I love physics! My school doesn't offer AP Physics but I'm studying to take the exam because I want to take more advanced classes in quantum and theoretical mechanics in college. My dream job is to become a scientific journalist. I want to be able to make science interesting for people who aren't scientifically inclined. It's funny, because I really don't like math, but I love math when it is applied to science (it showed in my grades too, I only did okay in my math classes but I always got A's in science). Well I haven't taken the class, I'm learning it on my own. If you are really interested in physics and are willing to dedicate yourself to understanding the concepts, it isn't hard. But don't decide not to take it just because you aren't the best at math. I was never great at math but I've been successful in learning physics because I understand math better when applied to concrete, tangible things. So if you are really interested in the course, I say go for it!

on the velocity as a function of time graph, why wouldn't the velocity increase after reaching zero, since the object is accelerating downward after it's peak on the Displacement graph?

Then it slows down at a steady rate of 2.0 m/s² for 4 seconds. What is the final speed of the car? 2) A car is travelling north at 24.2 m/s after 12 s its velocity is 14.1 m/s in the same direction. What is the magnitude and direction of the car's average acceleration?

Hey guys, I had a question about physics. Let's say that the left is the negative direction and an object were to be going to the left at a constant 5m/s. Would the object's velocity be -5m/s to the left or would it just be 5m/s to the left? Thanks

Hi. Correct me if im wrong, when the ball is thrown upward, and when it is in upward direction, it is decelerating with a = -9.81ms^-2 and when it is moving downward, the acceleration would be +9.81ms^-2 right?
new to some of the physics terms, but also lost in translation from us to uk...so if anyone fancies clarifying for me, that would be appreciated thankyou... i don't think we do 'position' time graphs, we do displacement time graphs...is that the same thing? i'm guessing yes. Also, us videos keep showing a handy 'slope = ' arrows and things, but i can't be sure what it means, when they say slope does that mean the gradient, so like, y divided by x? i,e, rise and run?
Welp, I'll be getting a 1. Good luck guys.

+Asad Mitha It would be cool if you went to my website and found all sorts of videos where I solve questions just like these and more. flippingphysics.com/algebra.html
I'm not even taking physics as a subject. But the way your videos demonstrate the lessons are so interesting and simple that I decided to want to watch every single video lesson in order
Here is a playlist with the majority of my videos. Enjoy!

Hi. Correct me if im wrong, when the ball is thrown upward, and when it is in upward direction, it is decelerating with a = -9.81ms^-2 and when it is moving downward, the acceleration would be +9.81ms^-2 right?
Please enjoy this video: flippingphysics.com/common-free-fall-pitfalls.html
and so my ap physics journey begins
Oh boy. Not for the 2021 exam I hope...
so grateful for these review videos!
new to some of the physics terms, but also lost in translation from us to uk...so if anyone fancies clarifying for me, that would be appreciated thankyou...
i don't think we do 'position' time graphs, we do displacement time graphs...is that the same thing? i'm guessing yes. Also, us videos keep showing a handy 'slope = ' arrows and things, but i can't be sure what it means, when they say slope does that mean the gradient, so like, y divided by x? i,e, rise and run?
I think for your purposes:
- Position vs. Time graphs are the same as Displacement vs. Time graphs.
- Gradient and Slope are the same.
Good luck to anyone taking the test tomorrow!!
