    Hi everyone! I wasn’t expecting to buy a Louis Vuitton bag now especially with the price increase but when I saw this Speedy 25 become available online, I had to get it. Unfortunately, the zipper looks off-center and it’s really bothersome. I think this is a terrible flaw and I’m surprised it passed quality control in the first place! Or maybe this is common??? Even though my state is still under stay-home orders and I have nowhere to go, I’m still disappointed that I can’t keep her and take her out soon. Such shoddy quality at LV these days! Ok, rant over. 😤 Let me know what your thoughts are on the zipper issue, is that acceptable or NO WAY?! I say NO WAY because it’s a luxury item and hence the price point! Unacceptable imo!     I live in France and we also have quality issues, this has nothing to do with the USA but with the quality manager!

    Agreed! I would definitely return! Aside from the misaligned zipper, the zipper from the top view looks horrible...like there’s a big ripple/wave or something like that! That’s really disappointing to have to closely inspect a luxury good like that!

      I totally agree! I inspected it with an eagle eye but I certainly didn't think I'd find such a big flaw. 🤯

    I just got my monogram Speedy 25 last week. I was adamant about having one made anywhere but the US so it’s more “prestigious”. It arrived in the mail and it was made in the US. After talking to customer service over the phone and going to the store, I found out that all the materials are made in the same factory in France then get exported to various factories - US, Italy, Spain. So, they’re constructed in different places but leather, canvas, hardware, etc are all made in the same location. Also, they’re getting away from the side saying where it’s made and the stamping on the inside. They’ll all just say “Louis Vuitton Paris” like mine does. Lastly, mine is perfect, so I got over where it was made - which is only stated on a little sticker tag. Hope you ended up with your perfect one too!!

      I wasn't happy with both Speedys so I returned them. At this point, I don't mind non-France LV pieces, I just want good quality for the luxury price. So happy to hear you found the perfect bag!

    I would return too! It’s crazy that we have to inspect these bags this way! I am having to exchange an LV bag because it wasn’t sewn properly and made a “bubble/hump”. It’s ever so slight but I want a pristine bag for the price. I agree if it was a couple hundred Coach bag then I could live with it but not for that large price tag 🏷

      Isn't it crazy how expensive these bags are and their quality is 👎??? Not acceptable!! Hopefully you can exchange your bag with no problems! 🌸

    I was looking to get a speedy. When I bought my Alma a couple months ago I had issues with it too. Had to exchange it at the store. I've learnt my lesson and I'll be inspecting it in person sigh.

      Oh no! The Alma had issues too? That bag is on my wish list but idk, their QA is so lacking for a luxury brand. Definitely best to go in store and scrutinize!! 🧐

    Sorry this happened to you! I ordered mine online last month in 30 and it was just to big for my frame. So I went into the flagship store to exchange for a 25,
    and there I asked the associate for one made in France. She brought out 3 which I inspected very closely (for that kind of money) and came home with my beautiful flawless bag :)

    So sorry about your bag. Recently I returned a speedy with the zipper worst than that. It also came with a tarnished lock and key and a quarter sized black stain on the dust bag. Unbelieveable quality control.

    I would return it too, quality issue. Sadly the made in USA LV bags I’ve purchased had quality issues. Such a bummer.

    You have to return it right away and of course call them and complaint about it. I bought the Alma BB and my horror was having 2 different shades of brass on the handle one side was shiny and the other one was tarnished with so many hairline scratches. I was so mortified because they always say everything goes thru inspection before they ship out to the customers, it was actually made in France. I finally got my perfect Alma Bb after sending it back twice because of defects. I agree with you that the zipper are not in the center where it's supposed to...I hope by now you finally got your perfect purse because with the price increase (which they did several times since January 2020) everything supposed to be perfect and inspected properly before mailing it to their customers.

      I ordered 2 Speedy's due to defects and in the end, I returned both and got a Gucci instead. I certainly didn't expect to see such defects on a quality bag and with higher prices to boot! I'm so happy it worked out for you 💖 though it should've been perfect the first time!!!

    Mine’s the same way .....I don’t know if it’s because it’s made in USA. I looked at my 2 other speedy 25 that were made in France and they were perfect. I didn’t bother returning it....everything else is perfect.

      I wish I received one made in France! That off-center zipper was a no go 👎for me. Sounds like you really love the Speedy!

    Beautiful bag! Wow, LV ships fast! Love the Speedy 25 size - perfect as a cross body bag! Oh no, 🤦‍♀️ here they go again with the quality issues, I would totally return it as it’s not worth the aggravation considering the recent price increase. Perhaps you can check this out at the stores when they re open. Hope this helps you! Btw, new friend here, hope you’ll return the love. 💕

      I was so happy to receive it in 2 DAYS...and then so disappointed with the zipper issue. Ugh, hate dealing with shipping too! 🤦‍♀️

      WhatILike Syd I think this is how LV will start losing their client based due to their lack of quality control...a lot of their clients are willing to pay top $$$ but won’t stand for lesser quality...

    I ordered the speedy 25 in DE bandolier made in France from their website and it arrived 4 days ago. The bag just like yours has a wavy zipper, went to the LV store and returned it. Fortunately they had one made in France with a straight zipper, took it home. The next day I had more time to scrutinize the bag and I felt something weird with the handle, come to find out there’s a lot of wrinkles from underneath the handles. So tomorrow I’m headed back to the store to return it again for the 2nd time around. What’s going on with LV, so dissatisfied with the workmanship for the price we’re paying.

