  • This is another video in the series of "What is this park REALLY Like?"
Walker Valley ORV park is based just to the south east of Mt Vernon Washington.
There is one main staging area and two main entrances into the park.
This is showing where each of the areas are at.
Special thanks to those who helped me with filming the videos and being a part of the videos.

These videos are really getting me excited for when I can finally get over to that side of the mountains (and not worry about inevitably breaking something lol) with the ZJ!

      Heck yeah bud!
I will be doing videos for the other parks in the area as well.
Still have Tahuya, Evans Creek, Elbe, Capitol Forest and Funny Rocks to film for this mini series

Other than the v-notch in the skills area, I think that last rock step on Ron's Run is the hardest obstacle at Walker. If it's muddy and wet, forget about it... Ridge Ram rocks are very doable, even in the mud. Just my opinion. Oh, I also really like that big step/waterfall at the hard entry to Humps and Bumps above the skills area entry. Anyway, I couldn't agree more, Walker is great for all with a little bit of everything.

Ron's run is pretty crazy. I would agree.
The Ridge Ram rocks are quite do-able for those who have the skill set to do so. I agree. However, it can turn real bad real fast for those who don't know what they are doing or are under prepared.
But walker is definitely my favorite

So I ended up getting into walker valley through the easy gate keeper. I hit up a couple trails with a large group of jeeps for Dave's birthday run. I didnt do too much as I had to leave early. I did get some trail damage due to my own fault...saved my mirror but took some body damage because I didn't fold it back out.

Very nice bud. Glad you finally got out there! Wish I would have gotten an invite to join out there! Looked like fun.

The easy gate keeper is a lot easier now than it used to be. Looks like they filled it in a bit. The hard gate keeper is way easier if you drive it in reverse. Even my truck can make it through that way. 😄

Yeah I have heard that about the harder gate keeper. I haven't actually been back through it since I heard that. I gotta try it!
The easy gate keeper is a bit more narrow than it used to be. But still quite easy

Been rewatching as many PNW vids that I can...Are these open year round or are they gated in winter?

Evans Creek and Naches are closed in winter. The rest are open all year round.
Excited to have you out here soon bud!

10:35 That's what's both fun and shitty about wheeling up here, even with just a misting some obstacles become beyond gnarly when they're otherwise not too bad. Can be very deceiving at times

Very very true. It's always like it's a new park! And winter time, you won't know if the top half has snow or not til you get there. Love walker

I'm the opposite. I haven't done any of the single tracks at all. Eventually I do want to get a girt bike and roll around on that though

Looks like a older video. The South Gate Keeper is different now and a bit harder to get through for the longer vehicles.

    • @4WDTrek
      @4WDTrek  2 роки тому +2

It is not an older video. This was filmed about a week prior to this video posting.
The gate keeper was revamped in February this year. And since then, it has worn down a bit and is easier again.
