Love your videos! Thank you so much! I do have a question... does the end piping on the rep seem to be leather like the handles? Because I was wondering if it would patina like the rest of the vachetta? I had a very high quality rep that I did an olive oil treatment on the leather to get the patina process going and the piping didn’t seem to take to it. I’m thinking that the piping was not leather. It stayed the same very light color as the other leather on handles etc darkened to a pretty honey color. Is this the norm for auth or can you please explain? Thanks for your input! 😘
If it’s high quality the piping should be vachetta just like handles! So yes both will patina 😊

FYI, the date code of 2007 PREDATES the release of the Speedy Bandoliere which didn’t come out until 2011. It’s wrong for a bigger reason than just the zipper on the pocket! Also, the locks on the authentic speedy bags are not brass PLATED, they are SOLID brass. Otherwise, great review. Bag looks very nice. Mentioning the price may have been helpful.
Does the authentic handbags have the handle rings engraved with Louis vuitton?
No they won’t be engraved, just solid brass plated hardware 😊

Question about alignment on 30’s.... I’ve noticed on a lot of the reps coming out lately that the stitching near the zipper goes through the top of the row of fleur and circles but on the authentic 30’s it seems to always only go through the bottom of the row of flowers... I’ve turned down quite a few reps because of that- am I making too big a deal out of nothing?
I wouldn’t say you’re making a big deal, I mean we like what we like right? If that detail bothers you then definitely wait until you find one that’s fitting. I have found that it’s kind of hard to compare replicas that come in batches; to authentics that also vary through production and country of origin to specific details, like that difference ya know. Overtime so many little things have varied at one point or the other 😁

Ya know the thing about the mod shots most of us see, are taken by suppliers and then used by sellers. So a lot of the time if you notice, sellers use a lot of the same photos for advertisement. Not all of them but a lot do. So many technicalities to this right?! Lol
rep bags really bags really gain sheen on the canvas with time ? I'm new to the reps just started this summer . I've boughten a lot on mono .. but I worry that the sheen is the give away from a distance

So just to let everyone know, you can’t ever expect to get something based of a review. This is a great review and I love the rep. But that said, I purchased from coco, and my canvas (speedy 25b in mono) is very different from this one. Mine is really warm toned (kind of orangy) with no green undertone. Although because I’ve seen plenty on LV on fashionphile with warmer undertones , I feel the green is more authentic. And my handles came with wrinkles too. I’ll still be carrying it but over all it was a disappointment and my point is you never really know what you will get until it’s in your hands.

I wouldn’t care about the date code , if you were to ask me ( which no one did 😂) I don’t see why they put a date code in reps ... it’s inside , ppl buying them don’t need one , who looks inside your bag and they only enable those shady peeps to try and sell them as authentics .
Hey Matt, I’m surprised the only thing wrong with her bag was the date code. I purchased a few things from her in Monogram and in DE and they were terrible!! The mini pochette had the wrong chain and the canvass was faded and looked so fake. The 6 key holder canvas was just as bad and the favorite mm in DE, the logos were very blurry. When I reached out to her, she asked for photos then had the nerve to say she didn’t see anything wrong and suggested I shop at the authentic store so I then suggested that she stop selling junk. I get that sometimes you’re gonna get a bag with a flaw but for all her shit to be garbage along with being rude and having crappy customer service, that’s not acceptable. I will never buy her junk again. And as far as the date code, I just ordered the same bag from Nancy with a 2014 date code which I’m not too happy about but I can live with it.
I just got a DE Neverfull from Coco and my canvas is blurry as well. I sent pictures and she kept saying it was clear. The Louis Vuitton square on the bottom is practically nonexistent. Finally, she said she would check with the factory, but I haven’t gotten any more comments from her on it. It is a shame as the other aspects of the bag seem correct. Also, she told me she would send me PSP and then she told me she forgot. She did the same thing to my daughter. My daughter hasn’t gotten her bag yet.

I was referring to my authentic backpack being from 2004 as a comparison to how the old glazing on authentic used to be more matte as opposed to now it’s more shiny like that of a replica 😁
I think it’s because it’s just more easily obtainable now and not as exclusive as it once was. Not to mention how their quality has changed for the worse!
