling the pastor's pockets when I go to church.
That is the most foolish thing I've ever heard
Most pastor's are not making close to 6 figures so you probably won't have to worry about that
Them people should have said “Hold Up!!🙌”
Jamari really out here preaching. Keep it up dude I think people need some rational positivity.
The verse isn't " money is the root of all evil" it's " the Love of money is the root of all evil ." - 1 Timothy 6:10
Jesus once said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Matt. 19:24.)
Big J. Much like you, I pray most everyday. More importantly to myself, I try not to forget to say thank you for your blessings, everyday.
I'm out. Peace!✌️

"YES YOU CAAAN!"
I thought Sams was just another grocery store. 😅😭
Welcome back jamari 🔥
I’m just blown away people still believe so strongly in this bs
Nsssssss bro
Yall would love the channel "the atheist experience" mostly the episodes with matt dillahunty. Ppl call in with their best evidence for god and it never ever goes well for them.
people still believing the world is flat, people will believe in anything
There really is no excuse for religion in the modern era. Just an archaic practice that is full of greedy charlatans that don't even believe what they're preaching otherwise they'd be terrified of consequences from their God.
@@fawnieee couldn’t of said it better myself
"Its about that donation baby"😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My pastor always calls us sweethearts, I was going through a hard time and he took me to lunch and just talked to me. This is sad to see
Tithing is supposed to be for the maintenance of the church & helping the needy, not for paying the pastor's salary. I'm not religious now but attended a methodist church in my youth that ran an awesome after school program 🙃
Tithing is also to pay the pastor's salary. Not the ridiculous sums these bozos make but a salary that they can live on.
how does the pastor or priest get a salary then? Who pays it? Unless your church only uses unpaid laymen then donations are going to be paying for the preacher/pastor/priests salary. But hey if it is a set salary then I guess in some ways its less open to abuse and maybe they should also be banned from accepting large personal gifts as well?
Churches should be forced to give their people a full breakdown on what their tithes pay and be forced to only take a specific low pay. These people usually don't have to pay for many things regular people do and get immense tax breaks.
I laughed at the massive difference in his apology voice versus him screaming at the congregation for the watch they (The busted and disgusted as he called them) didn't get him! Ugh.
I literally rely on you @jamari for current events. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but Imma roll with it! Love your takes on shit bro, keep it up
Haha I'm so glad you included that Kenneth Copeland clip, haha "LONG TUBE FULL OF DEMONS" 😆 classic
I guess a long tube of Demons is probably what you would get if you would fill a plane with those types of Pastors and Clergymen.
Honestly calling your followers broke is ridiculous 🙄
They’ll still keep coming back and filling up the pews 🤦🏾♂️
Many of them are probably broke because of him.
Am I the only one that always waits to watch these viral videos till @JAMARI does a video??😂😂😂
1:48 That man had the most evil villian smile ever LMAO
a christian preacher mocking the poor, knows nothing about Jesus, and I say that as a non religious man🤷♂️
he does know that invoking that name brings him wealth and power.
I remember growing up in the Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. My parents began attending services after the church they were going to before I was born told them they weren't giving enough money
This angers me in so many ways that I don’t even know where to start
😂😂😂 “Yes you can!”
