I used to struggle understanding english. English is not my mother tounge. Bad grammar, lack of vocab.
Until I met my english teacher at 16. His name is Mr.Tan. He also worked at our school's textbook store. One day, he found an old english textbook from 1970s.
He used that book as guidance.
I started to understand english better and better.
At our big national exam, i score A1 for english.
Using his approach, i started to learn other languages by myself.
    I always love learning language.

      @@hina8578 Sure. Here they are.
Firstly, as far as I know, in every language, there are nouns, verb and adjectives.
Others are addition to make us understand the context of the sentence such as
      Book - table
The book is on (preposition) the table.
      Or she - walks.
      But how does she walk?
      She walks + quickly (adverbs)
Without all the additions, we can still talk (using body language)
But with the addition, the sentences become clearer, complete, beautiful and meaningful.

@@hina8578 2nd, to recognise the grammar form such as
Subject + predicate (predicate can vary)
      He + runs
      Subject + verb + object
      She + is writing + a novel.
Subjet + modal + root verb + object + time
She will write a novel soon

    • @olivemarinade
      @olivemarinade 3 роки тому +1

@@hina8578 all you need to know is the tenses form such as
Root verb - present - past - past - past participle
      Such as
      Write - write/s - wrote - written
You will get use to this as you read a lot or listen to audiobooks or watching english movies with subtitles first. Later, without the subs, you can still understand what they are saying.

@@hina8578 actually, in my country, the english education focus more on doing comprehension exercise.
Probably to make students know as much as possible vocab.
But if i don't know how to write, what are the use of the exercise?

IT ALL START WITH THE FUTURE OF TOMORROW! Help our youth and tomorrow will be that much better!!! Our youth needs us more than ever. Teachers are worth way more than we pay them but also with way more gratitude than we show them! God bless these humans that are far more compassionate than us!

People love this story because it sells this story that if only teachers worked hard enough, if only students worked harder then they can pull themselves up. This story is remarkable but it is not a realistic model to improve education.
It avoids the harder route of improving the education system so that classrooms aren't packed, kids get attention from a teacher that is not overworked and protection from abuse.

It's amazing how both ms. G and Jaime Escalante from stand and deliver were trying to be forced out for not conforming to the methods and politics that continue to not work to this day....
There's a reason that teachers like that are rare...they aren't wanted by the system and people with the care.amd ability to do so get burnt out or go onto something else where their efforts are appreciated...they should be the standsrd not the exception
