Brass to Copper use normal 15% with Paste Flux. No need to use 45 or even 56%. And in cases that require high silver I prefer bare filler metal and once again white paste flux. Much better control.

@@HVACTIME in the EU it is a requirement (practical exam test) to be able to solder such a connection (brass/copper upside down). fail it (less then 80% flowed) and you fail the entire exam wich also includes a steel/copper connection in the form of a (copper plated) rotalock. you consume about 2~3 silver sticks and 4~5 copper sticks just in the exam. fun fact: the exam is expensive.

I find that breaking with nitro, is actually quicker than just waiting for the vac pump to pull down

why didnt you pull vacuum with 2 pumps on either side?
We did eventually. Problem wasn't the pumps. I have another video that shows my mistake