      I sent both of mine back due to flaws. I couldn't justify keeping it for the price when I know that's all I'm going to see - the flaws! Hope you have better luck when you go back!! 🤞

    It would be nice if LV would wrap it nicely for the price you pay. If its not wrapped up how would we know if it was a return item or not?🤷‍♀️

    Hi! Do u still have this bag? I received mine yesterday and I notice that the straps stitchings in the inner part is not perfect there's gap and big holes. I emailed them if they can only change the strap, I dont want to return the bag coz its Made in France. Hope you have a good day 😊

      No I returned it. If you have a store nearby, maybe you can take it in and ask? That's a tricky situation if it's just the strap. 🤔 If it's not very visible, I'd probably keep it but if it bothers you, def send it back.

    As a proud American, it breaks my heart that the Made in USA LV have so many issues. I’ve experienced that firsthand too. I’m so sorry. Bummer. I would definitely return it. Otherwise it’s a beautiful bag.

      Yes, it's packed up ready to be shipped back. I was a bit disappointed in the US label too, I think LV is having too many quality issues these days regardless of country tho. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Unfortunately, I'm still a sucker for their brand. 🤩

      WhatILike Syd I think other brands are facing QC issues too, like Chanel. I called Chanel’s CS today to inquire if I could purchase their new WOC with the magnetic snap closure over the phone, but because my previous WOC was preloved I don’t have an order history with them so I can’t order over the phone. No big deal, I understand. The comment that sorta alarmed me is that she said she recommends first time purchase to be in store so the buyer can look at the selection and inspect the bag. Well, I live in Minnesota where we don’t have a Chanel boutique, Neiman Marcus, or Saks. So I’m SOL there. Lol...I give up. I have a Louis Vuitton boutique and they’ve always been great about addressing any issues I’ve had. *cough cough 2015 pochette metis** Plus, I’m a sucker for LV SLG. I love them!

      @@luxeydaze I didn't realize Chanel took orders over the phone. It's too bad they don't offer online services. I would love to buy before their price increase at the end of the month. I'm sorry for your situation tho, I have a few stores near me (they're all closed currently) but at least I can visit them. 🙁

    I just got my brand new speedy 25 today and the zipper is "wavy". I also feel like for the price I paid in Canadian $ btw, the quality should be amazing. Should I return it or is this normal?

      If it bothers you, I would def return it! My issue was with the alignment of the zipper and how off-center it was but my zipper worked great. I had some comments that my zipper was wavy too but for me, it worked fine so that didn't bother me.

    I think the quality speedy 25 has decreased as I went to store to see speedy 25 Bandourliere damier eben and I could see defects on the bag. 2 days later my SA let me go back to have a look another piece and I could see this one better then another one but the handle just slightly not straight but the gold hardware does look better then another piece that I see earlier.
    My SA said that the company focus on selling leather handbag that more pricy.
    However I did accept the second piece but when i went home unboxing I could not find the product code. I did message SA she told me it is new version that they no longer have product code imprint inside anymore. one of chat comment on internet saying that Louise Vuitton trying to recoup the income that they lost during COVID by doing price increasing many Louise Vuitton lovers are panic of price increasing so this will increase the sell before another more price increase. Having invisible date code thay could increase their sell and decrease secondhand market vendors. It came across that no review on this handbag that no mention about no date code. This may be because it is new version.
    I am going to see SA and questions my concerns and and will make decisions whether to keep or return. My interest in Louis Vuitton has decreased as I feel that they seem don’t keep their quality to it should be.
    I am now to stage of trying to break out from watching bag reviews. I found when you watch so manny people talking about this handbag it does increase wanting and must have one. But I found our wanting never stop if we don’t learn how to stop.
    We need more sensible what is more important right now and this base on each person situation of income/position ect.
    Having expensive handbags is not truly my happiness but increasing my own property asset will help me to feel safe for unforeseen future. Many people loosing their job right now.

      After 2 orders (with flaws on both!) 🥺 I just returned it. Maybe one day I'll try again bc I really want to add the 25 to my collection.

    I purchased my LV Speedy 25 in Monogram 2 weeks ago. Mine was creased. It didn't make me happy, but stuffing it is helping. My bag does have a few teeny tiny flaws, but they don't bother me. My bag is made in France which surprised me. Unfortunately, for a few years now, LV's quality has diminished. I think you will be hard pressed these days to find a bag free from quality issues. Their prices continue to rise as their quality diminishes.

      I was a bit stunned that the Speedy was packaged smushed flat. I expect that from a $200 bag, not a $2k one! And on top of that, all those quality issues. I'd still like to add one to my collection some day. Enjoy yours! 💞

      WhatILike Syd that is the way all speedy’s are packaged. Flat like that. All come with creases, but those creases seem extreme. Like it was folded flat in the box for an extended time. Stuffing will help most times, but that misaligned zipper is very poor quality control. Definitely return it. I have a mono and ebene 30. Used once or twice each, the locks have lost their color. Showing silver. The quality is just not there anymore. Mine are from 2018, but the color wore off the lock in less than 6 months with almost no use. Maybe try a vintage one that’s in excellent condition. Then you will at least have brass hardware, and not whatever they have been using more recently. I do love that bag though! So beautiful 😍

    Vintage Louis Vuitton bags have much better quality than these new bags. I just returned a Speedy 30 B Damier and Alma BB monogram. Both are defective and were made in France. So wasted time and disappointed.

      I'm thinking vintage is better too if you can find one in great shape. I figure with LV prices, we're paying for quality now but guess not?! 🤷🏻‍♀️
