There must be something about water that calms the inner person because the sights and sounds of the ocean are so refreshing to me. The town, restaurant, and coffee are icing on the day. Little Joey is always such a delight to watch. He's such a cutie!
Your vlog was like "visiting Santa Cruz again!" It's been about 6 years since being there. I used to vanlife there as well.
SC is where it seems real vampires live!
Plus, WestCliff is my favorite "city" beachwalk area, especially around the Surfing Museum Lighthouse, although that 2.5 mile whinding beach sidewalk has SO MANY great places to relax.
Yeah...in 23 years of vanlife, I got the knock 2x in SC over a 4, 5 year stretch. I don't even like "1 knock" much less 2!!! In 23 years... I have only had 3 knocks....2 were in SC. Each time though, the authorities were calm.

Your opening scene, heading to Safeway, that brown/cream color van, it was still there yesterday.
Saw many many many nomad vans all around Santa Cruz. A few had all sorts of gear tied on top, front and rear.
Good that your van doesn't have such appearance.
Be sure to stop at the bakery in Pescadero on your way north!

Well, such is life. I wrote you a nice, long note, and then the computer told me I wasn't logged in. Dang! Joey looks happy. It is another pretty place you are at. It's getting up into the 70's and 80's here in CT. You don't have to use a cover at night anymore. It would be nice to make a few trips, but my a/c doesn't want to work, and I have a little dog. Someday, I might run into you, just not now.

Hi!!! I lived vanlife in the Santa Cruz area for 5 years!!! We mostly stayed in Aptos!!!!! We moved into an RV trailer a couple years ago but vanlife in this area was so amazing!!!!

I was talking to a guy, and I’ve heard others mention this, they charge their Jackery with a battery maintainer or trickle charger from their car dc . It pulls energy an a slow gentle rate so it doesn’t trip a fuse or hurt the battery.

Our air is clean here. Because we're on the NorCal coast, it's often overcast. Right now, while the rest of the state is enduring triple digit heat, it's 70-80 degrees here on the coast in the afternoon.

Try adding sea food to your diet? Humans are omnivores not veggies only. The Mediterainien diet would be a great boost for you? NP though gal pal, your the best and just trying to help a little .Thank you for your channel. There are minerals found in sea food that you will never get from plants.

Is there parking near the ocean that’s legal? I have lung disease I think I must get out of New York as I am locked in my apartment with windows closed from the Canadian tires. Praying For a direction end guidance on the day I should leave. Also, wondering if it’s safe for a woman to drive from New York to California

This has been a beautiful place for you, but for some odd reason, I found myself wondering what would be the minimum cost of living there would be. I am not sure why I even thought of it but it is a beautiful place right next to the ocean and I am just curious. Also I heard a rattling noise in your van I have not noticed before. Was there something rolling around? Hey after all the adventures my wife and I have followed you on I guess by now I have the need to help watch out for you. I don't want you to be somewhere on the highway or a place unsafe and something break or come loose.
I don’t have a calculation, but I live here, and it’s very expensive. Those of us who were here earlier in the years, might be doing OK, unless they have a lot of money. I don’t think there are many people, except for rich people, who can afford to live here now, it’s very sad.

I have one good video of a great place to check out, there’s some old historic places here that are really cool. But Chantel is really highlighting it really well, probably better than I have, probably because it take for granted that I’m here and I should not. L O L

Uhm… 🤔so that place you parked when you had to move @10:19 , the little dead end street that looked like it ended at a cliff with a guard rail… there was a “no stopping anytime” sign on the right 🤔… I feel like that’s REALLY bad advice lol. Just sayin’.
Lol No parking past that sign. Where i was parked was the parking area for the cove. Not long after that (shown in video) there was someone parked in front of me as well as behind me.
