They are a consistent problem with the sensors not reading correctly. Trane says they have improved the sensor design though they look the same to me. Just be sure to use the paste on them and verify your temperatures periodically. Thanks for watching Clifford!
@@EverythingHVACRI gotta agree with you … Found my 3rd faulty suction line temp sensor on Friday … Do I have to pay for the Trane software to bind the new sensor .?
There is no temperature sensor reading on the CH530 display. We connect through the TechView interface. Visible connections 16pcs. Through TechView it shows: active - 0 / inactive 16 pcs. Why so? Is there a step-by-step instruction on how to bind a sensor?
You may have a failed sensor, go to binding view and see if it's there then unbind old sensor that's not reading and bind new sensor. If sensor is there you'll see it in the binding view, it may show up as "Red" because it's not reading all other operating sensors will show "green" always verify sensor temperature readings with a K type probe. -0 is an unusual reading
@@EverythingHVACR How do I switch to snap mode? When I select the types of connections, all 16 sensors light up "red". A must burn only one, since only one faulty sensor.
Not sure what snap mode is but if all sensors show red you may have another issue, I have never seen one do that. That would make me think none are communicating, you could try a re boot of system. You may have to get ahold of Trane tech support.
Could be a lot of things, start with the basics Water flow, water flow, water flow. It's like air flow gotta have it, or you got another failing trane sensor.
hello sir my chiller ch530 circuit 1 stopped after running for 20 mins. and show on the screen External circuit lockout. how do i solve this. please help
External lock out sounds like it's going to be External to the chiller, could be many things but you need to check all pumps, flow switches and anything that may be controlling this chiller.
I have never seen excessive loss of communication but sounds like you need to start with basic checks, Verify all voltage and that all components operate and no fuses blown. Communication loss is just something not communicating. After voltages and all other things are verified make sure all sensors are reading... correctly... a power reset may be necessary especially if there were any power issues that may have caused a board or control problem.
The sensors communicate information back to the control. You must remove the old sensor and un bind so the control does not see that sensor anymore. The you have to pull the new sensor in to the control and re bind. Basically setting the control to see that specific sensor. There are many videos on binding trane sensors. Thanks for watching!
Good question and maybe one for trane, I would guess for one thing it keeps you from buying just any sensor and installing it this way you must go back to trane for parts.
Thanks Bernie! Is that a question? Not sure if the EEV binds it might be wired directly to the board. If it does bind you have to swipe a magnet just like the temp sensors then LED should light up.
@@EverythingHVACR That circuit will not run. the program shows 22 things its looking at, but the EEV circuit 2 needs to be binded it had some com problem i had to rebind 3 other things.
If it won't bind you may need a new Valve, otherwise should bind the same way as the sensors I would think but I've never had a problem with the EEVs before
@@EverythingHVACR Hello! Update on the chiller, the module harness that plugs into the eev is bad and they dont make them anymore. It sucks that chiller is only 10 years old so need to upgrade to new version of eev, short module harness and board up front that it plugs into. Confirmed by the trane tech to troubleshoot problem.
Nice video 👍
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad that worked out for you. I have these sensors dropping left and right here in Florida.
Thanks MegaDee911! Always verify my sensors on P.M.s they do have a high failure rate, even though Trane told me they have improved
I adore the sound of the VFD drives spinning on up
It is a nice sound! Thanks for watching!
The Hateful paste get everywhere no matter how hard I try to be neat! Nice vid

thank you for sharing your knowledge of service chiller
You are welcome, thank you for the support!

I believe tech view software is free. I think I saw a link posted by subcool hvac on one of his videos recently, but It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Exactly what my hand said 🤣🤣 nice I like it
Thanks man! I appreciate you watching.
nice video bro a need your help

Is the trane Type R, has a drain valve
I don't think there is a drain valve but could be wrong, been a long time since this video
First hit bind, and don't hit yes yet. After u have hit bind, then put ur magnet on, then hit yes.
I've been thru that frustrating situation before.
Correct, it's much easier on the new chillers, all can be done from the control panel without using tech view. Thanks for watching!
What is the name brand of thermal paste you used?
Honeywell tradeline 107408
Good ole CGAM
Yessir, all good except the sensors 😆

That the most problem with trane cgam suction temp sensor out of range temp reading
Yeah, all the sensors really, I've replaced a water temp sensor, it gets out of whack and locks out on low water flow. Thanks for watching!
Mine is showing 226 deg suction temp 😂😂

CGAM best practices, step 1: update software lol. The easy rider is a necessary evil. Get a drop on you and 10 min later your the tin man.

Can you please send me the software
That software is free, you should be able to download it, no licensing needed. Its called tech view.
Can be download free?
Honestly I'm not sure if it's free, it is not used as much anymore and usually the license that cost so it may be.
